I'm impressed how good the Fiat is!
Wow, it did better than I expected. I love mine and I use it a lot off roading. Not to much people trust it but it never make me go back without arriving where I wanted. There are a lot of fiat 500x 4x4 in Andorra and it makes me feel comfortable in low grip conditions and also going uphill in places like pic negre. Thanks for the video.

@@4x4.tests.on.rollers Then there's a name for the system. Quadra-whatever or Freedom-whatever Trac? Jeep's names for those 4WD systems are sometimes very confusing. But I'm convinced no "Trail-rated" (ie. Trailhawk-grade) system is being put on the 500X...

That Fiat is like a mountain goat... Really impressive, even considering that it's a Renegade underneath. One would imagine that Jeep would keep the 500X as a more city CUV than actually implement a truly capable 4x4 in order to keep brand cannibalism to a minimum.

500X’s scheme worked really well. I’m surprised, but not too much: it handles really good in the snow… and the platform is Jeep.
The platform is fiat’s and the awd system is jeep’s.

I expected both of them to do worse actually. Specially the opel. Even though it didn't pass the last test it really is not bad at all for a small crossover released 10 years ago...

I own 500x and I can confirm the efficiency of the all-wheel drive system especially on snow and mud. Good road holding on asphalt thanks to the inclusion of rear-wheel drive always to save the situation or useful when you want to dare in curves. It's my first 4x4 car so I don't know the others

@@panoskoutsomichos3732 So probably you can't switch it off. Maybe only American 2.4 versions have it.
in the vid where its in traction mode and you've put esp off on fiat 500x, pretty sure that isn't the case as sure esp only turns off in sport mode as there isn't an actual button for it in the fiat
I think it was somewhere in digital menu, not a button. Or maybe there was a button, but it was definitely possible to turn it off. It's USA version.
@4x4.tests.on.rollers ah that might be a difference between the US and UK version as had 3 of them here over 5 years in the UK and never seen it in either of the menus to turn it off as the dial that controls the modes here is also what turns it on and off which is something I found pretty weird since all my other cars have had a separate button for it
@@Frarango Yeap, US version with 2.4 engine. Unfortunately I don't remember the details but I will ask the owner for a photo of button or menu.

While i'm impressed of how well 4x4 system of Fiat 500X works, way better than "wonder from Mioveni/Roamnia" aka - Duster, i simply don't understand why this car exists!!!
Fiat 500 by definition use to be a small, agile fun to drive car, and if is Abarth 500 or 500E (full electric) is even more fun to drive!!!
