I enjoy your well explained Ashtanga tutorials very much. The only thing I'm missing in this one is the explanation of an "exit strategy" if you fall over. I don't know why, but most Yoga teachers conceal this topic. In the gymnastics sector You learn at the beginning how to proceed if You loose balance and this helps very to get rid of the fear from falling over! Even if exiting shirshasana backwards is not Ashtanga style ;) it helps a lot on the way to a perfect straight headstand.
Thank You! I was doing Sirsasana for years but never felt this confident. Watching your tutoring calms me down completelty to settle/lock in the perfect sirsasana pose!
Thank you for breaking down the headstand so clearly. I would love to find out how to raise my head in the headstand! Count me in on that tutorial and in the meantime have a lovely holiday season.
Thanks so much to you both, your tutorials are amazingly helpful. As you proposed, I would love to see a tutorial on the headstand lifting the head. Blessings to you both for your dedication and generosity.
Amazing help for my practice. You guys are amazing. Such good vibes and so loving. Besides the apparent excellent pedagogic skills😊 That's what Yoga teaching is about. Thank you for so generously sharing your knowledge. Much gratitude❤️
Greetings Mr Khani! This morning in my practice I was able to do the full headstand for the first time, after many months of slowly working up to it. For me I really needed time to strengthen and correctly align my lower back and hips, while patiently developing the sensation of balance. Feedback and assistance in class all helped. I did try to use a wall a couple of times but that was a no go for me.
Okay, this is so totally frivolous but also really important: What brand are your shiny pants?!?!?!!! I love all your videos by the way, they are helping my personal practice so much. We don't have an Ashtanga Yoga studio in our town but I find the principles apply to all forms of yoga.
Great explanation! I particularly liked the shots of Jelena’s muscles flexing, because it gives me a better sense of how much muscular effort is going into the work. Also, great tip about puffing the the upper back; and again a great shot of that in action. Thank you.
Thank you so much!!! This tutorial is so important. So far I can’t do headstand You motivated me to try that. You are amazing And Cony is smart and lovely❤
If you could tutorial videos on all the marichyasanas in the primary series (A-D) that would be amazing especially taking into account that maybe some of us don't have access to classes or a teacher so how can help ourselves better so we can bind, or go deeper into the twist etc. Many thanks!!!
Recently found you guys, and am hooked, you folks are totally drawing me into the practice slowly but surely, your videos are really engaging, and make a great team. Mr. Connie, you are truly the calmest chihuahua I've ever seen, ( I've worked in dog rescue for many years in Ireland, so I've seen my fair share of sketchy chi's.) I think Mr. Connie has been practicing on the side. One of the long termers in my home is Churro the chihuahua, who will be consulting with Mr. Connie, to gather some helpful hints on how to be a gentleman. Thanks folks , you guys are so endearing and really helpful and encouraging. Xxxx
Thanks and LOVE the puppy!! :) SO strange with practice lately. Without a strain or fall etc. My legs started tingling in backbends etc and I lost what was an extremely stable sirsasana for months. Things are starting to get back to normal again...very strange but the tips here helped regain my stability with the pose....thanks again...and keep the puppy in the tutorials...too cute.
Alo! Thanks for the tutorial and the inspiration! Questions: what about the shoulder and hip rotation in this one? I like to do a little intenal rotation in hips and some external in shoulders. And yes! Pleas show the other variations!
Thank you for this tutorial. Some teachers say to close the hands tight and put the top of the head on the wrists and lift up What do you think of this? Though it is much harder but they say it is much safer for the neck. Thank you again ❤🙏
Really cool , thank you for this vidéo 🙏🏼 Connie is soo cute 🤩🐶(not really sure how to write it)he is the incarnation of Ananta the infinity of Shiva. I will focus on that on my next headstands ! More seriously these were really great tips and it was mostly being more conscious of all these mechanisms involved during the posture.
Dear Mr. Connie, please ask D&J to create tutorials on the poses/principles of the Intermediate Series, starting from the first pose and slowly working thru the series. - Thank You!
Great tutorial! Is it okay to have bent knees & bring up both legs at same time versus one at a time? Also would love a tutorial on Chakrasana/Backwards Roll. I always get stuck at the end and I’m not able to lift my head even though I press on my hands. Help?
How perfect! I am working on my headstand almost daily right now! Thanks to your 30 min flow for beginners I have finally gotten the upper body strength to be able to get up in headstand! It’s been a goal of mine for quite some time, and I’m so proud of myself for the accomplishment 😊 So now I work on it a little bit daily to improve my balance and posture etc. I will try your tips tomorrow 🧘🏻♀️😌🙏🏻
I’ve been doing headstand a while ago with few modified ones and got into tripod headstand too. I’m getting into handstand but not successful yet I need more practice also I would love to learn from your tutorial about the handstand if you could post one please🙏🏻 Thank you so much and I love Connie so so cute😍
Awesome content! Connie is adorable! Please consider editing before posting. Frustrating to wait through pauses and chit chat. But I do, because you're so good! But geez!
Ok!!!! now I know why I couldn't lift up my legs together. I am able to lift up my legs one first and then the other one. I will try your advices put the hips passing a little over the shoulders and try to lift up my legs pressing the knees. I will do it with a wall in my back. Thanks so much David and Jelena and of course, thanks to Mr. Conei (I am sorry I don't know how to write the name).
I see your toes are pointing upwards like handstand but I see lot of people not pointing upwards. I found pointing upwards more stable bcos I can squeeze my bums and legs tight and maintaining better balance. Again Jelena does it beautifully...
Hello and first of all thank you for your content which is fantastic for my ashtanga pratice ! (And english practice also 😊) I am now quite at ease with head stand with oress and would like to improve pincha mayurasana. I can enter into the pose with help of wall but have a hard time to hold it without touching the wall some times. Would you have some indications to crash this ? Thanks a lot and see you
OMGG I was able to do the headstand before I finish the video. Thank you guys so much
You're so welcome! 😊🙏

Thank you for breaking down the headstand so clearly. I would love to find out how to raise my head in the headstand! Count me in on that tutorial and in the meantime have a lovely holiday season.

Hahaha me too!! I even asked chat gpt because I love Jelena's outfits. Plus they look super comfy
Great explanation! I particularly liked the shots of Jelena’s muscles flexing, because it gives me a better sense of how much muscular effort is going into the work. Also, great tip about puffing the the upper back; and again a great shot of that in action. Thank you.
