My family was shocked to see how much I saved on a measly teacher salary because I love bags and shoes and expensive knitwear …but this girl is too lazy to buy coffee, takeout, getting waxed, and getting my nails done. I like my sleep, I like eating less, I prefer the privacy of me and my wax pot, and I prefer clean polished nails without breathing in finger nail fumes and having someone cut into my cuticles 🤭😅 saves me $$$$

The Fashion Industrial Complex is dead. The houses that sold out to them are over, too. It lacks creativity, quality, opulence, panache. Their crap is not selling. Real fashion, real style always came from the grass roots and rose to the echelons of society and not the other way around, as much as they want you to believe it. You, the individual: Make your own style. Create your own fashion. That's where it's always been and where it will always be. Everything else is nonsense.
This is so me LOL Im older (50 ish) and can afford to buy pretty well whatever I want but I'll go to the dollar store to buy toothpaste when I have no problem buying a $10 k bag. It's all about balance. Ha! Splurge & save. I will also stuff candy into my Gucci tote for the movies.....
You’re my twin although I would not buy toothpaste from the dollar store since some of these merchandise are from 3rd world countries with questionable ingredients BUT you might find coupons, candies even sodas in my Chanel tote in the movies ! Lol. Hubby gave up questioning me .
I watched a segment on dollar store products and I think you'd save more money buying from a store like Costco. The products may be cheaper at dollar stores, but per oz, they actually cost more than their regular counterparts! 👍
Loud budgeting is ultimate old money. Don't spend money unless you really have to and then spend as little as possible for the maximum gain. Like the aristocracy did. Because where should your money be? That is right, in you bank making you more money
Dacob, your insightful discussion on "Loud Budgeting" is a refreshing take on smart spending and enjoying life's luxuries within one's means. I appreciate how you've highlighted that being financially savvy isn't just about saving money, but also about finding joy in the process and feeling a sense of accomplishment. Your personal anecdotes add a relatable touch to the concept, and it's great to see how this approach is universal, transcending income levels. It's empowering to hear how we can all embrace this smart and fun way of living. Keep bringing these enlightening topics to the forefront!
Hello, Super Dacob. Just wanted to say thank you for your work. As a fashion novice on a budget, I absolutely love your sense of humor and really appreciate the chance to learn from you. Best wishes
Funny story about loud budgeting (?)- I bought a $100k+ car but choose to drive the 120K+ miles car instead. I've got the expensive one, without blinking. But now I don't care what people see me drive because I know I got it back home.
I thought the same. I'm pretty certain they only have limited stock depending on the amount of donations they receive so taking away from a family who actually needs it is very heartbreaking.
@@pa5666 Yes it is cruel in fact. I can't believe anyone would be actually proud of taking advantage of others' misfortunes like that. Sell a luxury bag FGS but don't take food from those who desperately need it! Saving money is not the right motivation. IMO
