Minimalist Watercolor Landscape Tutorial | Limited Color Palette

  • Here I paint two minimalist watercolor landscape paintings using a limited color palette. I am concentrating the darker tones and 'detail' towards the middle. The steps in both are more or less the same. You could repeat the same process wit different colours or try varying the forms!. Dont forget not to overwork the paint and please share your results with me if you want to.

    Materials used:
    - Archers Cold Pressed Fine Grain Paper.
    - Tape
    - Winsor and Newton Paynes Grey, Indigo Blue, Burnt Umber, Raw Sienna,
    - Medium sized round brush.

    Not a landscape, but pretty colours. It needs at least a tree or a hint of something for it to be called anything but a few swipes of colour, and some random scratches on the paper.

      I love the fact that art is personal perspective . She is the artist, she gets to say whether she intends to be a landscape or not. However, you as the viewer get to decide what you think it is to you. I think art really isn’t about any rules, and we all like what we like.
