I swear i feel like a kid withhis cartoons everytime the notification for one of your videos drops on down😎 Theres somethin about the creeks that make your content so chill to watch!! Being in those smaller unknown places just seems more adventurous and fun than a big lake or river....theres just so much more to see, to explore. And you my man, do it like no other. Its easy to feel like im wading through those waters right beside you!! Thanks for all you bring us, keep it up FISH ON 🤘🏻🤙🏻👌🏻✌🏻
Yes but you have to real quiet usually i fish from bank crouched down especially for trout but even bass ,I avoided wading it scares the bigger ones lolol
The cool part of creek or small river fishing is you never know what is around the next bend, is it rocks, a deep slough, a bunch of downed trees you never know. I always love to take someone that is a little ADHD and they have only bank fished or lake, they are usually hooked.
@@johnmullen2990 I worked for the fishing department in germany and you have to do a test to get your fishing licence. Guess what: all the ADHD kids made it easily! Once they are hooked, they really wanted that licence! Loved to work my way to these kids, best moment is when they realize what they can do. Keep up the good work!
I've caught some really big smallmouth and largemouth in streams and rivers on top water baits. It used to be buzzbaits. Now I like to throw whopper ploppers and smaller poppers like the yellow magic or rico.
Toss them things up under overhangs and hang on! They love the shade on these hot days. A little current helps too. I pulled out (2) smallies over 18” and a largemouth at 17.5” last week.
Nice.. welcome to the World of Ploppers! I do this all summer long, walking and fishing rivers! We get alot of big smallmouth and Pike on them. Usually the fish jump like mad...alot of air time! Fish-On! Berkeley has the Choppo also ...a good Plopper to. Get a Whopper Plopper PacMan color go to a clear water smallmouth river and hang-on! LOL!
Up here we fish top water just as the suns going down ,and when the sun is first coming up. I personally used to catch a ton on topwater.I haven't fished in a while.I definitely plan on getting back out soon.God bless, thanks for another great vid.
I like watching this channel because it has no CLICKBAIT titles, it doesn't put a half naked woman in the thumbnail just for the clicks, this channel is just about a guy having fishing adventures in the creek
Creek Fishing Adventures we are going up to cookeville today for small mouth fishing. Wish we had our cameras lol we plan to buy go pro hero 8’s next month
Reminds me of some of the Ozark streams in Southwest Mo. We use to catch 15-20 over 15 inches that was before they reintroduced otters. You video brought back great memories. Thanks for sharing.
As a kid I used to go with my dad just before dark on a creek and he would fish with a black jitterbug and catch rock bass and smallmouth bass in the clear water of the Ozarks
My man, it's been a rough couple of days. Giving it up to God and watching your videos to help mellow my mood really is super helpful. Glad you do what you do.
A tip I'll give from using lures when I fish, Flatten the barbs on the trebles with some pliers, It makes unhooking the fish a little easier and since it is catch and release, it does less damage to the fish, especially if the back treble get hooked in the gills or belly of the fish
I may be fishing jitterbugs wrong.. I've never had a strike on one. Tried them a lot when my topwater soft plastics were catching dozens and would run out for the day.
John, great Whopper Plopper action... gotta love that top water action! I love using the Whopper Plopper or the Jitterbug because you can move more quickly through the water versus the Hulla Popper or other slow moving popper baits. The Lord certainly blessed your day on the creek. 🎣👊🏼🇺🇸
I just got a Nasci 2500 with Shimano Sellus 7.1 medium/light action spinning rod. Would the whopper plopper 90mm be to heavy for that setup? I also bought a 60mm Plopper
@@greg6162 From the positive reviews on this rod it appears to be a very effective fishing set up for bass fishing. So, I believe that you got a really nice rod and reel that should produce some nice quality bass. The Whooper Plopper 90 is a little big for me when fishing in small creeks and rivers but should work for your fishing pole. I definitely recommend using the 75 or the 60 for small creeks and rivers. Hope this helps? Blessings, Rob
wonderful video. creek fishing is awesome. haven't fished a creek since the early 60's. Too old now but I relive it through your videos. Thank you so much
Another great video beautiful scenery clear water nice fish be nice to be fishing without a lot of people around always have great spots to fish nice healthy fish great video again
The real old, as sixty years ago, Creek Chub wooden floater with real glass eyes attracted everything largemouth from small to massive. The last one I had went to a huge fish that broke a fifteen pound line on a bank side flip flop still in the water.
Great day. You have renewed my confidence in fishing top waters. I have always dine well with swim baits, but definitely gonna have to rev up my top waters.
Thank you for reviewing and using the Ozark Trail Lures my friend, I fish the River Bank and lose quite a lot of Lures so I buy the Budget stuff most of the time from Walmart and I know that the little Lipless and Poppers work really well also. Stay safe my Friend Semper Fidelis
There is a buttload of creeks in California! They may not look like God's Country like Tennessee but they still got fish in them. My buddy use to catch 20lb salmon in Walnut Creek (the creek not the city) where it flowed through Concord down by the drive-in.
Top water is the best 100% summertime favorite. Early morning late day bass. Hit structures and shade. My favorite is tiny torpedo and a popR.Thanks for the video
man you had a great day,, that was fun to watch had to be fun to catch all those,, I have in all my life caught one fish on top water,i might have to rethink that good video John thanks
95 is hot for Tennessee? I’ve fished in 108 degree weather on the bank during the heat of the day and i just got a bit of sun tan. Texas is something else.
Your channel came up in my recommended, and I must say, I'm really enjoying it so far! And you live in Tennessee! I myself am from Northwest Tennessee, so to find a TH-camr from Tennessee is pretty cool! Y'all got the mountains, we've got the really flat farmlands!
With two large sets of treble hooks u could press the barbs down and make the baits barbless. If U haven’t already. U won’t lose many fish. It sure is a lot easier on the fish. Bonus: Easier to get out of ur hand too.
You are going to have people sending you nets left and right. LOL Those ARE nice size fish coming out of a creek. Thanks for another great video. Happy fishing.
When they're on, they're on. Plopper is my newest trial and error, bass have been responding good on the ponds. Next time you go to Bass Pro Shop pick up some small XPS Popper Lures. Similar to the Pop R but I like the smaller ones in the golden shiner and silver shad color. Try the pop, twitch, pause routine. Speed up as necessary. Thanks for this video brother.
Thanks for another nice video! Brings back so many memories from my youth. I would usually use live hellgrammites to pull out some nice smallmouth bass from the creeks here in Western PA.
Not had any luck with the two WP's I have but I've seen another guy use the perch pattern and snag some nice fish. Back to the bait shop. LOL Awesome day!
I'm right with you...I've had two Whopper Ploppers in my creek bag for months now and have never had the courage to pull them out...I catch tons of dink pond bass on them. I've thrown a Pop R a couple of times in creeks but could never pull the trigger on the Whopper Plopper. After watching this I'm giving them a try now!
Good stuff. I like to pinch the barbs down on those treble hooks. Easier on the fish and a lot easier on your skin if one bites you. Thanks for another great video!
I started creek fishing with my boys because of your videos! Whenever we past a ditch anywhere I’m looking to see if there’s water and fish!! Will you please add some shirts for women? If you do, I’m buying!
gospelgirl2012 in Ontario I do the same check out every culvert, bridge ,creek lolo .when my son was 1 1/2 I started him fishing streams creeks all the time and rivers ponds .Now at 26 he takes me on Lake Erie on an old boat I gave him which he totally restored . He took me to Lake Erie Father’s Day we caught 5 rainbows and 1 walleye it was our first time fishing Lake Erie great fun
Now that’s a good day at the creek. Thanks for taking us along 🤙🏻

Nothing better than getting in from fishing and CFA uploads a new video.

walking the dog with zara spooks my fav way to bass fish. saltwater spooks can be fun too!
One of the greatest topwater lures ever made, the Whopper Plopper. Glad to see the knockoff works well. Nice vid!

Amen to that and he doesn't talk like he's hyping up a monster truck rally or pro wrestling.
That one release that you had with a basket above water and then jumped was awesome

I only fish top water for bass and use poppers. Looks like I’ll hit up Walmart for the Ozark Trail plopper. Thanks for the tip!
When the creek has a good stain going on the Whopper Plopper is awesome.
The whopper ploper is BY FAR my favorite top water lure to fish with. Pike love it too!
That's a beautiful creek! So the fish aren't hawgs. They're healthy and not getting trashed. Thanks for taking the time to make these vids! 👍
Lots of fun, thank you!!
My man, it's been a rough couple of days. Giving it up to God and watching your videos to help mellow my mood really is super helpful. Glad you do what you do.

I love the sound of bubbling top water baits in the morning!

You definitely slayed those bass today! Great video 👍... Looking forward to the next one!
A jitterbug is also a great bait u should try, and a Zara puppy spook is great for creeks to!!!!
I love the jitterbug but I had no idea about the puppy spook
@@predwards8941 Its just like a spook, but a smaller presentation, great for creeks.
I've caught alot of smallies and largies on the Zara spook puppy. My favorite color is bone. 👍
I may be fishing jitterbugs wrong.. I've never had a strike on one. Tried them a lot when my topwater soft plastics were catching dozens and would run out for the day.
@@zachg8508 I have had the most success with the jitterbug at dawn and dusk, even catching a few nice ones after dusk.
Top water is my absolute favorite nothing like it!!!🎣🎣
I'm loving the slow mo action John! Keep em coming brother✝️
Thanks! Will do!

Good fishing as usual. Glad that ozark trail caught lots of fish. Thanks for using it.
Topwater is most definitely the funniest way to catch bass!! Good vid bro!
Another great video beautiful scenery clear water nice fish be nice to be fishing without a lot of people around always have great spots to fish nice healthy fish great video again
The largemouth with the distinctive dark black spot on the top of its tail was really cool, you’ll know it if you ever catch him again!
Another great video John. Nothing better than a shallow top water bite
Awesome 👍... I'm ready to get off work and hit the creeks up...
Yes sir
The real old, as sixty years ago, Creek Chub wooden floater with real glass eyes attracted everything largemouth from small to massive. The last one I had went to a huge fish that broke a fifteen pound line on a bank side flip flop still in the water.
wow thats crazy
That looked like so much fun!!! Action packed top water explosion 👍
When its hot like it has been i have better luck fishing top water either early morning or right before dark. Great video!
Yeah, dawn and dusk are great times when it's hot.
Damn, same creek ,completely different results .. that was a huge lesson i guess! 😉❤great video!
Wow!! Great Day!! Hot 92. 117 degrees July day my neck of the woods ! Still a great day! God bless you always. Some healthy fish today!!!

I have been wanting to pick these up but my local Walmarts do not carry them. Love the crank baits from Ozark Trail
