Ric passed away less than five weeks after this video was posted. I find the footage that Mr Drasin uploaded to YT very informative and entertaining. Sad that he didn't get the chance to have everyone from the Golden Era on his show that he wanted. I hope his YT channel will stay online to remember him, and thanks to Ric's advice and knowledge help young people with their training and nutrition.
There's a lot of quality and no bs information that Ric was able to share because of YT. Thanks for all work and energy you put into it, may you rest in peace Ric.

old school will live forever and will never be forgotten. Someone at a GNC just told me today that Ric had passed away. I have watched so many of his videos. It always seemed like he was just telling the truth when he talked about old times and old stories about the golden days of bodybuilding. I'm gonna miss this guy too...

The golden era that Ric came from was really a magical era in bodybuilding. Thank you Ric for starting this channel and your legacy will always live forever.

It seemed to be a magical era for everything! Movies, television and especially music! People people landing on the moon. Starting to make peace with Russia (although now we are the ones blowing that)

Thank you Ric, memories of the way things were makes us really appreciate our history, where we came from and how to get back to basics. We lost an Icon, but I am so glad we had your blessed presence.

It's good to see body builders take time off for a weekly Sunday 🧺 picnic down by the sun and surf.

Awesome Rick ! Would love to to talk more about the equipment you guys used and specifically the machines Joe Gold made himself. All the pics on the internet showing the Legends training at Golds, but what did the interior look like. Some people get confused with the pics from when the original Golds Gym moved location in around 1973. Love ya work 👍

Miss him too but in a way I'm glad he didn't have to see how the country ended up. He would be horrified to see his beautiful Venice Beach a tent city with people shiting on the sidewalk I was there just last year and saw it myself.
