Very good advices i waited for it for a while thank you so much for this It very help me Mark is a good professor Can you do a tutorial of tittibhasana please
Great tutorial. Thank you! My 1st experience with Boho Beautiful was a headstand video that Juliana did in Nicaragua a while back and it was super helpful. And now this one just brings it all together! I can get into the headstand but my legs are not so graceful. Lol. Once I get my toosh up above my head I end up bringing my legs up on either side of my body much like a straddle. I am going to chalk that up to lack of core strength. But I'd really like to be able to bring my legs up from a tucked position like you did here. Will dolphin help with that or do you have other tips there? PS. I love your videos and enjoy seeing your beautiful family.
I've been trying the headstand since the beginning of the year, almost everyday after my yoga practice (with the boho beautiful app), I was able to get into the headstand but I was falling on my back every time. And today with your fingers trick I FINALLY ACHIEVED IT!!! I could remain on my head and arms for a minute, easily!! It's been such a journey, THANK YOU MARK!!!
This is the best instruction I’ve ever seen! I’ve been doing yoga with you 2 since 3 years, everything I know and I can do, I’ve learnt here on your youtube channel. Your advices are the best! And I also love your mood and you voices! Thanks so much! You have no idea how much you saved my life with all the pain I’ve had and even after surgeries because of cancer! You make me feel good every time. Thank you so much!!!! 😘
So I've been practicing headstands for a while now and was able to get my feet up in a bent position but I was finally able to achieve my first full headstand today! It only lasted a split second and I'm sure my neighbors downstairs are wondering what that big thud was, but I feel so proud of myself because I have always wanted to be able to accomplish this pose and I finally did!! I'm going to continue practicing until I can manage to get out of the pose gracefully. However, it just goes to show that when you persevere and believe in yourself you can achieve anything! This is why I love yoga so much. Thank you Boho Beautiful!! Namaste. :)
As a total beginner, therefore so scared of hurting myself, I’ve been so careful practicing my strength by doing a lot of dolphin planks. Just a few days ago, I tried to get on my head and feel the weight shipped from my lower body to the upper one, my arms. And as I really felt all my weight just leaving my legs I was thrilled (with little scare) so I left that session at that ☺️. And today, to my very own surprise guys, (as a pear body shaped, with little arm strength), once I got into the right position, my legs just airily float up, departing the ground, and touched the wall behind it. It really was a magical, exciting sensation for me 🥰. I know there is a long way to go, but I can wait to grow myself. Thanks boho yoga for your beautiful, extremely helpful videos 🙏 And the biggest message here is I really think if I can do it, anybody can do it. Good luck to all of you out there ❤️
👏 this is the story of finding the true nature and purpose of yoga. Acceptance for where you and and joy in giving yourself permission to nonjudgementally push and experiment. 👏
Mark, I love that you get involved. Juliana is super human and for me as man impossible to follow when it comes to flexibility. I am a single parent father with 3 kids since 10 years and do yoga with my kids. I LOVE your yoga channel and am eternally thankful that the two of you post the classes on youtube. I unfortunately could not afford your paid App but would 100 % sign up if I could. I do a Yin class and a 20 min plus class with the kids every day. We love it. It has brought such an increase in quality of life to all 4 of us, it is unbelievable. Very thankful for all you two have brought to our life. Sending you love and light from Luxembourg 🇱🇺🙏🙏🙏❤️
What a beautiful message and idea that you and your kids are doing yoga each morning together. Please take a screen shot of this message and email it to contact@bohobeautiful.life and he will link up with at least a few months free of the app. Its great to know single parents like yourself are integrating such a beautiful ritual into your children's lives and that we are playing a role in that. ... Such a great video and I love the safety tips. When I started it took me about 8 months to build the proper strength in my body and do a headstand safely. Also important to tuck your tailbone and contract your core for stability in full extension and to protect our backs. I love Mark’s teaching so much.
I have been following and practicing with boho beautiful for 9 years. I just want to thank you!!! My sanctuary is practicing with you daily. Yoga has guided me through so many things in my life, both physically and mentally. I will always, as long as I am able, practice with these routines. THANK YOU for posting your videos. Many blessings and as always love and light.
I have been doing yoga for almost a month now and this video popped in my tl. it's my first time trying head stand and i can't believe i got to step 3 standing on elbows with my knees bent. Thank you. i'm subscribing and trying other videos of yours
Thank you Mark. After a long time I tried headstand with many schools , I can't still do headstand. But after your video, now i can do it easily after 2 days . Today is 01 May 2024. My problem is in my hands, I put my hands like an arch shape as many people instructed. It caused me hurt with the weak neck. As your video, i modified my hands, and now success
Best tutorial for headstand that I have found! Also, love the advice about "over adulting." A big part of life is the living/fun part. We sometimes forget that!
It took me 2 months to be able to Headstand without a wall. I agree with Mark it feels so great going upside down 😁 Those tips will be very helpful for beginners 💗
I have been practicing yoga at home for over 10 years now, consistently for the last 5 and have never been able to get to a headstand without a wall...until now!! My injured neck actually feels SO MUCH BETTER after this...All the tips were incredibly helpful, especially the finger placement!! Looking forward to working up to holding this for more than a couple seconds at a time. THANK YOU!
I started working out again 7months ago with strength training since I had become this weak skinny thing. I incorporated yoga from your channel 5 months ago for flexibility, stretching and mobility. Then gradually added Pilates and strong yoga for core and more balance. I have now (briefly) achieved my headstand this week thanks to you, your fellow TH-camrs, and my hard work ! Feels amazing! Thank you 🙏✨
Hi Mark, thank you for sharing the story of your personal injury. My partner has a herniated disk injury in his lower back as well. I will be paying more attention to the chit chat videos so that I can find out if you have more to say about that. A few doctors have recommended that he gets his spine fused when he gets older. I hope I can find out if there are other opinions about whether or not this is the only option. My partner has a very busy work schedule, so we have only been able to do yoga together a couple of times. It is good to see men doing yoga. I really appreciate what you and Juliana are giving to the TH-cam community to promote health and wellness. Awesome!
Honestly hazel. I don’t know the severity of his situation. But I was literally days out of spinal surgery before a steroid epidural that got me on my mat and started my slow climb back to health. I believe in many cases like mine surgery can be avoided with a healthy diet and a regimented and compassionate self care routine of building muscular strength and optimized health. If he is willing to commit to his back, his back will commit to him. The union can be found. I found it and have met sooooo many others who have found recovery as well. All the best to u and him. Love and light. Mark ☮
I’ve never been able to fully hold and balance my weight but I tried it again while watching this near a wall for emotional support and realized I actually do have the strength to hold it for at least a few seconds. I didn’t know I could! So excited to keep working on it!! Thank you! This really helped
“We need to accept that we won’t always make the right decisions, that we’ll screw up royally sometimes - understanding that failure is not the opposite of success, it’s part of success.”some of us we see failing as failure. Have a delightful day sharing some positivity to your side
I personally do it the "wrong way" and love the thrill of being able to stick balance immediately when kicking my feet up. Also I position my hands flat by the sides of my head as if I was going to do a handstand. I have never locked my hands behind my head. To me it's a good first step to building up to a handstand. A killer core exercise is lowering the legs slowly down to an L hold at 90 degrees, holding for a few seconds, and slowly raising all the way back up. I love that this hits both the transverse abdominus and lower back dynamically.
Last week I said to my sister that I want to do a headstand once again and so I was looking for a gym to ask for help. Today I am so grateful for your instruction. When I achieve my goal I will let you know. Thank you Mark. Have a wonderful day.
Amazing video. I watched several different headstand video but none talked about the dolphins exercise, and that is what helped me the most. I practiced consistently 1x a day, sometimes multiple times in one day for over a month and this past weekend I was able to complete a full headstand and full control getting out of it. Thank you so much!!😍😍
Been able to do headstand and that's because of Boho Beautiful. However, I mostly skip the strengthening portion (dolphin planks mostly) before getting into headstand because I tend to get tired and little bit shaky 😅 when I'm on the posture, especially when I am doing an hour long yoga class that encorporates inversion such as some of the classes in Retreat. I so love doing it coz it not only challenges your strenth and balance but also your focus, thus making me feel better and more grounded after. I just want you to know that everything that my body is capable of doing now is all because of Boho Beautiful...I am always excited to try something new from you especially the challenging ones like those that include inversions and other challenging postures. 😘
Hello Mark & Juliana, I started learn yoga with your channel for 4 years ago and still applying your yoga classes.I want to achieve headstand but my neck is too fragile. After saw your new video , i decided to try🙏🏻 thank you so much for giving me courage and move foward all the time❤️ love you so much
My daughter and I tried this today. My daughter got into a headstand first time thanks to your help. Im going back for more dolphin! However I felt solid in my foundation when walking my feet back and forth so I'm hopeful we can hang out upside down together soon. Oh to be 11 again!
How amazing you’re now teaching too! Thank you for your teachings. You guys are such an inspiration and definitely the start for me to create my own meditations ❤️ Grateful forever ! X Anouk
Wow! You have made me smile so big because when I am doing sone asanas like that I also think about my childhood! Gracias, gracias, gracias I am going to try it every day from tomorrow and hopefully I can do it again after 32 years!!!!!
Thk u for the demo. Am one of those who have been putting da whole body weight on the head and using cushions. I had neck pain. Now I know why u are using comfortably using a yoga mat.
I totally agree about adults feeling free to be childish sometimes. I never enjoyed exercise cause it didn't seem fun. I didn't want to follow a workout routine or a big plan, it would've felt too much like work in my eyes but a few months ago I started sprinting short distances like I did as a kid during my daily walks. And I started climbing stuff, walls I found on the way or a big rock and now I go to climb around some trees for twenty minutes every other day and it's just so much fun.
Wow 🤩this tip about fingers placement is such a gamechanger!!! You feel your forearms absolutly differently!!! Thank you 💞im not in a full head stand yet, but can finally hold my legs up WITH CONTROL 🙏
Currently feeling about a million miles away from being able to achieve a head stand but thanks to this great tutorial I will persist! Been following your yoga channel for about 18 months now and your content, along with all your positive affirmations are so inspiring! Being a single parent it's not always easy finding the time but I try and make sure I practice with you guys almost every day. With love and light from the UK 🇬🇧💗
Thank you for your great video. nobody untill now told me that you must prepare your self for headstand with dolfine exercise. Thank you i will try first with the dolfin exercise for a period and then when i am ready i will try also the headstand. for the moment it seems like a miracle the idea that one day i will manage to do this exercise.

Very clear advise! I did the dolphin pose and planks as preparation and it worked! I still have tight harmstrings from my knee injury and your advise is right: don't hasten to the pose and instead focus in building strength. Thank you for this clear video!

I have started with this tutorial as one of my new year's resolutions. I am very excited since I have always wanted to do it. I will enjoy the journey and let you know the results.
Incredibly excellent explanation!! the best Step by Step one I ever saw. The major importance of not just KICKING up I now understand fully which I used to do before; Not because I was not athletically able to do it the correct way, just being misinformed. I now realized from since a week, all along the head stand was easy (since I have been doing calisthenics for 26 years...somes inconsistent A few months) So although I was already doing it for a week I still was looking for other Yoga teachers explanations. As I said earlier, this one is definitely the best!👌
This is an excellent tutorial! I tried a bunch of dolphins just as you did then managed to get my legs up off the mat in a bent position as you did. This is going to be a fun journey! Thank you so much for all you guys do! Here’s to playful fun as an adult 🥳
Thank you. Usually when I see a video teaching that I don't even get the courage to click on it. But I now I feel like I can too do these cool stuff. 🤩 thank you for this you inspired me.
This is one of the best head stand instructional I've seen. I'm not there yet, but I notice where I need to increase my strength and gain confidence. Thank you!
not from watching this video, but the other day in the park I did my first headstand where I was able to lift myself up with control and no weight on my head, because i've worked the past 3 years on my upper body strength. I didn't hold it for long and I had my husband standing behind me incase i fell, but it was cool to see how much strength id cultivated in my body without realising it! More dolphins!!
Salut Bro.

Thank you, Mark! I'm working on getting my handstands back, but it's always good to come back to the basics, slow down, work on dolphins and get a nice, controlled headstand. The one that still eludes me- those blasted elbow stands! I can't hold a scorpion to save my life!! Take care and thank you again!
Honestly it is a great goal if not dream for me to do a headstand but wherever I have been in yoga classes they never break down the process which makes it look like magic. Your breaking down of the process sounds really enlightening to me.... I will put it in practice and if one day I manage to do it I will let you know :) Cheers!!

How amazing you’re now teaching too! Thank you for your teachings. You guys are such an inspiration and definitely the start for me to create my own meditations ❤️ Grateful forever ! X Anouk
I love it too Mark is teaching now :D
Getting curious to your meditations now too! Namaste
@@honeyvape4073 Ahw thank you! Hope you like them as well :D
Wow! You have made me smile so big because when I am doing sone asanas like that I also think about my childhood! Gracias, gracias, gracias I am going to try it every day from tomorrow and hopefully I can do it again after 32 years!!!!!
Thank you my guy! I watched this 3xs to make sure I got it. I appreciate the tips 🙏
Gracias Mark. Sin duda lo añadiré en mi practica. Un abrazo!
Very clear advise! I did the dolphin pose and planks as preparation and it worked! I still have tight harmstrings from my knee injury and your advise is right: don't hasten to the pose and instead focus in building strength. Thank you for this clear video!
Amazing! The best headstand tutorial! Thank you!
Thank you, I was searching for the tutorial step by step like this for the beginner like me. Thanks a lot.
Thanks to your Video I got it on my first day, tought it would be harder. Thanks!
u have motivated me to be a kid again- thanks it feels amazing. Im starting my strength training today, Ill keep you posted
This was the most helpful video I have seen for a headstand so far. Thanks!
I really like your style, your instructions are lovely and helpful. I am currently working on headstand. I have three herniated discs, one in my neck and two in my lower back. Yoga has helped me so much in every imaginable way. Physically and mentally. Thank you so much for your wonderful work. Sending love from Germany to the three of you xxx
I have started with this tutorial as one of my new year's resolutions. I am very excited since I have always wanted to do it. I will enjoy the journey and let you know the results.
NAILED IT! 🤘🏽✨ thanks Mark
I'm a super literal person and appreciate the percentages and instructions! Going to rewatch and try this! Thanks BB! 🌻
Means so much that this guidance speaks to you🤍
Incredibly excellent explanation!!
the best Step by Step one I ever saw.
The major importance of not just KICKING up I now understand fully which I used to do before; Not because I was not athletically able to do it the correct way, just being misinformed.
I now realized from since a week, all along the head stand was easy (since I have been doing calisthenics for 26 years...somes inconsistent A few months)
So although I was already doing it for a week I still was looking for other Yoga teachers explanations.
As I said earlier, this one is definitely the best!👌
Wow thank you... I just wanted to learn it during this summer. Perfect timing. ❤️
What a perfect time to move further in your practice! Hope this tutorial will help you 🤍🤍
I'm still waiting for Mark's yin yoga class!
This is an excellent tutorial! I tried a bunch of dolphins just as you did then managed to get my legs up off the mat in a bent position as you did. This is going to be a fun journey! Thank you so much for all you guys do! Here’s to playful fun as an adult 🥳
I love headstands and do them every night. There are a lot of benefits to doing headstands. Really fun! Thank you for another quality video! 🖐🏽💖🥰
Ahhh thank you for this! I was taught to practice against a wall but this feels so much more gradual & intuitive :)
He's so nice. Excellent instruction!
That makes us so happy to read!
beautiful and touching background music!
Thank you. Usually when I see a video teaching that I don't even get the courage to click on it. But I now I feel like I can too do these cool stuff. 🤩 thank you for this you inspired me.
Great technique! Thanks guys
First time trying and I'm closer than I thought I'd be. Thanks to this, I see what practice can bring me to level 3!
This is one of the best head stand instructional I've seen. I'm not there yet, but I notice where I need to increase my strength and gain confidence. Thank you!
Excellent video, the best I have seen, thank you
not from watching this video, but the other day in the park I did my first headstand where I was able to lift myself up with control and no weight on my head, because i've worked the past 3 years on my upper body strength. I didn't hold it for long and I had my husband standing behind me incase i fell, but it was cool to see how much strength id cultivated in my body without realising it! More dolphins!!
Salut Bro.
I love you both so much. I'm grateful for existing in this world at the same time you do :-)

Means so much you appreciate it. We are huge believers in making things less complicated ...that is eventually how we both found the most progress in our own practices🙏🏼
Such a great pinch for headstand!!I was trying it for 2 weeks and finally I got it!Of course I need more practice!!But I am doing it everyday for 5-10 breaths 💜🙏
Very useful video! Thank you!
You're amazing, inspired explanation to give brave for doing headstand. I've been practicing yoga more than 15 years yet still can't do the headstand now i'll learn to do that thank you 🙏🏻😘❤

As you say having fun practicing yoga 👍
for just 3 seconds there i was up and it felt good, so thank you.❤️
i will keep practicing till its 3 minutes😊
My head stand is pretty good but this video still managed to improve it. Thanks guys🙏🏻
Am def learning a lot! Thank you, Mark&Juliana... Forever!
Very good tips! These will help me to teach my students better, because I didn't struggle too much to achieve my headstand for the first time. Thanks.
