@The AnimatorGuy to keep it simple in the first death battle it just mario and sonic with feats and restricted powerups but in this one they just used the game feats and sources that support in game feats and mario won because he has way more powerups and feats that just let him keep up with sonic enough to win
Mr Sunny Polo I’m still confused as to how Mario is supposed to outlast Hyper Sonic? You know, a Super form so powerful it basically can take on opponents that are indeed invincible and damage them? Clones or not, that’s faulty analysis on Death Battle’s part, since Hyper Sonic can last just as long as Super Sonic.
@@hyperstargaming6150 what sonic games have he been able to hurt invincible characters and also even if it did hurt someone that was supposedly invincible it was probably a plot thing about either not having enough power or not being immune to chaos energy which would be hard thing to use as in mario games once you have star power or anyone that makes you undamagable hasn't been shown to be overcame and also mario is able to hold on multiple powerups so he would be able to constantly reapply his invulnerability multiple times and out last sonics super form

Mario’s power level completely changes from game to game. In one he’s taking on multiversal reality Warpers like dreamy bowser and in another he’s getting fucked by regular bowser in wedding attire.

Richardson_ Studios to be fair that was classic sonic. Modern sonic’s super form is much stronger.
Sonic as a whole is more consistent with his power level (probably because Sega takes sonic’s power level more seriously as opposed to Nintendo with Mario).

Welp, just from the pause screen I see, ScrewAttack said that Mario Mario is 24 years old and appeared in 362 games. The answer is that there is no proof of those facts. Yes, Mario did appear in more games than every other gaming character as the most famous (just like Princess Peach (Nintendo's Amy Rose, welp, for the most part anyways) having appeared in more video games than every other female gaming character, which proves that stereotypical femininity is far more over-popular than girls that can put their backs into working on many things. *sighs in frustration* Talk about being tasteless, no pun intended.), but surely, he's appeared in twice as much games as ScrewAttack said.

Meaning that in the cut between Sonic defeating the final boss of his story and seeing him again, the orb had fallen and Sonic took a run off of it shortly before it would hit the ground.
Sonic Frontiers: you mean when Super Sonic flew down from space, then released to normal Sonic shortly before landing? That's not a fall from orbit.

I have something to tell: The star took long because of the feather cap, when on SM64 I get a metal cap and then a feather cap, the metal cap lasts the same time as the feather cap does, so it has to be the same with the star.

There's one thing I found out when I was playing Mario Galaxy, Flying Mario was activated by the Red Star, a power up that holds the power of the red Lumas. Lumas have the ability to turn into planets and galaxies. So, by theory, this form of Mario would have the power of a galaxy😮
Mario could be considered as having the power of a galaxy for other reasons, but your theory is incorrect. Offspring isn't always as powerful as the peak of its source. Your theory would also signify that regular planets born from Lumas could have the power of a galaxy, which you probably don't believe.

The animations don’t take into consideration the research, only the victor. The animations are just cool scenarios but they don’t take into show all the abilities and destructive power
To be fair, sonic can only go hyper because in sonic 3 and knuckles, when sonic got both the chaos emeralds and super emeralds, he can only go hyper, can't go back to super. Plus the spinach does indeed destroy massive robots Mario is more durable than sonic, that's why he was able to hold sonic while he was spin dashing.
Hey you most likely don't really care about this anymore, but just so you know the reason why Mario's star power-up lasted longer is because of the bottomless gloves they gave him in his notes during his introduction. It's an equip item from the Mario & Luigi series that let's you basically use the same item an infinite number of times without it being "consumed". Which basically would result in Mario being able to use star power-ups as often as he wants.

Well, yeah. Archie Sonic made 2011 match way too uneven for Mario to actually hit Sonic. With Archie excluded due to being too far above Game Sonic, Sonic is slowed down to Mario's reaction speed, making his durability and strength shine past Sonic's.

That's beyond LINEAR TIME and grants sonic immeasurable speed right there, with no debate. I'm not gonna talk about time eater, because of death battle's reason which, even though they may not make sense, i'm just doing this to prove that even by their standards sonic is way too powerful for mario. Super Sonic fought Egg Wizard along with Burning Blaze, the Egg Wizard has the power of the stars, the power that can destroy realms.
(Still low multiverse level, but with super sonic to boost him, we know he is atleast multiverse level) We know for a FACT that hyper sonic is multiple times stronger than super sonic, because in one of the games we fight a mech which turns super using the super emerald ALONE. That means hyper sonic is atleast SEVEN TIMES STRONGER than super sonic. I think this puts hyper sonic as low-multiverse level, with IMMEASURABLE spead. Darkspine Sonic fought Alf Layla Wa Layla, who was powered by all 7 of the world rings and took over the stories of the book itself. And EACH PAGE in the book is a UNIVERSE.
So to conclude:
Base Sonic = Universal - Low Multiversal with immeasurable speed.
Super Sonic = Multiverse level with immeasurable speed.
Hyper Sonic = Multiverse level with immeasurable speed.

but the difference is he used a homing attack on this one rather than a spin attack as it shows that it goes straight to Mario rather than spinning next to Mario due to the fact that a spin attack can't target people on air.

People should be more focused on VS debating normally instead of criticizing me for trying. I have my favourite characters, but in this case, Sonic is who I like more and he clearly obliterated by Mario in every way, which goes to show I'm not biased. Whenever I try to provide better research than Screwattack, people want to deny me with excuses that are not well thought out, and very rarely do I get an even somewhat reasonable debate.
