If a government allots money for a road, and the minister for that road pockets half the money for themselves, only paying for half the project, the results end up being the results.

Good point bro ,But don't forget they pay taxes also ,Those taxes go to the stupid Government, So why can't the government do the road for them since they are generating revenue from the market (tax) ....Remember every income earned has something its made to cater for ....if after diving their Income portion by portion to cater for some certain needs ....Do you expect them to use the portion that was supposed to be kept as feeding money ,hospital money, travel money ,investment money or vacation money to construct the road that was supposed to be done by the government? ...Even though they have given the government a portion of that income which is the Tax money, to enable them build roads for them and even build borehole for the market .....
Note...I'm not attacking u ,but I just want to let u know that it's not easy to spend for same thing twice ....They pay daily,weekly and monthly tax and that's the construction money ...let's hold the government responsible, not the business men and women ..Thanks.
The traders pay market levies, the truck and pick up drivers (that transport these goods for those who buy) pay some money (depending on the size of the truck) before leaving the park. So this road inside the market is the responsibility of whoever collects the levies to build but as always, they are quick to collect taxes and levies but they are slow to build the necessary infrastructure.
Nigerians are trying their best. they pay what they need to pay because there are systems in place to collect such taxes and levies. That part of the road shown when it was raining looks like laterite was recently poured there and compacted. So let's hope that's a plan to build the road.
And do you know that the market was built by the individuals themselves, yet they pay taxes,
After the foolish politicians will say people are insulting them, all the taxes they are collecting from the market at least set aside 20 percent of it for the maintenance of the roads there,
I don't know what is wrong with politicians in Nigeria.

The prices of building materials has gone up.

You don't want to see those unsightly wires and pipes.
For 1. and 2. you need to find a builder to give you a quote because like I always say in all my cost estimate videos: we need measurements to be able to give you a quote. All soakaway pits are not equal. For plastering, no two houses are equal. Get a mason to give you a quote. If you are afraid of being cheated, get 3 qualified masons and compare quantities of material each of them quoted. But bear in mind that some people tell you 10 bags of cement today, you end up buying 30 later. lol

Just like the big building supplies store/warehouse here in the Midwest states we hv from poor to affordable to just way out expensive fancy the samples of merchandise materials u may buy use in building plans your roads weather conditions travel back and forth are not gd u take part of the plans built

You are welcome. To the best of my knowledge, as of today, the only way a foreigner can open a Nigerian bank account is with a resident permit and other documents. So for that the person must hold a Nigerian resident permit and living in Nigeria.
