That and maybe the reason on how he did this water from Earth fist in the end is because SpongeBob allowed him to do that from his imagination. It’s a probable cannon when looking it at that point of view

I really like Aquamans final attack, the idea that he surpassed all his limits and just attacked him with all of earths water, noselling all of his feats from the analysis
And yet it still runs into a concrete limitation (the amount of water on Earth) that puts him way, way, WAY below SpongeBob... never mind that he just absorbs it all
I actually like that they kept it accurate to Spongebob's character, he gave Superfriends Aquaman a chance to not feel like a joke and gave him the dignity of a proper tombstone
Wiz's slow descent into madness as he realizes just how OP Spongebob is, is probably the best thing in this shows history. Also, just to make sure we're all on the same page here, never let a toon force fight a character without toon force, that's not even a stomp it's a god damn annihilation.
Lmao that outlier ass "feat" that was just for laughs versus the hundreds of times Spongebob was dazed, wounded, injured, on the brink of death, and knocked unconscious and somehow people are wanking him to the enth degree. I advocate for Spongebob more than anyone, but this bandwagoning of him being universal is absolutely ridiculous and stupid. His grounded consistent feats put him at multi-city block level with FTL reaction time. He's not 36 btw, he's 14 or around 18, that license was set in the year 2000 and expires in 2003.
I'm a much bigger fan of Michael, but have to assume Jason will win this. Michael's supernatural is heavily implied but Jason has straight-up come back from the dead multiple times, has some sort of teleportation, and if you DO finally manage to kill him he'll just hop into another body (thanks for that one Jason 9). Michael appears unkillable but then dies anyway. The most supernatural-leaning of his continuities (the Thorn trilogy) also kinda undermined him as just like this enforcer for this cult (maybe, I don't remember Halloween 6 too well because it was even worse than Jason 9). At his most unkillable, Michael has been killed and rebooted, whereas Jason always comes back, no reboots.
I remember when these battles were just cheap, old school Mortal Kombat fights with no dialogue until one combatant died. Now they've incorporated, not just dialogue, but also multiple styles of animation and sometimes even a story with irony and really incredible chemistry between the two opponents. It truly is astounding how far this show has come
It's hilarious watching Wiz basically have a mental breakdown over how broken Spongebob's existence is. I don't think they even mentioned Spongebob's imagination. Granted, we don't SEE what happened in the box, but because he's already so broken, it would make perfect sense that it was all legit. Edit: WAIT A MINUTE. THE T.V.!!

Out of all the death battle we have so far, this is the one where even Death Battle realise how much of a curbstomp this was. Encouraging Aquaman and even made a 1# tombstone for him even tho Aquaman tried to kill him.
Eh, Spongebob unraveling the universe wasn't really a feat for Spongebob. He found a frayed thread of the universe like on a sweater. Anyone who pulled that string would have caused the same thing to happen. Death Battle is going overboard on Toon Force. I love how they somehow manage to scale Aquaman to FTL, only for Spongebob to nonchalantly have the fastest calculable speed feat in the entire bloody show.
You know the scariest part? This is perfectly in character for Spongebob. Check out the episode with Krab's nickle when he strangled his own boss in frustration, or the one when he held up Krabs and Plankton with a Tartar Sauce gun, or the time he absorbed a tub of water then fired it at Gary in an attempt to clean him, destroying his furniture in the process, or even the time he caused a the equivalent of a nuclear explosion to get a smudge off a plate. When push comes to shove, the Sponge will go all out to get something done, and while I doubt he'd ever intentionally try to kill someone, going nuts for an instant and getting someone killed is more than possible provided you don't have G-rating protecting you.

I mean... it's SpongeBob Squarepants. He thinks Squidward Tentacles, the international gold-standard for "Uncaring Hipster Douchebag," is the cat's pajamas. He'll even give Sheldon Plankton, the supervillain right across the street from his place of gainful employment, the benefit of the doubt... suicidal naivety, or is he just THAT much of a stand-up guy? Money's on a little bit o' both.

It's crin
OMG YES
I remember when these battles were just cheap, old school Mortal Kombat fights with no dialogue until one combatant died. Encouraging Aquaman and even made a 1# tombstone for him even tho Aquaman tried to kill him.
Eh, Spongebob unraveling the universe wasn't really a feat for Spongebob. He found a frayed thread of the universe like on a sweater. When did Spongebob ever Gurren Lagan punch someone from the other side of the universe?
@@seespace7146 toon force is the only reason spongebob was capable of having that feat, most other characters would probably die destroying their own universe

I love how they don't even pretend like its remotely close at all. Like at the end of Aquaman's analysis, they legit just say "he's gonna die"
Also, can we comment on how Spongebob struggled lifting a glass of lemonade, but also held the entire unraveled string the weight of the observable universe?

I like that even though they knew Aquaman didn’t have a chance, they didn’t truly disrespect him like they did Mikey in the TMNT episode. Wiz kept trying to find feats for him, acknowledged his heroism, and even gave him a character arc in the fight.

Mikey is probably getting his respect in the last ronin vs old man Logan when that happens
@@gameuniverse5973 old man Logan would kill Michaelangelo because wolverine heals from mortal wounds Michaelangelo would wind up like the Raphael vs wolverine short battle
The ending with SpongeBob doodling a Grave for Aquaman calling him "Ocean Man" was surprisingly wholesome.
Man I need that episode
"You're a villain!" "No I'm not!" "I don't believe you!" is hands-down the #1 tropening plot in Death Battle history, so it was good to see it somewhat subverted in this one with Aquaman actually realizing SpongeBob isn't a villain while also giving them a reason to continue to fight after.

I don't see it as out of character. If you never knew what Spongebob was truly like prior to researching him, you'd be surprised and fascinated too.
They forgot about him being beyond the dreamy dreamer, who dreams up to stories of the multiverse
Yeah Spongebob is one of the most broken characters in Death Battle and since he can give himself any power he wants it means he can out beat practical anyone.
I love that this, of all episodes, is the one time they outright admit one of the combatants stands absolutely no chance of winning. Not even episodes like Omni-Man vs Homelander or Flash vs Quicksilver got that.

Really shows that the team understands who Robert is at his core. A kind, loving friend to all.
Really. That ending was pulling on my heart strings
@@kicker19539 I legit started crying. Growing up with SpongeBob, this was literally exactly how I could see him handling this situation. He'd fight, yeah, but for him it's all fun. He's used to people just shaking it off.

No arguments here. They did SpongeBob good here even trying to be aquaman’s friend. Almost brought a tear to my eye when he said “let’s be super friends”.

Hi

Nice
The greatest episode is Allah
He may be the lamest Aquaman , but at 17:45 that felt freaking awesome. Maybe I am just hyperfixating, but the fact that even though he and the audience knew he was going lose he gave his all with an epic final attack. Sure he may have lost, but in the end he proved himself in my eyes.
Not exactly the biggest comic nerd here, so i'd say hitting someone with the entire ocean is the greatest feat of strength i've ever seen Aquaman do.
It felt like DBZ, and that's awesome.
he certainly went out more dignified than Homelander
@@quickman2663 Well, in the comics he got better fear. For example, fighting with kinda serious Wonder Woman on equal ground. But yea, this attack is probably the best thing Aquaman done outside of the comics.
He may be lame and a joke, but he gave it his all and died with honor, and for that he won my respect
Not only can he create anything with his mind and magic pencil, he’s even created fortresses and entire armies out of sand while fighting Patrick
I was expecting this to go like Deadpool vs Pinkie Pie, where they ended up being friends and the fight would end without a kill. Aquaman ended up forcing SpongeBob's hand though, and we ended up having the most emotional death battle episode ever. Legitimately had me on the brink of tears at the end.
Edit: Second watch and I just realized that SpongeBob wrote "Here lies Ocean Man" on Aquaman's grave. Clever reference to the first movie's end credits theme being Ocean Man, which also adds to the tears from nostalgia. The grave's shape also references the one of a dead fish whose name is too long for me to remember. Double whammy of memories right there.
Such an end like that is rivaled by the end of tanjiro vs Jonathan Joestar
Yeah i also feel like that too man
It was emotional but I wouldn't say the most emotional. My emotional pick was Saitama vs. Popeye. That or All Might VS Might Guy.
I thought that Bob would just laugh a little and continue with his life after killing Arthur, but the fact that he actually care Aquaman and draw a tombstone with respect... Man, that's the cartoon I grew up with. :')
