    It's so exciting when they smash the topwater lures.

    • @ronaldshank7589
      @ronaldshank7589 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah! You're just reeling your lure in.... suddenly:WHAM!!!!! A big Bass hits, and gives ya a great fight, and you get the pleasure of reeling that baby to shore! The only problem that I see that can happen, is when the fish surfaces, and tries to throw the hook(s). Smallmouth Bass are famous for that! It's totally wild to see a Smallmouth tail-walk on top of the water, but ya gotta be careful that, in all the excitement, that you don't let your line go limp. If that happens, them that fish has a much better chance of throwing that ol' hook (or hooks), & then, there goes that fish...and then ya gotta honest up, & tell about "The one that got away"! I've had that happen to me quite a few times over my 46 years of fishin'. I've had big ol' fish either pop my line, or pull the hook loose from the line. I've lost hooks and lures up in trees, and one time, because of being in a tight space, and not paying attention to where my hook was, I've even hooked myself in the back.. and didn't even know it, until my younger brother told me about it, and pulled the hook out of my back! I've even had at least a couple of broken fishin' poles in my time. At 57 years young, however, the only way I'll EVER quit fishin' is when Death itself stops me, an' that'll only happen when the Good Lord up there decides it's my time to kick the ol' bucket! Until then, it's game on!
