I took my vintage 1986 GUCCI to get a new lining and replace a piece of leather. It can back in about 5 weeks, package just like a new bag with a box and dust cover. They gave a new life to my first GUCCI almost 40 years old (-
@@lakamatte4975 yes I did take it to a boutique. The boutique shipped my bag to Italy where they did the repairs. I got an email when it arrived there & when it shipped back to the boutique. It looks brand new!!
@@Indiana_Girl757 thank you for your responce,I need to replace my lining in the gucci bag.Can you pease kindly tell me how much they charge for the lining replacement? Thank you.
I had a similar experience. I bought a pre-loved and certified authentic Chanel bag at a trusted local shop. It was an very unusual bag, red exotic leather and an incredible jewelry type strap. I went to Chanel to ask about how to appropriately care for the leather. They gave me a dust bag, a box, and a clensing cloth with instructions at no cost.
I fell in LOVE with Meadham Kirchhoff spring 2012 collection, I remember little me working over time just to buy the beautiful shoes that were just samples from the runway show and sadly when I saved up enough for them they sold out and I looked for them for 13 years! and they finally popped up in my size last week! and I remember the store took them down right away and i messaged them and asked them why, they said because a celebrity client wanted them for a fitting! I told the sales person my story and they said if I bought them now they would tell this celebrity that they have been sold all ready and yes I got my dream shoes
Chanel obviously takes great pride in their heritage pieces, they were probably amazed when you pulled it out of the bag. They repaired it at no charge out of respect for you and your caretaker role for that piece. Hopefully it'll end up in a museum one day. The bags are a dime a dozen and as you said any moron with money could own one
I choose not to buy preloved products because I enjoy the experience of going to the boutique and selecting exactly what I desire. This way, I can avoid any uncertainties about the authenticity of the items. I diligently keep receipts, even from years ago, as it adds a layer of assurance, whether I decide to sell my bags or gift them to someone.
I really* appreciate your call to educate ourselves on the different houses. I think that way also helps us to slow down and really think about what we want because we have taken the time to understand the history and what we like within a brand.
Love the bow story, Dacob! I appreciate your content so much. I rarely comment (should improve on that 😅) and now just want to say thanks for all the insights, tips and thoughtful opinions you give us ❤
Yeah I did a spa treatment on a wallet and they gave it back to me in a pain black cheap bag and charged me $400 for a button repair 😅😂 they do not care much about the wallets and purses 👛😂😅 the bow is so pretty too. pretty French blue 🎀💙
The bow is so beautiful, i love it so much. And to those attacking you, they have not watched your videos for a long time. I love the 1990s Chanel jackets, they're gorgeous.
Dacob this is why I love your channel so much. I love Chanel also but not the bags, not the shoes but the clothes! The fashion, the cuts, fabrics, the silhouettes. A started buying Chanel clothes a couple of years ago and slowly building my dream closet. I feel so amazing wearing the clothes. The pre-loves market has some gems of Karl's magical collections but I'm very careful and investigate before I buy. Love watching the runways and love buying clothes in my boutique. Your bow is absolutely stunning!
I think Iris Van Herpen is very talented and seems to be able to understand and explore futuristic fashion. She is not afraid using new materials, new combinations and push the barriers of fashion. I think she might get more known and appreciated as the AI tech revolution goes on.
Fashion + Style. It's a cliche to say I know, but anyone can buy fashion.....style however.... Dacob the bow is very cute and its a great story.. As a young milliner to work for Chanel was always my dream, because to me, Chanel has always stood for style in its highest form, the fantasy, the skill, the presentation.
some of the counterfiet bags are made better than the real ones 😂. i wouldnt buy any bags going forward without a chip. the id numbers on chanel are too easy to fake
I do not agree with the "pre loved" term, its full blast second hand, mainly because they don't sell me the feelings they had for the item, no one cares if the bag was loved or not , was cherished or not, was appreciated or not... We care about how it was kept, handled and how it looks after years of wear... Pre used sounds more realistic, pre owned, pre worn, pre whatever , but pre loved sounds a bit retarded to me 😂😂
Got a vintage K32 Box & had it spa at H. Came back in amazing condition. Vintage is the key. 🖤🍊 of course be careful when shopping. I was at the store for hrs examining the bag & asking questions, no shame cuz it’s my coins I’m dropping. 😅 thanks for sharing always my love. 🙏🏼❤️😘😘😘Sandy
My budget just can't handle bags that are over $4k, period. I will be staying within the $2,500-$3,500 range for the foreseeable future. I do look around to see if I can buy things pre-owned safely when possible.
Oh my goodness!! This touched me so much. That the brand put in so much for a vintage piece.... That they fixed up and freshened up in every way your bow.....It really warms the heartstrings. It gives me hope for mankind let alone luxury. It truly gives me hope for mankind
I wish someone would get the best of the best of these bags and actually compare them to show ppl what to look for when buying preloved ,but they don’t .. they get the cheap obvious ones … so far I’ve all the reps I’ve seen are 🗑️

Just want to say I really adore your “set”! Very clever and beautiful design. Sorry for the off topic comment but I had to share my appreciation!

I admire U understand and treasure all vintage luxury brands and U observe their stitching fabric making.

This resonates with me. YES❤. Learn the brand. Learn the brand’s ascetics. Look for the unusual because who wants to look like everyone anyway.

Awesome video Dacob! Love the bow and I agree with everything you said! Great definition of true luxury!
Thank you very much Linda 🙏🏻🥰♥️
Dear Dacob I am so curious about a video which shows how you store your collection at home

Agree with you. These days, designs are repetitive and not exciting anymore.

To me it sounds made up, like sellers trying to make it sound fancier than it is.
It’s just to sound more luxury than “used”
I love this piece from chanel ! This story is awesome!!!!!🥰I have been looking at vintage vintage chanel bags something different🙂

‘Versailles’ is pronounced « vair-SIGH » (even in English)😊❤
Amazing vid, as usual 😘
I love your beautiful bow!!!❤
Btw Dacob, what are your thoughts on The New Look TV series that has just come out? So far I'm enjoying it ❤ xx
Love the read
BRAVO!! 🙌

Ithink no one will be able to guarantee authenticity …l which jeopardizes ebay and others
What websites are trusted to buy preloved
I personally trust NONE!
