- The president of the Minneapolis police union, Lt. Bob Kroll, sat down with WCCO’s Jason DeRusha Tuesday and discussed a range of issues following the death of George Floyd in police custody ().

Jason DeRusha should go through training and go on a ride-a-long for 2 weeks to fully understand what any police officer has to deal with everyday. I guarantee he’ll be singing a different song. Just like that woke city council woman that got carjacked in front of her house that her 5 year old daughter had to witness. Imagine the trauma that child experienced.
Go watch The Fall Of Minneapolis to get the full context of what the Federation was dealing with. Obviously their relationship with the city is adversarial. IMO, based on that relationship they handled it appropriately. Minneapolis leadership wanted to leverage the George Floyd incident to weaken the Union by putting the blame on them. They were smart not to take the bait.
But they were weakened anyway and the department has been decimated. The union may as well have stood up for the cops, the truth, and due process. That would not have required taking blame for any illegal behavior by officers had any occurred.
All I'm seeing in this interview is a lot of finger pointing and a complete lack of accountability. He didn't say he never did the things that the complaints said he did, he said he was never punished.
In other words, why punish a man that has not been found guilty of wrongdoing.
"It should have never happened" But lets run the ole throw dirt on his name and criminalize him number" signed the Bob kroll "the good guy"

What is edited out at the 18:44 mark and why? It removes what question was asked of Kroll.
Did Bob Kroll's wife, Liz Collins, an employee of WCCO, assist in setting up this interview? I haven't seen him or anyone else from the Union interview anywhere else. While the reporter conducting the interview may not be associated with any of the interviewees, this still seems like a huge conflict of interest. I'd like WCCO to actually answer this question.

@@juliefrommes4119 Alpha News is one of the least trustable media sources in MN and I'm not just saying that because they lean so far right they've fallen off the spectrum. They publish stories with seriously questionable sources (sources that can't be traced down past the published story) full of conspiracy theories. This current union needs to be defunded. They need to be dismantled. No negotiations dismantle this police union needs a reset. Arrogance. The current union is the problem. Get rid of them. Officer Walker you said that the Minneapolis police department and the system is not racist but it took 152 years for you as a black to get on the board, what’s up with that. I believe it would be a good idea for the old generation to retire or resign and let the next generation have those seats.
The black guys says the union is not racist, “I’m the first black person hired in 100 and some years.” That’s like saying, I’m not alcoholic, I’ve been drinking every day for last 20

That's right . Never once had a problem . Did the same thing in the Austin and Chatham neighborhoods in Chicago . Also never had a problem . My family lives in Baltimore .
