A’s should build a ballpark in the newly vacant golden gate fields lot
Awesome idea
@@kpeters964 it makes too much sense so it won’t happen
@@RisitasKEKW Brilliant idea! It's over 100 acres according to the Wikipedia page. Unfortunately, A's ownership is too dumb
"Stuck in Sacramento" will be a good slogan for the team.
The ballpark and the new resort won’t fit on the same 35-acre site.
@@ddgRoblox you believe the highly respected architect is wrong? On what grounds?
@@togoandmoss The renderings were purely conceptual, and anyone with eyes could see they were not to scale based on the actual site.
@@itisnotmeMARCO the second set of renderings are to scale, the Athletics are waiting for the GLPI / Ballys part of the project design.
Vegas needs an expansion team like the Knights. It's better for the community to have a common interest.
lets just hope
thanks for info Alex...
Sell the team to Reggie! He should have been the owner anyways.
Reggie Jackson?
He has nowhere near the money needed.
@@stevekassel3301Not by himself. His ownership group which is comprised of other wealthy investors is. His group had the highest bid before Selig Let Wolff and Fisher buy at a lower bid. Look it up.
Fishstix has been screwing around with this for over a year. He can’t afford a stadium anywhere.
Oh wow... I'm so shocked... 🙄
Unfortunately John Fisher will get his way and move the A's to Vegas for sure!!! YUCK!!!
I have said for a full year that the actual number is $2.2B.
A billion here, a billion there, pretty soon you're talkin' real money!!!
Surprise, surprise
Build a stadium? In this economy?
word
Gap boy should sell the team! Don’t get fooled Las Vegas!
Vegas local here…Tropicana location is a horrible place for a ballpark. Also the designs look like crap. If you want to put it on the strip why not do something like Toronto has where you can watch the game from your hotel room? I’ve been thinking this is a bad from the start. 380 million is all they got from the stadium deal. They won’t get anymore from us I can tell you that!
We know all (most) building projects will go over budget, but this has the potential to really sail over what was expected, making the $380M public money value almost irrelevant. BTW, how does an entire state only come up with $380m anyway? One single poor city in California on its own came up with almost $500m! Albeit, 500 more then they ever should have
Get ready for the Sacramento A's 🤮
That would be GREAT... Still keep them in Northern California
@@robandcindy I love the location but god damn it does not roll off the tongue nice. But living in modesto i'd take that commute over the bay area all day.
They should just stay in sac
they should play at cashman field o;d aaa ballpark in downtown capacity 2300 thats about right As have no fan support
they would be selling out every game with 3500 seats
@@kenhubbell3445 in Oakland they have no support…. Nether do the Ballers …. Damn that John Fisher!!
If Ballys was smart and they aren’t that space would be used for the new Las Vegas NBA franchise coming and screw the A’s because nobody wants them anyway let them stay in Sacramento or go to Utah
just something for you to talk about ! No substance to this. They will be in Vegas !
haha we shall see by December!
Asking $2B for a franchise that the buyer then needs to finance a stadium and no (current) clear home market is nuts. I'm sure investors are walking away. How much equity does one get for $500M? 12.5%? Any at all? Massive overvaluation of the franchise.
@@bsputnik no one values them at $4B. NO ONE.
@@stevekassel3301 It seems Fisher does 🤷♂️
Alex let me know what you think the A's really need to consider coming back to Oakland and build at 12th and Broadway and buy two square blocks to clear cut and build there. The whole Vegas thing is going no where.
The whole Vegas thing is going nowhere!!! I sure hope you're right!!!
@@wongleebruce they have barely touched the Tropicana casino!! And only 2 of the 4 agreements required to start construction are done … the project is way ahead of schedule…. What can you point to that says otherwise…. Vitamin Dee? 😂😂😂
ahhh I don't really see a scenario where MLB comes back to Oakland. Maaaaaybeee if Fisher somehow has to sell and Lacob or another Bay Area billionaire brings em back, but I don't see that happening unfortunately. I think we still have a few months to see if Fisher can pull it off, but I doubt it too
Quotes and opinions from people that don’t know anything and hide their real name are as valuable as Blockbuster gift cards!!
We shall see what happens
Haha, fisher sucks. Worst owner in the history of sports
Third
Greedy owners over paid players .......going to a game can cost a small fortune to maybe see your favorite players or players who take days off? If the A's move fine.......they come back to oakland fine ...if they drown in Sacramento fine.....I will watch the minor league teams who have a hunger for the game.....and it doesn't take a small fortune to enjoy what was once America's past time.
Don't blindly believe some of the rumors. VV has made some ridiculous comments about this. Vit Dee is a Bay Area person who claims attending an annual Las Vegas convention makes him an expert, privy to confidential plans of Las Vegas investors or prospective investors. There are people on the net who love spreading rumors. Believe what you want.
I’ve met Dee before and talked with him. I never said he’s an expert. Just tapped in w the scene and offering interesting info he’s hearing
Vegas cheerleading A's shills right now th-cam.com/video/RMwj_Dtib_8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=oPss335vyOlIqxiJ
One thing we know for 100% sure. The A's are never, ever, ever returning to Oakland. Instead of speculation, why don't you report that?
@@user-pw3ji3rn3s says the coward that won't post his name
@@stevekassel3301 But who will tell you the truth, unlike the people who post in this channel. The reason why the A's are gone is not only Fisher. Its government and the attitude of "fans".
@@user-pw3ji3rn3s gutless coward
That's old news buddy! I have openly acknowledged that MLB probably is never coming back to Oakland, especially since Sacramento news broke.
@@RickeyBlog So if you know the A's are not coming back, what's the point of your posts? Oh, there is none other than whining on the internet.
