Yes! I get so tired of the paper pulling up when I use my stamping platforms! It just pulls out from underneath the magnets. And of course, when it pulls up then it’s impossible to get it back in the same position if I need to re stamp.
I also invested in this larger sticky mat…gamechanger for blending, stencils as well! Jennifer McG & Simon Hurley uses it regularly too! Great informational video precious sister!👍🏻
I've been using a waffle flower sticky mat for stenciling. Love it. Then a couple weeks ago I ordered the altenew 9x12 ultra sticky mat to put in my sizzix stamp and stencil platform. LOVE IT. You are the first person I've seen do what I am doing! It's a great size, convenient and so EASY. Your grids look interesting. I will have to investigate them
@@samanthac5761 I hadn’t heard of the Waffle Flower, I gotta check that out! I was just fed up with the glue from the sticky sheets all over my craft room, I knew there had to be a better way! 🤗
@@melittasmakin waffleflower makes the mats in many sizes, I have the one that fits the misti but I don't use it that way. Was considering getting another for my stampin up stamparatus (discontinued platform) but decided to go BIG with the 9x12 like you did.
This is so amazing! I have one of those big mats but not a bit tool to use it in. I'm going to see if it will work with what I've got. Thank you so much for sharing!
I stuck mine to a glass cutting mat I already had - it stays on there so I don’t need to peel on and off; it’s now portable; and, I as I said in another comment, I cover the top with a Dollar Tree cutting mat so it stays clean and dust free between uses. Good luck!
Does it stay sticky though? Because a bought a silicone "sticky" mat that didn't hold its stick after using is 3 x even after I cleaned it how they said to it didn't come back
@@laurasutton1551 it stays stuck! It’s been on my Stencil & Stamp tool for 6 months now & while it might lift a little on the corner when I pull up the plastic, it hasn’t left the tool surface even once! And the waffle pattern is against the tool surface so that tells you how strong the grip is! Trust me, you won’t be sorry! By the way, I misspoke in the video when I said silicone, it’s actually photopolymer, the same material clear stamps are made from.
@@susanlefevre632I haven’t seen the WeR mat so I couldn’t compare but the Altenew Mat is approximately 1/8” thick. I have no issues using my stamp platform with it. If you wanted to use foam backed stamps you would need to purchase the Sizzix extension for this platform.

Hi @bjack! This mat is not ‘gel’ like a gel plate, it is made from the same photopolymer that acrylic stamps are made from & acrylic stamps can remain on their plastic sheets indefinitely, without harm. This plastic sheet is actually what came attached to the stamp grid when I purchased it from Altenew. I haven’t had any issues for the last 6 months but I will keep my eye out for signs of trouble 😊

I use a Dollar Tree cutting mat to cover up my sticky mats when not in use - it is easy on and off and 2 come in a pack!
That is such a great idea! 😊
Thanks for the video
You're so welcome 😉
Thank you, this is just perfect. I was wondering if the sticky grid would work in sizzix stamp platform.
I am so glad you found it helpful, I am still using mine daily after 6 months without any issues! This was the solve we needed! 🤗

I bought the Memory Keepers sticky mat but not thrilled with the stamping. Is the Altenew a little thinner?

You mentioned your free transparency file. Where do I get this?

A lint roler will remove the residual glue.
I will have to try that because I have so many cards/inserts with glue residue 😢
@@melittasmakin Roller. Sigh. If it doesn't work all the way, use a crumbless eraser first, then the lint roller.
Just an FYI. You mentioned that it's silicone. Pretty sure it's photopolymer. Thanks for sharing! 😊
@@mrsmcphateyou’re absolutely right, I didn’t even catch that I misspoke the wrong word! Great catch! Thank you! 🙏
Un consiglio, non mettere il foglio di plastica che può lasciare il segno delle bolle usa un foglio di carta liscio. Vale per tutte le piastre gel.
