    Why didn’t the the Mayor, police chief and prosecutor not deal with this corrupt cop before this happened.

    • @kendalbridges897
      @kendalbridges897 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So what is it that he did before this happened that you would consider corruption? Because, if you can't prove that there was a justified reason to arrest this cop before this happened, that would be the answer. Or do you think maybe we should arrest you before you commit your crime. by the way yes that cop should go to prison yes the arsonist that are burning buildings down should go to prison just like the thieves and vandals should be prosecuted as well

      Change them to what? The murder of George Floyd was already against the law. Racial Discrimination is already against the law.
      Standing by while another officer applies unnecessary force (no matter how senior that officer may be) is already against the law.
      THE LAW IS ON YOUR SIDE. AND ON THE SIDE OF JUSTICE.
      The law is fine.
      What we need to change is PEOPLE.
      And that's much harder.

That 4:would booked and charged with first degree murder. Like they would do if they weren't cops. There be no riots. There were all peaceful. The cops sent undercover in to start this war. The message to take away from this for me, as a disabled senior living in South Minneapolis not too far from St Paul's Lutheran Church is...I can no longer trust my neighbors. My grocery store was looted, TARGET is gone, the Post Office is not delivering mail (which means Social Security Checks and Prescription and so on) and all because my neighbors decided that the best way to remember George Floyd was to turn into barbarians and burn down the town.
    "Why was that cop only charged with THIRD Degree Murder and Manslaughter?" they cry. "Why not FIRST Degree Murder Charges for him and the other three?"
    Because if they charged them with that the case would be thrown out at once.
    This is the Minnesota Law of First Degree Murder:
    609.185 MURDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE.
    (a) Whoever does any of the following is guilty of murder in the first degree and shall be sentenced to imprisonment for life:
    (1) causes the death of a human being with premeditation and with intent to effect the death of the person or of another;
    (2) causes the death of a human being while committing or attempting to commit criminal sexual conduct in the first or second degree with force or violence, either upon or affecting the person or another;
    (3) causes the death of a human being with intent to effect the death of the person or another, while committing or attempting to commit burglary, aggravated robbery, kidnapping, arson in the first or second degree, a drive-by shooting, tampering with a witness in the first degree, escape from custody, or any felony violation of chapter 152 involving the unlawful sale of a controlled substance;
    (4) causes the death of a peace officer, prosecuting attorney, judge, or a guard employed at a Minnesota state or local correctional facility, with intent to effect the death of that person or another, while the person is engaged in the performance of official duties;
    (5) causes the death of a minor while committing child abuse, when the perpetrator has engaged in a past pattern of child abuse upon a child and the death occurs under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to human life;
    (6) causes the death of a human being while committing domestic abuse, when the perpetrator has engaged in a past pattern of domestic abuse upon the victim or upon another family or household member and the death occurs under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to human life; or
    (7) causes the death of a human being while committing, conspiring to commit, or attempting to commit a felony crime to further terrorism and the death occurs under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to human life
    www.revisor.mn.gov/laws/?id=244&year=1995&type=0
    This is Third Degree Murder:
    609.195 MURDER IN THE THIRD DEGREE.
    (a) Whoever, without intent to effect the death of any person, causes the death of another by perpetrating an act eminently dangerous to others and evincing a depraved mind, without regard for human life, is guilty of murder in the third degree and may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than 25 years.
    (b) Whoever, without intent to cause death, proximately causes the death of a human being by, directly or indirectly, unlawfully selling, giving away, bartering, delivering, exchanging, distributing, or administering a controlled substance classified in Schedule I or II, is guilty of murder in the third degree and may be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than 25 years or to payment of a fine of not more than $40,000, or both.
    www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/609.195
    They can get a conviction for Third Degree Murder.
    Someone is giving the Floyd Family some Bad LEGAL ADVICE.
    And my neighbors who have left me without food and the medicine I need to live are violating the law for no reason.
    As for the other three in order to be charged they have to be prosecuted as Accomplices:
    2019 Minnesota Statutes
    609.05 LIABILITY FOR CRIMES OF ANOTHER.
    Subdivision 1.Aiding, abetting; liability. A person is criminally liable for a crime committed by another if the person intentionally aids, advises, hires, counsels, or conspires with or otherwise procures the other to commit the crime.
    Subd. 2.Expansive liability. A person liable under subdivision 1 is also liable for any other crime committed in pursuance of the intended crime if reasonably foreseeable by the person as a probable consequence of committing or attempting to commit the crime intended.
    Subd. 3.Abandonment of criminal purpose. A person who intentionally aids, advises, hires, counsels, or conspires with or otherwise procures another to commit a crime and thereafter abandons that purpose and makes a reasonable effort to prevent the commission of the crime prior to its commission is not liable if the crime is thereafter committed.
    Subd. 4.Circumstances of conviction. A person liable under this section may be charged with and convicted of the crime although the person who directly committed it has not been convicted, or has been convicted of some other degree of the crime or of some other crime based on the same act, or if the person is a juvenile who has not been found delinquent for the act.
    §Subd. 5.Definition. For purposes of this section, a crime also includes an act committed by a juvenile that would be a crime if committed by an adult.

      👽 @Cassandra Morrison If instead of a cop, it had been a PRIVATE CITIZEN shoving his knee on the back of the man's neck until he suffocated to death, do you think the Hennepin County Attorney's Office would only indict on third degree or manslaughter?
      If it had been a PRIVATE CITIZEN doing what we saw that cop doing on video, do you think it would have taken DAYS for him to be arrested, and taken into the Hennepin County Detention Center?
      See this is precisely what the public outrage is over, the double standards that are at play. I can assure you had we seen a PRIVATE CITIZEN, ON VIDEO doing what we saw that cop do, that private citizen WOULD HAVE BEEN ARRESTED ON THE SPOT, and taken into the Hennepin County Detention Center, he might have been able to bond out the next day, but at least that action would have been taken.
      Here's something else to think about, this former cop right up until the day they finally arrested him, had the benefit of having AN ARMY OF POLICE GUARDING HIS RESIDENCE......... Does a Private Citizen ever get that kind of benefit?
      See the police in this country are a serious privileged class, we can deny it all we want, but that does not change reality, there are very serious double standards in terms how cops are treated when they break the law, versus how private citizens are treated when breaking the law, VERY SERIOUS DOUBLE STANDARDS.
      And the question that demands addressing, is such privilege FOR A LOW SKILLED JOB, JUSTIFIED? Anybody who works ANY OTHER TYPE OF LOW SKILLED JOB, IS TREATED AS EXPENDABLE by society at large.

Just like right now by trying to say it was better than it was last night when it's not it's the exact same You have the huge amount of military force running people over with cars shooting them from their homes and you're trying to say it's better have you even been watching posts that people have been putting up on the internet or have been watching other news stations or do you just come up with facts without actually being there and say this is what's going on
