I grew up fishing on creeks just like this in North Arkansas.. doesn't get much better than that! Find a live crawdad and throw him on your hook for those really tough bites, the beast will come out and smack it before the others!
I am 6feet 7 inches tall and was a very good basketball player but dude I will never watch another NBA game as long as I live !!!!!!!!!! Love your vids but I can't stomach the NBA ever again until something major changes!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck fishing God Bless
I grew up fishing creeks like this in N Ky with my best friend John. He was a little older than me & he is the best fisherman i have ever known. The hours we spent wading these creeks, from one hole to another, never knowing what you might catch was so special. We once found a creek that took a long hike to get to from the road, but it was full of smallest. As we were coming back to the car with a stringer full of nice smallest, we passed by a junkyard where one of the employees or owner was out. He stopped us & asked where did we catch them. We told him about the creek down a ways from the yard. He looked incredulous! He had no idea that there was a creek down there.
@@hypocrnsnk Because it is a fun game. I love all the big 4. Especially baseball. Not so enamored with the politics being injected into the games right now....
I love your genuine joy every time you land a fish and your appreciation for other fish species that we just take for granted. There's so much beauty in the diversity of fish; it's on us to simply see it.
Man that water looked so clear and beautiful. God's county is amazing! It's been raining so much near me it feels like I haven't seen clear water in weeks haha. Thanks so much for the sub as well! Tickled me to death to see that notification. It really means a lot. Truly thanks for that!
Just wanted to take a minute to thank you for taking the time to show us each fish that you catch. Some of the bass are really nice looking fish and when you are catching the small fish like green sunfish and others like that are so pretty. They look like the kind you would find in an aquarium. I love the multi-colored ones with different colored fins. It's almost as much fun as actually being along with you. Happy fishing.
My son asked me if I could teach him to fish because he watched another video of yours and said he wanted to learn. Proud father moment, so ty for all your videos from All of us.
Man I live and fish so close to you and I love your videos and how you share your faith openly in them. It’s my dream to meet up and fish some of your spots with you one day lol keep up the videos man!
John, I’m at the first fish and commenting. This place is special and beautiful. The fish look healthy and strong. If you zero your scale with the gripper attached you will have the fish’s true weight. What do you wear for wading shoes? I notice you also wear socks is there a reason why and are they special for the task. I am a shore fisher and finding the right shoes for the job has always been an issue. You just mentioned your polarized glasses what brand and color do you use?
Wow, What a special creek, beautiful. Another awesome upload. Keep up the great work. I used to really enjoy basketball too. They've managed to make it to political to enjoy anymore. Oh well, more time to fish now. :-)
What a gorgeous creek! The water quality there must be excellent, just like some of the creeks I fish here. Great looking smallmouth bass, and that giant Redeye was the icing on the cake! Great video John.
Thanks and double thanks for these videos. Decades ago had relatives in the Ozarks and still some on the NC Tennessee border. Watching you catch those smallies, rock bass and bream really brings back memories. Love in S.Ms. and there are some good spot bass wade fishing places here but it’s usually very tough going and thick underbrush. The mid south hill country , its some of the best wade fishing out there! Just beautiful streams. Thanks for being a kind agreeable man!

John the take a kid fishing was great. Doing that once a month in a type of drawing after making a merch purchase could blow this channel up. Great vid and AMAZING water. God Bless
You are so fortunate to have such beautiful creeks and streams in Tennessee. Beautiful smallmouth water. Now I need to get some swim baits and helgrammites. There is not a more beautiful or feisty fish than a steam smallie. You lucky dawg!
Catch like 3-4 of those Rock Bass, take 'em home, and ya got dinner! I'll bet they're good eatin'. I remember my first time of having Largemouth Bass for dinner. Other than missing a few small bones when cleaning the Bass, it sure was good to eat!
Rock Bass are a highly-underrated fish to catch, there’s a local lake that has a good population of them and I think they’re really fun. They’re like a super-aggressive bluegill with a bigger mouth, so they can eat all kinds of stuff. An ultralight setup and a good rock bass bite, WOOO! Haha
Always love everyone of your videos and personally you have undoubtedly the best fishing videos on the web because you are so real, simple and have not gotten so big that you do not respond and that is priceless! I am jealous of the places you get to go as they are so pristine and beautiful as I am stuck in the Rockies west of Denver and this summer has been the driest in 18 years and I have never seen weeds die not to mention there is no fishing here other than the nasty trout that nobody eats....can not wait to get beck to your neck of the woods which is definitely Gods country for many reasons!! One last comment since you did not allow on the last one with the two young boys....I think it is so incredibly commendable that you take the time to take youth fishing as that is one of the greatest lessons for the youth is to get out in nature and learn to fish and you are so patient with them it is AWESOME! Give a person a fish and they eat for the day but teach a person to fish and they eat for life(paraphrased of course)!! Keep them coming as I never miss one!
That first smallie was a chunk . I thought it was 4 lbs by looking. That is a beautiful creek. those huge rocks in the shade and the creek beach is fantastic. Great job you made for yourself there. Just keep beans, asparagus, butter , oil, eggs and some flour and you take your meal home every day.
Looks like some good fishing bro.watching you had made me decide I need to grab my gear and head to my local stream for some rock and smallmouth bass.good old fashioned water shoes, swim trunks and a small waist pack packed with a few lures.back to basics I say.
I caught a 6-7 pound Smallmouth late afternoon in central Va. in the summer in '98 under an overpass route bridge. There were no stores open in this area to weigh/validate it, and I had no state fishing license. I released it. I KNEW this was a trophy fish at least if not a state record. I released him. All with a 5/8ths weight Rooster tail spinner, yellow or red bodied with the silver/chrome blade..incredible..Robert at 68 in Arizona.
