I can see where she is skeptical a lot of Disney stars have the talent there but are pulled back on Autotune and Zendaya in the past has been brought down by that and one of the other singers in the movie is dubbed by an actual singer. Since literally everyone else in the comments is just talking about Zendaya, I want to say how much I love Zac's voice in this movie. This is the first time we'd heard him sing since his high school musical days and it was great to see how his voice has matured and changed. He does have a lovely voice and I'm glad that you praised him. 😊

Yes Zendaya can sing, dance, act and she's an outspoken advocate for positive body image, women's rights, BLM and the LGBTQ+ community. If my daughter is going to "idolize" someone in Hollywood, I want it to be Zendaya.

Zendaya is literally good at everything she does. When it comes to singing she does not do it very often but always slays it
Literally everything she touches is gold. Such a talent that people still weirdly sleep on, they are always surprised when they see her sing and weirder still when they are surprised she can dance.

Zendaya not only sang, but if i recall she also did her stunts! seriously, this movie really needs so much more love than what it gets. it's kinda sad hearing Rewrite the Stars in the radio but know that people don't know where it's from QAQ and it's an original musical movie! i cherish it a lot and wish it got more attention
@FromDeyaWithLove yea sadly the movie didn't do all that well from what i understand. a genuine shame because the whole movie is a banger. If you haven't I'd watch CinemaTherapy's videos on this movie too! They're both really good and talk about two of the themes of this movie :3
The behind the scene where they end up hitting each other is so funny they showed it in an interview 😂😂😂
Unfortunately, the story itself was really weak. I wish they would have added at least 30 more minutes of development and depth to the story to move it along between awesome songs. The movie just felt like a disjointed series of amazing music videos without a cohesive story to tie it together. Like the leadup to Zac and Zendaya's song had no depth. They had a few heated glances, but very little dialogue to make their love story make any bit of sense.
@@sansfangirl4life439 A big reason it flopped was because P.T. Barnum was presented as a nicer man than he was said to be. A lot of critics thought they should've made him more of a douche who doesn't care about anyone but himself because the real life P.T. was said to be like that.
Still, it's a movie that was HIGHLY fictionalized, but it was amazing! There were some things plot-wise that could've been better, but I really loved what we got. And we got Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya singing again. Then in came Michelle Williams and Keala Settle and Lauren Allred. Really good!
I much prefer the movie version of the song. Love James Arthur and Annemarie, but you just can't match Zac and Z on this song
I believe everyone except Rebecca Ferguson ( who played Jenny Lind in the movie) did their own singing. Lauren Allred dubbed for Rebecca in " Never Enough," which you definitely should review. Zendaya and Zac sang back in their Disney days and of course we know Hugh Jackman can sing. I was pleasantly surprised at Michelle Williams's singing abilities in this movie as well. You should review ALL the songs from the movie.

Not sure, but i think the young hugh Jackman also did not do his own singing.
Jenny Lind also recommended that Loren Allred sing the song for the movie. Loren was hired to sing and then teach the actress(es) how to sing the song, but Jenny told the higher ups that Loren was the right voice and deserved to sing it.
@@flayremoon I was looking for this comment! YESSSS Rebecca can actually sing but knew Loren would be even better than her. So Rebecca studied Lorens tapes to match her breaths as well as mouth shapes and facial expressions to match Loren.
Zendaya did all her own singing, she as a child had a theatre background, performing in once in this island as well as other shows, she also grew up in Disney and had songs that she produced with them.
I forget people don’t remember she had a whole singing career hahaha I LOVE this song!!!
That's her voice 100%, The guys that wrote the music for Dear Evan Hansen, wrote all the songs for this movie. The only one song was dubbed, and that was 'Never Enough'.
I know this entire movie by heart, not only because it's a great movie, but also my 6yr old has been obsessed with it since it came on DVD! Thanks for reacting to it.

I highly highly recommend you listen to Zendaya’s acoustic version of rewrite the stars…she literally just did it for fun and it’s her voice and it’s not on the original soundtrack but it’s so good that I wish it was!!!

Zac Efrons voice has matured a lot,I know he did not sing some of HSM so actually listening to him as a more mature adult is great.

At 16 she had her first album come out, did DWTS, and wrote a book, in 2015, she was the youngest Disney star that starred on and produced the Disney Channel show "K.C. Undercover.", and worked with various stars on music (ie. Chris brown, Beyonce) has her own clothing line, movies, more television shows, ambassador for Lancome and SO MUCH MORE! Zendaya ...simply put is a multi-talented beautiful young lady.

👏Wow. Very insightful vocal analysis! The male vocals starting versus the chorus really do emphasize that the character is holding back and then letting himself go. This gave me an even greater appreciation for an already great song and it was fun to watch someone else enjoy it so much! Also, Zendaya does have a stellar voice (pun intended :)

Zendaya actually has some music out. I don't know if she has any recent music, but a few years ago she tried tge music industry though I guess she eventually focused more on the acting part. She came from Disney and lots of her characters back then were singing ones.

Cynthia Erivo originally sang this song when the film was trying to get green light! There's a video of her singing with the song writer here on youtube and I definitely recommend. It is so good and it has even more power than the final movie version!
