Here at Sun Distributing, we believe that the supplier of the window film should know every aspect of the business. It makes it hard when a tinter or tint shop needs support but their supplier does not know the business from one end to the other. I started as a tinter helper in 1989 and worked my way up to the point of distribution. Along the way I have put together a successful retail tint shop and know every hurdle that a tinter and/or shop owner could face. I believe that there is an extreme value to having a company with our experience in the industry having your back.

Tint Wiz™ is a CRM app designed specifically for window tint companies. Book appointments, create proposals, send invoices, schedule jobs, manage tasks, and more.

Elmers glue ultra clear version. Get a sauce brush and wipe a thin layer on the application side where the dots are. Then put 1 layer of tint. Works the same and is cheaper

I just use 800 grit sandpaper or use 000 grade steel wool both work fine👍

This works great for the fine dots around the edge of the glass, also for rear window demisters 000 wire wool seems to help the tint adhere with no trapped air

Great video. Can you install dot matrix/frits over top of factory dots as a way to extend the coverage? I'm looking to reduce hood glare.

It's a cool idea to cover the dots but I don't like that it's not transparent. Is there any negative to just tinting over the dots? Why do people not like it?

this is for much wider dot matrix areas at the top of the back glass. you can tint over it but it doesn't look the best on these cars

What about removing some of the dot matrix, I have a large dot matrix behind my rearview mirror, but I'm now using a mirror dash cam, and the dot matrix blocks the front facing camera. I would like to remove an inch or two. Your thoughts?

Naah, most vinyls will do the same as tint, dotrix fills the gaps around the dots, I've pulled some off & you can feel the dot matrix pattern pressed into it.

I can’t find any “old school” (or anyone) installers that wanna resolve the dot matrix… 99% of people are incompetent as fuck, I even offered to pay extra - a significant amount extra, no one cares
