For LV, I love the Alma BB in Epi leather. A purse that can hold a large phone, sunglasses, and reading glasses has become a necessity. I also like Eau Savage, the fragrance from the 60s, in the summer. It’s a citrusy men’s fragrance, but it smells very fresh and clean on me when it’s hot outside.
Speaking of hiding bags (since that became a thing), I am an LV girl and I hide my Speedy 30s inside my Longchamp Le Pliage Large totes. Fits like glove, and when I am done "hiding", I fold the Longchamp and put it inside the Speedy. Not something I do on the regular, but we moved recently, and I did not need the whole neighborhood know I am moving in with a bunch of luxury bags. Also works for travel. Be safe, friends 😁

I would say: get a pair of silver earrings from Tiffany & Co’s hardware collection, a pre-loved Cartier watch from Chrono24 (like a Santos or a steel Tank, just get a new bracelet) and, if it’s your style, an Hermes scarf - and whatever you put on will look luxe.
If I had to choose something from LV, I would take the plain monogram cardholder, it will last 20+ years. Chanel? The gardenia perfume.
Since I love LV,I'm done apologising for my monogram. The PA is just a classic. I couldn't get a hold of one for a long time. I end up getting the multi Pochette and I use the largest Pochette often. Just a lil dose of monogram is just perfect.

I really enjoy your takes on everything and they are very helpful while always providing comedic moments as well! ✨✨ I am so glad that I would jot prices down on a document each time I find a bag I wanted in my collection. I go to check on them periodically and see the price skyrocketed 5000%, not even realizing it until I refer back to my document. That just makes me lose complete interest in the item. Although I can afford it now, it just seems very scummy of them to do that. It is SO hard to justify coughing up the money knowing that we're being taken advantage of (the main factor being that quality control isn't there anymore). Hope you have a great day! ❤

For me it’s about Alma in LV. You need to embrace the shape and imo it’s the classiest one.

Enjoying this perspective on luxury. As you said, not everyone wants head to toe ‘brand’ but just enough to show we know how to put a look together. This borders on the quiet luxury trend, but for me, any LV piece in epi leather can complete an outfit perfectly. Don’t get me wrong, I love my monogram too but sometimes all it takes is an epi bag or accessory to work!
There are some wonderful epi colors out there too.
A nice Dior piece for me are the faux pearl double earrings, the ones where there’s a smaller pearl in the front and a bigger one at the beach of an earlobe!

I agree with you, Dacob. An authentic Chanel bag has become cliché. It's for people who don't have a developed sense of taste but have money... or rather, credit. I find Sauvage smells like several other men's fragrances but 1966 Eau Sauvage smells like no other perfume today. As you say, "when you know, you know". Excellent video.

I got that LV for my daughter in the 6th grade when she graduated high school she cried when I wanted to get her a speedy...lol
The real trick with louis is vintage with age, because fakes age badly so get a nice ages not trashed bag, in monogram, a bag that has wear and tear shows you love it, a bag that is bright and shiny people are like that's fake. It's why the treated vachetta has color not bright new shiny vachetta.

Ok, so jumping into the video, yes yes yes I agree especially with the criticism and scrutiny of these fashion objects we love because of the ever increasing prices. Dacob, I've been studying my collection and trying to remember all the fashion that has come and gone, I'm not rich so my fashion is based almost solely on bags. I've learned over time how to home in on exactly what I want out of a bag. I literally can wear a tshirt from walmart and add a louis vuitton speedy bag and boom, i'm high dollar! Great video. Great suggestions. I agree with your comments regarding Hermes. I personally do not like there bags or belts. I have a pair of sandals. But I love their silk scarves and I plan to pick up a jewelry piece such as yours looks simple and chic. I always loved LV I wanted to buy the neverfull many years ago but my friend convinced me to go with Gucci. Now I see the neverfull everywhere I turn. I think the little pourchett would be a great option for me especially to have on vacation will look good day or night.

Quick Question. I wonder if anyone saw this coming? Do you think they increase the prices to fund the new warranty process and it’s faulty/defects? It’s interested because the other day I went and viewed all of your old videos. I was picking the 2.55, Gabrielle or another classic. You literally had every Reissue… fast forward. Do you still feel the same about the brands, the information/suggestions you provided and if you could have one everyday bag (what will it be)?
I still have all my 2.55 reissue iterations in my collection and would not change a thing about how I went about deciding to buy them back then. I would do it all over again if I went back in time. If I had none of these bags today and decided to start my collection today for the first time and given the crazy high prices of these bags today, I would go about it very differently. Amazing! As for LV I use the same way Eva clutch😅 I hide her in bigger bag and use for evening or other events 😊

So funny 😂i brought the LV pochette and key pouch in eclipse. I literally wear it under my arm kinda hiding it lol. I had to get the Tyler the creator wallet though. Great video Dacob. Not gonna lie, this influenced me a bit to want to sell the bulk of my collection. 😭 In fact I’ve been wearing my LV pochette for this very reason. I wonder if I should hang on to my pricey Chanel pieces in hopes that things will turn around one day. Im so torn.

I find my LV Damier Graphite luggage (Keepall and Zephyr) gets nods when I travel from those that know. Thankfully I got them 10 years ago when they were far more reasonably priced with the quality they were known for.

I have a vintage Enghien louis vuitton 2 way bag, I just sent it off for a spa, I will have 500 dollars all into this bag, and it's still looks fantastic, if the hardware is not as bright who can tell, it's a fantastic epi leather bag, also I have see so much d h gate and temu hauls, the dollar store hauls, people with over 100k subs just on thrifting, so luxury is super niche, I am contemporary USA brands at my core. My nice French brands are guests.

Thank you !🙏🏻💖 Next step on the budget ladder would be the classic slingbacks, then if the budget permits, next would be a classic black chanel tweed jacket with no frills. And after that the most expensive would be the 2.55 reissue double flap bag in black distressed calfskin in the classic or large sizes. 💖 the price of the jacket is close to the price of the bag… depends which season it is and how complex the tweed and buttons are.

I have a small, tiny collection of luxury pieces from different houses. I purchased them because I love them, it is not a “flex” because where I currently live the vast majority no nothing of and could care less about fashion, never mind luxury fashion. I love that it is my little secret, my little indulgence. I also love the anonymity of it all…. Someone loved my LV bag, and asked if it were Liz Claiborne, aghast that I could spend the ridiculous price for one…… I replied, “Oh no!, no it is not….” She seemed relieved, and I just giggled to myself.

Great point. No need to impress them. My point was only valid in case you wish to have it slightly easier with connecting with a sales associate and ultimately getting easier access maybe to the pieces that are usually not so easy to find in the shops. This is particularly good for Hermes where the SAs are usually always bombarded with questions about the birkin and kelly and it is a breath of fresh air to actually see a customer also love and wear hermes products that are not requested by everybody. 😊

I never liked Louis Vuitton even when I was very young and I never owned any Louis Vuitton item. I believe that the brand's items are very tacky. Even the items which are not monogrammed.
