6:46: The Kar98K shown here does actually eject spent rounds, this inaccuracy seems to only applied to certain other bolt action rifles in the game.
45:55 The Mosin Nagant in game appears to be actually be modelled on the M38 Carbine version which were primarily given to guncrews and non frontline combatants, it should be the standard issue M91/30 Mosin Nagant that we originally mistook it for instead.

A huge problem with FPS games that have muzzle flashes such as the one in game the mg42 and many more is an eye ache for people who are going to be getting seizures or not. Before you play a game and to developers please make sure that you do not give anyone a sezuire. Epilepsy is a rare disease and it is hard to see it just like autism.
If you get sezuires for playing a video game then don't play a video game. Do something else.
Sezuire/ Epilepsy Warnings are a big deal pay attention to a lot of these types of warnings. Your health is number 1 and family plus finance.
There was no PVT. Lawrence he was a commander/ a high ranking officer in the British Military that the movie portrayed it well on the side the art of war not T.E Lawrence. The movie is pure fiction but they show a great picture of unconventional warfare and everything else is fictional.
Time to learn everything about World War 2 again.

This game represents "Less is More" to me. I love it more than the ones with ultrarealistic details, over the top skins, microtransactions and broken promises.
Also represents the times, as all of what you said weren't even a thing yet. I at least want to return to the time of finished, working products that need at most a few patches through it's life. I just remembered Tropico, which worked at launch, but it had/has a patch you can install with some fixes and adjustments as well as extra content.

Speaking of Medal of Honor, it would be nice for you to one day cover Airborne and Pacific Assault. It’s more fun knowing Pacific Assault likely got the Makin Atoll Raid more accurate than the one in World at War.
Pacific and Allied assault NEED console ports.

They'd have trouble finding many things wrong with Pacific Assault, it's the most accurate game of either Medal Of Honor Or Call Of Duty as franchises.

I have to mention that the US mission where you rescue Price and Ingram happened 2 years after Kommandobefehl (Commando Order) was issued, where it states that any and all Allied commandos who are captured would be summarily executed, even if properly uniformed or attempting to surrender. And if caught in enemy uniforms, they would be handed over to SD and executed, if they weren't killed in battle beforehand.
So by the time the 101 Airborne starts their missions, Price and Ingram would be long dead

One more thing. U.S. Paratroopers in Normandy had camo canopy parachutes, not white, like depicted in media, even Brothers in Arms gets this detail wrong.
Band of Brothers gets alot wrong. Really isn't as accurate as people always think it is

This is by far my favorite COD campaign. It's got good variety, healthpacks, the 3 nation setup, big battles, clandestine operations, a micheal giacchino score, and it's not too scripted to have bad replay value.

Inaccuracies aside, it's the only WW2 game where you're fighting both the axis and "allied" Soldiers which makes it really interesting. The German thought you're a soviet, and the Soviets thought you're a German sniper.

You missed some. Correct me if I'm wrong.
- During battle of the buldge, Martin didn't wear proper uniform. He still wore the same uniform from D-Day, despite multiplayer mode has the proper uniform. Same thing can be said for Sgt.Evans during V2 rocket mission. He still wore Airborne uniform despite already joined SAS.
- The snipers section of Pavlov House mission have normal Kar98ks with no bolt animation and don't share ammo with regular ones.
- Pvt. Elder was training with 101st despite being the 82nd. It would make more sense if he was 101st.
We mention our character still wears the M42 in Recogne. We also mention the snipers not sharing ammo as a whole. We also mention 82nd troops training with us

The Jericho trumpets on the Stukas are either for gameplay purposes so you would notice them coming in for attack or a misconception in that they always make that sound by design and not via an add-on part

The United Fronts mod sorta fixed some of these, in training for example, the 30 cal is used instead of the MG42 when crawling under the barb wire.

Another thing to Note about the "Panzergrenadiers":
They appear to be wearing to "Schlupfhemd" style Camo to be worn over the fieldblouse, but the Fieldblouse itself is missing.
The shirt they are wearing is the Field Undershirt, which would not even hold the obviously missing collar tabs.

Vanguard was obviously made as an expansion to Warzone, so all the wacky cosmetics and bullshit attachments make sense, and i honestly think it would be way better if they just went all B-movie rag tag team of soldiers like an 60s movie with Nazi conspiracies, they flirted with the idea but never committed
WW2 has no excuses, is just an copy of Band of brothers and downplays the concentration camps so much, like, they downplay the holocaust to say it was used on American pows and like
Yeah they were but I am sure concentration camps were famous for an whole other reason
They simply don't mention the holocaust or it's victims despite having an concentration camp

I recommend a mod for this game: Call of Duty United Fronts. Not only does it expand the game and combined COD and COD:UO, but it also fixes a lot of the historical problems you listed
I wouldn't say "a lot", it fixes like maybe 5 of the inaccuracies in this video. It doesn't go as far as the WaW mods. But this video will still be a helpful guide, to know what should be changed.
I think quality wise Back to Fronts for CoD2 is better. United Fronts had so many new rifle models with mismatched texture quality.
United Fronts maybe fixed some stuff, but added these boring recycled levels with terrible level design

Would be interesting seeing a vid on CoD 3. It was very rushed and came out between 2 amazing CoD games (CoD 2 and CoD world at war) and made some pretty big fixes from CoD 2 but idk how easy it would be getting your hands on it
I'm kind of wondering when you're going to make a inaccuracy series on the Medal of Honor games. As I remember a lot from the old medal of Honor games, especially medal of Honor rising sun, you saw Marines using m1 rifles during the Battle of the philippines, and as well even not even wearing historical uniforms at that point. And that's not only to mention the other accounts of other things they got wrong in various other games. Plus as well if you take a look at Medal of Honor frontline, or as well Medal of honor European assault you do see a few variations of inaccuracies here and there as well.

wrong unit takes out the guns at brecourt manor and the manor itself to show both events in one mission in order to save game space and calculating power.

inaccruacies in modern call of duty:
one woman alone inspires russians to fight harder for stalingrad, weapons that either never saw combat or were produced in quantity that didn't go above 100 units are scattered all over the place, weapons have idiotic never existing attachments, wrong units wearing wrong camos and japanese soldiers speaking english asking player if he speaks japanese...
the difference? real COD games despite inanccruacies treated their setting with respect
while modern cods just use it for complete bullshit that no matter how hard it tries can never pass as serious

This is the first time I've seen Price's corpse in the game. Although,the last time I have played CoD1 was like in 2005...19 years ago...
Would be cool to see more of these "older" games like Brothers in Arms, Sniper Elite: Berlin and even the Delta Force series.
Also, great game despite it's inaccuracies. Probably one of the best WW2 games out there, not THE best, but obviously up there. Fun fact, internally this was named "The Medal of Honor killer"

The Thompson is an open bolt smg, the bolt would slam shut, after firing the last round. Those mags didn't have a bolt hold open
I stand corrected, as per Forgotten Weapons, the M1A1 Thompsons had a bolt hold open
Playing this game feels really cathartic once you realize how large the franchise has become since then. Before No Russian, The Numbers, and WW3, it all started as a simple WW2 game made to honor the soldiers who fought for our country while also being a fun game as well.

I just realized that you talked a little bit about the multiplayer maps in this video. This has made me realize that it could be quite interesting to see you do a breakdown of each games multiplayers. You could do a section breaking down the maps based on real locations, then the realism of the maps that are historical fiction, before finally breaking down every other aspect of the multiplayer (Such as weapons and their attachments, kill-streaks, and historically inspired cosmetics).
I think when it comes to blatantly incorrect cosmetics like Bozo The Clown and the like you should just add one point for each of them. Then when it comes to uniforms that are inaccurate, but based on real uniforms, you can break down each aspect that is wrong. Finally, historically inspired uniforms can be broken down fully.
I wouldn't expect all of these videos to be the same length as the campaign videos but I still think they'd be interesting nonetheless. Especially once you get into games with wackier kill-streaks like Black Ops. Not all of them could be done this way, but I think that myself and others would still be interested in seeing the multiplayers broken down in the same way as the campaign.
Yes it's about time we see this.
2003 Call of Duty. Honestly, more accurate than Vanguard, not like that is difficult. Even with the, understandable due to technical limitations, inaccuracies, this game is still pretty good on being accurate. I certainly liked this game.
Of course then there's the Soviet campaign which starts off with Enemy at the Gates the playable movie. That can be excused as CoD loves doing this kind of stuff for dramatic and intense moments.

These videos are great! Highly detailed, chockfull of information I didn't learn about at school.
I'm curious if you're willing to look for historical inaccuracies in the Sniper Elite series. Especially the later games; Sniper Elite 3, 4 and 5. SE3 takes place in North Africa, SE4 is in the rare setting of occupied Italy (slightly before and during the resistance), and SE5 takes place in occupied France (while aiding the resistance). Sniper Elite 4 takes place in less common location, so there might be unknown information there. (Not many games take place in WW2 Italy, let alone have knowledge about it. Battlefield 5 for example forgets about it completely.)

what about a video of Brothers in Arms accuracies/inaccuries? i think it would be fun
1: The invasion flags should not be facing the correct way. They should be backwards, so as to be appearing to charge at the enemy.
2: During World War II, pistols were held with one hand. Some in-game are, some are not.
3: The BAR is seemingly modeled off of the M1918, when it should be the M1918A2.
4: The stock on the MP-40 should be unfolded.
5: I don't believe the bolt on the StG-44 should lock back, but I could be wrong.
6: It is impossible to reload a scoped rifle with a stripper clip. The rounds should be loaded individually.
7: A slight correction of an inaccuracy: The TT-33 failed to fully replace the previous Nagant M1895 revolver in the course of the war. There should be a few Tokarevs, but predominantly Nagant revolvers for the Soviets.
Actual inaccuracy count: 213 for the game, one for the corrections
Also the British Should have handguns like the Inglis High Power, Enfield No. 2 And Webley Revolvers
5. The variation of the rifle that became the StG44 was closed bolt at that point. I *think* the MP43 and early MP44's(?) were open bolt, as was the MKb42(H).

The Stars Forward is a recent thing, during WW2 they were worn as you would display the flag.
1. That was done AFTER ww2
3. The BAR is modelled correctly, its foregrip is correctly lowered under the barrel, the only difference is that CoD's model doesnt have the black plastic stock due to shortage of the Walnut stock, which was only introduced in 1942, but well over 18,000 were produced with the old Walnut stocks so it could be forgiven
4. You dont need to unfold the stock on an Mp40, it can help with stability but isnt a necessity
