fun fact is that all the older men were in the original Marry Poppins, they were all chimney sweeps!! A lot of the scenes in this movie are nods to original Disney movies and the boat part was a nod to the little mermaid!!

I love how this movie is just Disney parody'ing itself. You were right with The Little Mermaid. Amy running was probably a tribute to "Belle (Reprise" from Beauty and the Beast, and Jodi Benson who plays Ariel is actually IN in the movie (and Idina Menzel who later becomes Elsa, but this was way before Frozen). This was just Disney going, "We know we're crazy, here you are."
Paige O’Hara (Belle) is in the soap opera the prince is watching at the hotel.

Love this song. This scene cracks me up so much due to Robert(Patrick Dempsey) acting like oh god please Giselle(Amy Adams) can we go for a stroll and not burst into song.
I love the whole music journey in this movie. At first, it comes directly from Giselle with “True Love’s Kiss” and “Happy Working Song”, hence her Princess persona. But as the film goes on, with “That’s How You Know” and “So Close”, it comes from outside sources. Then the end of the movie “Ever Ever After” it’s telling the same journey Giselle took from an omnipotent source, Carrie Underwood. The music journey mirrors Giselle’s journey from Princess, to “Human”.
And this number isn’t so much “Kiss The Girl”, in a behind the scenes documentary, they said this song was a kin to “Under the Sea” or “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” from The Lion King.
Amy Adams also sang in The Muppets (2011). You should totally check that movie out. It's honestly really funny and has a ton of banger songs. She also sang a VERY LITTLE BIT in the Dear Evan Hansen movie (because they cut out the only other song her character sang in from the movie)

The composer of this song's music is Alan Menken, the same who composed all the songs of Little Mermaid, Beauty and The Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules and Tangled

I’m not sure if she sang in anything after but she didn’t sing before in fact she wanted so badly to not have a sing double that she worked her butt off in singing lessons to sing all the songs herself!
Bit of a late comer to this video, but if you like this one I have a great suggestion. You should watch the opening number for The Muppets (2011). It also stars Amy Adams and that particular song is very similar to this one, but poking fun a little bit in the way the Muppets do. Most of the songs here would actually be good as well.
enchanted is supposed to kinda mock all disney princess movies- you have her calling the dwarf grumpy aka snow white ref, the roaches and rats and birds helping her clean and make a dress is cinderella, and the boat science would represent ariel. i’m sure there’s more but yea
It's absolutely criminal that Amy Adams didn't get a song in the Dear Evan Hansen movie. But then again, it's also criminal that Idina Menzel didn't get a song in this one 🤷♀
I would recommend listening to podcasts of actors who worked with Amy in smaller roles on TV shows early in her career, starting with Tom Welling about her guest spot on Smallville. She was always destined to be an A-lister.

I always liked the villains, which explains much of my life...
If I could have any super power, it would be the "Disney magic" that Giselle is somehow able to bring into the real world. If I could "sing a tidy working song" and have the spiders, bugs, rodents, and birds just come in and make things clean I would. If I could a trip to the store a breeze by breaking into song and having everyone dance around to both avoid me, and help me shop, I would.
Life would be so much better if it was a musical. My life anyway lol.

I wish you would react to her voice more, more than that: hey they are on the boat or she has a cute dress. Yeah i don't care I care about your opinion and tips to have this voice, what methods is she using and all. Constructive criticism, not in bad way :)

Friend, I invite you to watch the vocal of this same song but in Brazilian Portuguese. For me, comparing the original version with the Brazilian Portuguese version, the Brazilian one is much better!! I would like to hear your opinion on video!
