How is airbnb operating without a license or insurance?

The first time i used airbnb last summer in Kissimmee Florida, i paid over 2k for one month. The host didn’t allow the customer to use the kitchen. But was allowed to use the gym and pool on property. It was like a gated community with townhouses in it, a community pool, gym, and conference area. I was going to use the gym, but the key the host provided was acting up. A property manager saw me and offered assistance. She asked me what unit i live in, i said i’m just airbnb the unit over there. From there, I didnt know I wasn’t suppose to tell anyone i was airbnbing. The host gets mad at me and from there I realized he’s not supposed to be doing airbnb because he had a rental unit.
The government should shut down Airbnb
How come they aren’t showing the identity of the owners? 🤔

Cameras are everywhere. People should expect cameras in homes🤷

I have never stayed in an Airbnb and have no intentions of ever staying in one. I have always had bad vibes about this company as I know there is no way they would use time, money, or resources to vett each and every AirBnB for the safety of its guests. They are making money hand over fist with none of the accountability or legal recourse for what happens to guests. You are at the mercy of a complete and total stranger who could be a sexual predator or could have a criminal record, and AirBnB will not only deliberately hide serious incidents to protect themselves publicly, but simply can’t be bothered by washing their hands and telling guests that they are not responsible for the actions of their hosts.
This company needs to be shut down!😡

If you use an Airbnb you known you have no privacy...It is the first paragraph of the agreement...you got to be mentally compromise to rent a Airbnb....for many year it's been widely known all room in Airbnb can and will be recorded
I guess this is a problem because the very people that is complaining has made it a problem when they agreed to rent the place even after they were warned that Airbnb is not responsible for the actions of any of their hosts!!! That's the problem. Airbnb wouldn't make a dime if nobody signed that silly contract because I know i would never sign something like that. It sound like almost all their places have hidden cameras.
Go. To. Legit. Hotels.
Lucky she was a thief. Otherwise she wouldn't have found the hidden camera. Let's face it, nobody accidentally takes someone else's charger. They just say that when they're caught out.
