Right now your best tools against a Dragon Lord are going to be Shooting and Magic. Concentrate jezzails, warplightning cannons etc at the dragon asap. There are spells that can hamper their movement or block their moves with walls and stuff like that. Use storm banner to ground the dragon long enough to possibly pin it into a losing battle against multiple units. use multiple characters with fellblade, weeping blade, and dragonslayer sword. Poison attacks also are helpful.
I feel like in lower than 1000pts the army restrictions should be more lenient. I don't see any harm in a lvl 1 warlock for instance as it allows a new player to experience magic. From my pov I like 500 - 600pts games to be like Skull Pass or Island of Blood.
I think the Skaven list is fine.. if you play TOW like you played 6th Ed.. And the others do too. None of that nonsense of armies that look like Age of Sigmar armies on square bases.. But proper Core, a bunch of proper blocks, 5x4, 5x5, 6x4, 6x4. then SUPPORTED by SUPPORT. Not just nonsense and the actual core hidden ina corner.
OK, I was excited about this, because Skaven is probably the most difficult army to build in this iteration of the game (due to all of the unit-restrictions). And unfortunatly it shows, because you made some mistakes during the video. (On my opinion. It's possible that you are correct, and I made the mistakes... like I said, building a skaven army is a difficult task). 1. Your 500 points army is only 491 points. That 9 missing points are two extra clanrats, and/or an enchanted shield / potion of foolhardiness to your general. 2. I'm pretty sure 3 Rat Ogres with a Master Moulder costs you 156 points, not 151. You have to pay 5 points for a packmaster before you can upgrade one packmaster (the only one) to be a Master Moulder. This 5 point difference affects all of your lists beyond the first two. 3. Your first 2000 points army costs 2022 points, of which 5 points are the Rat Ogres. The 2x10 Giant Rats are marked here as 35 points each, they should be only 30 each without a packmaster, but this is not enough to balance the surplus. All the other units are costed correctly, you just spent too much points. 4. Your third 2000 points army cosct 2009 points. Again, no additional mistakes here beyond the Rat Ogres, you just spent 4 points too much. (And while I'm writing, I'm not entirely sure, but I think in your Bretonnia video you paid for a plain warhorse for a damsel instead of a Bretonnian one once... I'll check it later.) PS.: I still like these videos, and can't wait for the next one. I vote for a Dwarf one again. :)
Some more 3rd party Skaven: Resin Warfare’s Ravenous horde line - pretty comprehensive Punga - prices worse than GW at times, stay away Mantic Games Kings of War Ratkin - reminiscent of the Mordheim era of Skaven One Page Rules Ratmen - a more regal take on Skaven EmanG - stls were taken down by GW, but I’m sure the files are floating around somewhere Black Tree Design Ver’men - knock off Skaven from the 90s
Congratulations, I'm your 1000th subscriber.
I really appreciate that this is just having me buy skaventide things

Hi Iraqi child, your best tool against the M1 Abraham is throwing small rocks.

So glad you put this out! Great work!
I missed the fanfare at the beginning of the video! No horses were mustered today ;-)
You talked about what spells you’d take for the engineer at 1500 points, but you didn’t actually make him a wizard.
