Our SF Giants Fan Group refers to the present "City Connect" unis' color as "Creamsicle" like the ice cream bar flavor. Tangerine, while descriptive lacks the San Francisco Flair.
I imagine the Dodgers got 2.0s because as you said, they weren't wearing them often. By most accounts they were among the least liked in the 1.0 round of city connects. But I also think a major reason they got 2.0s were that they needed to sell more Ohtani jerseys.
For a few years, MLB did have those pillbox hats as an MLB All-Star game hats. The Orioles, Giants, Yankees, Cardinals, Mets, obviously the Pirates, Phillies, Cubs, Astros, Padres all had players wear those hats in those hats. Even the umpires had pillbox hats for that game!

Orange Pinstrips, and 3. Painted Ladies jerseys. If I had to pick one - For me - it's a tie between Scenic Drive and the Orange Pinstrips. LOVE both!!!
I like the 1980’s jersey. Brings me back to the Will Clark/Robbie Thompson/Kevin Mitchell days. Maybe an orange outline of the cityscape behind the logo that includes the Transamerica pyramid and sales force tower would look cool as a connection to the city…?
I want a new Giants City Connect, especially given the Dodgers got one. But, I will die on the hill that the whole point of the City Connect jersey is to have a home team jersey with the name of the city on it, as opposed to the name of the team. The Seagull one is my favorite!
I have no doubt that every team is getting a 2.0. If that weren't the case this wouldn't be the last season that DC is using the cherry blossom jerseys, which is a travesty since it's one of the best city connects in use (and I'm saying this as someone who doesn't like the nats).
