Arma 3 - DCS/Arma hybrid - 20k View distance- HUGE MAP

This is a special setup of mods and mission to try and re-create some of the scale of DCS maps into arma 3

The aim here was to get max view distance for terrain and units with max FPS.
To have a big enough map where flight time is a real thing and not maps end to end in 60 seconds.

May be a day we will see different games syncing multiplayer. Ex: DCS players with flight synced on a mp arma server. And arma map content synced with DCS.

@@yusriyahbagheri8843 We already have different games syncing multiplayer. Take the vatsim network for example in flight simulation - it allows people using MSFS, X-Plane, Prepar3D, FSX, FS2004 or Flightgear to fly together and communicate with real-world ATC procedures.

you need to go into options-addon options and set the dynamic view distance settings. otherwise arma will limit you to 12km

If you get sick of south Asia go to pmc tactical and take a look at some of their maps. Lots of 144km maps to download just like this one

Hi, I've downloaded the Dynamic View Distance Mod but the game's still the same :/ any reason why? Like I always have that kind of fog around (I also have reduced haze)

Bring your reduced haze mod and dynamic view distance towards the top of your mod list. The list of loaded mods isn't random, it's prioritizing all of your mods to decide which ones are the most important to pull data from compared to others. It's pulling data from another mod that's overwriting the data in the mods you're trying to get to work.

This map is great for Air ops, but it kinda sucks for infantry. On the ground, the textures are very poor. Somebody should crerate another version optimized with Arma 3 textures and functional buildings.

How about you are in dcs, you eject, now you are in arma 3 ?
IE: you go from aircraft sim to ground sim ?

as of this reply I haven't played arma for nearly a month but before most of my settings are set to high or ultra pip is set to 6000 ester reflections are turned off on most maps and anti aliasing is nearly maxed

Way far from DCS, but it’s not as arcade-ish as Ace Combat or Battlefied. Should still be fairly easy to pick up and learn though.
