Fishing to me if you catch something it’s a bonus. Just enjoy being out of the house enjoying what God created don’t forget to look up say thank you. 🙏
Amen brother
Amen! God loves us all so much to have given us all these waterways and fish to enjoy.
Amen to tht🙏🏾💯
Amen my brother
God bless you and this message brother this is awesome. Couldn’t agree more..and to share them with my dad I am very grateful.
Just a little piece of advice, from one angler another. I love fishing Zara puppies, and Zara spooks top water baits in the creek. If you noticed, the strike that you did get on your Heddon top water bait came at a pause in the retrieve. When I make my cast, I'll let the bait sit for a few seconds before I start my retrieve. Once the lure hits the water, anything close to it, will usually come and inspect what hit the water. Sometimes the strike will come at the beginning of the cast while the bait is sitting there, and right after you start the retrieve, as soon as the bait starts moving.
Thinking like a fish. It works!
The Puppy, and a Sammy 65, are two lures I've seen in these types of creeks/rivers that will get bit after you've had no interest in anything else. Other times, it works opposite, bottom lures and mid-depth, like John wrecked them with in the video.
I agree... It is so hard to let a bait just sit there, though 😂😂😂
A similar retrieve twitch and pause is a killer with a Torpedo, Popper and Chug Bugs. When I pause the Jaws theme is playing in my head.... 🦈 🦈 🦈 🦈 💥 💥 💥
90% of my strikes comes when my bait makes initial contact with the water.
I can't go out fishing anymore, but I *love* your videos. Creeks and small rivers...nothing better. Thanks for taking me with you.
You were throwing some awfully big baits for a creek, but it paid off! 😱
I was pleasantly shocked!🤯
This is how I started fishing 50 years ago. I still love it.
That was some nice creek bass now!!! Gotta get me one of those Creek Monster shirts. That’s REAL fishing.
It's the only fishing to me.
I'm going to my favorite creek here in SW, Ohio, this evening. Got my Nikko Hellgramites ready to hopefully slay😢 some smallies. Love your channel, John.
i fish the GMr all the time
I appreciate the time and the risks you take to get us a video. It's rough like you said. Stay safe and my God's blessings continue to fuel your love for fishing.
Classic creek fishin'! For me, watching is the only fishing I'm capable of, these days. John, you never fail to bring home the excitement! Thank you for sharing. Would love to join you for real, but I'm on the other side of the continent. Cheers!
Love that kind fishing
Hello I'm fairly new to your channel. I'm retired and have a lot of time on my hands. That being said I have watched a lot of your videos. I live in Flat Rock Alabama and one of the videos you maid was 2 miles from my house where you had lunch and saw the small dam so you fished the creek. I'm not an angler by no means and haven't fished artificial bait. I do want to learn and I'm picking up a lot of tips from you and I ordered some Nikko hellgrammites and a few rubber worms. Thanks for the great videos and keep it up. God bless
Fishing the ol swimming hole. No smallies yet. If you remember you caught one below train Tressel about 2 years ago on a spinner bait. Glad you had a great day. You should try sale creek blue hole or soddy blue hole.
thank you for your creek fishing content that’s what we have around here more so than lakes so it’s great to see how you break them down and highlight creek specific philosophy
Home town Dayton TN love it
Looked like a real nice day fishing ! Nice catches! I really like that nessia bait too.
Most rain we've seen in 50 years has made everything super murky. But it caught me my pb shiner today. 11.5 inches. And I'm stoked to see how it changed the creeks and rivers.
Good job putting the puzzle together 👍
A blessing in the south is having bigger fish than we northerners have in our rivers of the same size.
I love your content and inspiration. Thanks for putting the work in.
Good job, Jon you were persistent and it paid off.Good selection of lures. You had a great day, and congratulations.
Awesome! I love creek fishing like that! Wading, casting, working those pools riffles and runs. That’s some of the best fishing in my opinion. Plus you can catch multiple species possibly. Good times man! Awesome video! That fish under the bridge was really nice.
SMESH JOB!
Awesome video, John
Atta boy, thanks for sharing and have a Blessed Day!
Some good bass In this video. I don’t have confidence in big lures so this helps me out!
I was rigging up rods as I watched, been hooked (ha) ever since I found your channel and doing nothing but binge watching. Hopefully sunday I'll be out on the creek, maybe with a flyrod and cicadas. Figured it might be worth a shot.
I walked down to the lake bank last Thursday, didn’t even take a tackle box. I caught a 12 pound bass!
What state?
@@survivalguy69 Arkansas 🙂
We have a water way by us that has some pretty good current far up it. And when it rains a lot i have luck pulling nice largemouth out of fast, shallow current where you think ‘dude no way a largemouth is in that’. But they are. Not as fun as a smallie in current. But a great time nonetheless
thats awesome
Great work and video brother. I like that Tequila Sunrise color for bass. You moved around and hung in there while trying some different baits. Even when they're feeding a swipe at my topwater without a hook up still tells me somebody's home I just haven't sent the right invite for a meal. Blessings John and keep them coming
Excellent video today just enjoy these creek out in nature finding fish, but you were catching some monsters brother nice job! Tight lines take care and God bless!
Enjoy watching your videos. Fairly new kayak fishermen here in Georgia. One day will head your way to check out Tennessee fishing. Just ordered a new cool shirt you put out on your site to support you. Always enjoyable watching you so it was well worth it thanks.
My baby just fell asleep to your videos 😭🫶🏻🙏 very calming
I'm just a 61 year old baby and I sleep fantastic listening to Creek Fishing Adventures
Elvets and small snakes are a common food in summer in those brushy creeks along with leeches and crayfish
its a bass buffet
Man some of them bass were huge!!!
Nice job as usual John.
As summer is coming around I love to fish bass fishing especially keep up the videos.😊
I would not have thought to use a nessie in creek current like that. Will definitely be trying it now, though!
Another lesson learned thanks John excellent content
Another great fishing adventure. Totally Awesome!!!
Nice fish catching! Cheers! 🎣🐟👍💯
Good job John,.....this was a neat video...I really enjoy it. Thanks for sharing.
Fun fishing right there looks like you learned some things too
I like when I see you with a Fenwick rod they are the best
Fishing always fun 😂
Great video all always John! I really like the looks of the Nessie in the water but it comes to the surface too easy. I am going to try the 5” on my BFS setup and see how it does. I have some small nail weights I’ll probably try in it.
Awesome bass catch under the bridge 🌉 there Jon!!! Great video 📹 👍
I noticed on that nessy glide bait you wer having some trouble hooking up , I’m pretty sure it’s because you didn’t have a second trebble hook to cover the ass end of the bait, not sure if it’s how they are made. Anyway love ur videos , as I’m still learning they help me catch more fish😎👍 thank you , best of luck and god bless
great video and great fishing!! enjoy watching you fishing.!! when I can I get outdoors!! have a good day and week.
GOTTTTAAAA LOVEEEE A NEW CREEK FISHING VID
John this intro that I still haven't made it through has me all kinds of hyped up! lol 10/10!
Congratulations what a greatday
Nice ones! Those are some beautiful spots.
Good fish, good day, obviously tiring day ! I like the Creek Monsters shirt, have to get me one soon. Pap Blevins
John, I Fish texas rig no weight, just cought 12 largemouths in a 2 hr evening trip. love your videos.
some nice water and fiesty fish on this one - proves you have to be adaptable when you go fishing and when you are it can pay off
Gotta make your stuff available to ship to Canada! Would be more than happy to purchase some!
Man that’s a nice Bass and I’m going to have to start fishing the little still spots in the River and try to find that Lure at my local Walmart. I didn’t know that Bass hung out in the Current honestly.
That's why it's called fishing not catching😂
Tequila colored worms and stickbaits always both do well in Florida too
Something it to all day to Figure the fish out.
This looks like it's in walland tn on the old road.❤
2nd cast was immaculate
Great Fishing ..... love your videos
Any one of those fish would have made a normal highlight real, but you busted out a bunch of them. Excellent day of river walking.
I've watched so many of his videos that I recognize the creeks he fishing 😂😂😂
Walkin’ the dog
You should travel to the PNW and try your hand at 20lb. steelhead in those type of creeks.
That's a lot of the fun is to figure out the pattern.
Some nice ones John.
Fisherman and prospector for gold look at creek for both lol 😂
That ain’t no 4 😂 that’s mayyyyybe 3. More like 2.5
wait i forgot, was that you or me holding the fish?
some nice bass Bro
Since I was just a young buck, my favorite, most productive color worm, has always been in the purple family. Any idea why that is?? I assume it’s due to fishing similar water clarity and color.
Good question! i really cant figure out why certain colors work
How did you feel about throwing that Nessie? I was getting tons of short strikes. I think it might be because there’s only one hook and it’s in the upper portion of the bait. Still had TONS of strikes and reactions!!!
i had a bunch of hits that didnt get hooked also, but i noticed it getting hits that i wasnt getting on other lures. for as light as it is and easy to use it seems pretty good. there is always the battle between getting more hits than normal and what you actually catch
How is it that you aren’t covered in chiggers and ticks???
What are you using?
I need to get more comfortable with a baitcaster which I know you have lately but nice to see you have confidence throwing some of those baits you used on a spinning rod. Do you tie the same knots for all baits or switch it up depending on what you are throwing?
same knot for about everything, UNI knot
Damn. Jeremy Wade would be proud!
Love the videos bud
nice bass
Awesome many quality largemouths. I would just like to catch one of them. Then I could say yes, yes, yes, thank you, Lord.
Great trip john I wonder if you use that glide bait like a jerk bait ?
Have you use the tackle HD helgramite????? Very good bait!!!
just a few times
Great video it maybe your first fish on it but it was a nice for the first so that would make it a great start. John what is your favorite topwater lure thank you
favorite is probably the choppo 75
You ain't fishing in Florida that's for sure... great video
First one to watch your video a good one.
Keep them coming!!
So nice 🇺🇸🎣☦️
What hook/jig do you use for the hellgrammites?
zman bullet z 1/10 oz
Is that hellgrammite the obsidian color?
yes
If i throw topwater in a creek , its a buzzbait or a plopper
How do you know how deep that murky water is? I'd be scared of a big drop off!
Busted my butt pretty good today doing that exact thing 😅
Stay safe!
Do you not have a smaller kayak to fish those big creeks?
i dont think a kayak in here would be worth it, just keep getting out to drag it
You fishing straight braid?
yes
@@CreekFishingAdventures ok good to know, you always hear you can’t fish straight braid
Just curious, why not baitcaster?
i wanted to be versatile and throw any lure if i needed to
@@CreekFishingAdventures makes sense, great content
🔥🔥🔥🔥🎣🎣🎣🎣
❤
Isn't it called "Creek fishing?".. some of these creeks appear to be rivers!?!?
😎👍💪
I waited forever thru all these commercials No one wants to share anything anymore unless they are getting cash
do you work for nothing, these videos take work to make
2.5 lb at best
Thank you, I’m sure you know more than me
🫘
throwing your tag ends away into nature is not cool...
It's too bad that you cannot afford to travel the 48 continental United States and fish "Creeks" all over the US of A.. come to Minnesota and fish the "Land of 10,000 Lakes.. I'll just bet that you can catch big fish in any creek in our state.. simply a suggestion.. and wishful thinking.. god luck and God speed buddy.. don't forget to "Like & Subscribe!".. I did!
