I've loved Josh Groban since I was young, but his mash-up performance at the 60th Annual Emmy Awards is one of my favorites.

First of all, that guy, stunning voice. As a classically trained vocalist myself (curently in recovery though), my ears were glued to his, calm, yet resonated tone and projection. Awesome 👏 The lady, I did not immediately take to her; and if I only heard certain parts, may have been turned off. However, after hearing her whole package, cumulatively, she was awesome as well!
Saw Josh on his Harmony tour for the first time. Woo hoo. Now wanting to see H.E.R 😀

I loved H.E.R. and Josh Groban singing here. Unlike some of Disney's live-action versions where you're going oh god please stop don't ever do that again. Or why did they make a live-action version of that movie when they should have done it when so and so was still alive and could still be his char. (I am not a fan of the remakes of the classic Disney movies unless it makes sense to redo them. I love Will smith hated him in Aladdin. But it all to each their own sadly)

My only critique of this whole anniversary show has continually been that I can't believe that they didn't give any reference to Angela Lansbury, even if it was after the show was over and it flashed very briefly.
Other than that, I loved this re-imagining for the anniversary.

@@toyadiinae9800 No worries. It’s hard to catch everything in one viewing. It’s at the very end of the song - she finishes and the stage goes dark and Angela’s picture comes up. I thought it was a nice touch, and didn’t want you to think they forgot her.

I think because she is half Asian is the reason why she holds her mouth/jaw that way. She's half Filipino. My best friend is Filipino, and he, his mom and and brother have "tighter jaws." They dont open big and wide. There's a clench. Not as relaxed. My Korean friend is the same.

@@Baby_Llama_Mama No problem! I just told you because you might not know that. I remember when I was a kid I used to listen to Don McLean singing that song. The first time I heard Josh sing that song I liked it but I preferred the original, but nowadays I like them equally: for the emotion I prefer the original because I think that in this particular music the simpler the better, but Josh embellished it without butchering it. The only covers he did that I didn't like was "She Moved Through the Fair", "Angels" (so-so), "Con Los Años que Me Quedan" (so-so), Straight to You (I don't like the original, as well) and "They Won't Go When I Go" (I love Stevie Wonder but I don't like this song). In an interview to David Foster and Josh the interviewer asked if Don McLean knew that Josh had covered the song and if he had heard Josh's version. DF said that Josh asked him (I was surprised when the interviewer said that he didn't need to ask!). Probably he was saying that if they paid the royalties to the record label it was enough or so. Josh asked Don, DF said that Josh always ask the composer permission and Don said yes and he loved Josh's version! DF added that Don sent Josh some stuff of his that he liked to Josh cover. I don't know why Josh didn't cover any more songs by him.

@@SongsFromASuitcase I actually have to disagree. Belle actively argues and disagrees with the Beast. She keeps her freedom of thought and independence throughout the movie, and she CHOOSES to stay. And if it were Stockholm Syndrome, then the Beast wouldn’t have let her go. She doesn’t fall in love until she really gets to know him. Belle has absolutely no characteristics of Stockholm Syndrome.

HER was fine. My issue was the blandness in her personality in the role. She didn't pop, though she did sound just fine.
I find it awkward watching HER sing with the closed mouth. It bugs me. .... You must go to a Josh Groban concert.....they are fantastic.

When watching the actual live production of the full show I really did not care for the singing. HER sounded like a mixture of bored and sick/tired, like she didn't want to be there, and a lot of the vocals, from everybody, were being lip synced. HER's voice is very good but it wasn't right for *this* show.
So did you actually watch the video of the PROFESSIONAL voice coach saying that it was amazing or did you just come on here to give your opinion, which no one cares about?
