Weight is the enemy of performance. This is one of the first times where engineers decided to leave the weight in the vehicle and remediate the issues with counter-measures. I admire the Ford engineers for making a 4200 pound car perform decently on the track. I won't second guess the folks at Ford. I drive a first generation BMW M2 which is the polar opposite and designed for the track. I'll just say they accomplish the same thing.
Good point. Ford was trying to make the car work respectably on the street and not be so fragile. It will take time to measure their success, but the decisions they made make a lot of sense.

Sorry but as an owner of both these vehicles my vote is on the 350R as the more balanced, engaging and enjoyable experience both on road and on a racetrack. Great review guys.
The gt350r is tremendous. Easily one of the greatest cars ford ever built. Personally i am in the same camp i prefer the 350, specifically on track. That said when you ignore all the road laws 😆. You can probably find a way to have fun with the gt500 on the street.
I think your spoiled due to the 350. Can't blame you though...so am I! You still own the 350R? I daily the regular flavored GT350 and love it.
@@timothycc711 Absolutely. It just goes to show me just how close to perfection the GT350R is.. I drove my 500 for a week or so.. then got back in my R and felt so relieved.. again.. the 500 is a numbers car, the R is a drivers car, in my opinion.
@@jackholmes8105 Yeah but if you get caught horsing around in the 500.. you better hope that cop has a sense of humor because it hits 120 like the 350 hits 75.. I hit 150mph on the back "straight" at Portland raceway with little effort.
Also. Now I know why so many Porsche enthusiasts were throwing a fit when they announced the manual trans was going away.
epic car. my father treated himself to a 2020 mustang gt premium as a retirement vehicle, his neighbor has a 2012 GT500, cousin has a 2012 Boss 302. the 2020 is a lot nicer inside, but it's still a mustang. it's funny the first thing i noticed on his gauge cluster was the abysmal fuel range with a full tank. i had a couple fox body stangs back in the day, they've come a long way. a 460hp Fox Body would be a certified deathtrap on the street... 760+ would be suicide. to me Fox Body's turn scary after 350hp for street fun. 250-300 is a sweet spot for them.
Mark’s voice was noticeably deeper by the end of this video.
If Mark buys this car he'll have enough testosterone to regrow his hair.
They could have gone nuts in editing there. 😆
I got to see one of these in person a couple of months ago because it came to my shop to get clear-filmed and it absolutely looks and sounds like something very special.
Rear diff cooler from factory sure would've been nice for the RS...
Air-conditioned driver seat would have been a useful addition, too.
So would of a re-worked Head Gasket and exhaust manifold..
Absolutely amazing video here savage geese. The quality it top notch and the detail makes me keep coming back for more. Never stop doing these great in depth reviews 🤗 keep up the fantastic work guys
your smile says it all. just buy one already
traded c-seven grand sport for the 21 Shelby, also have c8, but let me tell ya, the GT500 is one of the sickest cars ive ever driven in, anything more than that is overkill to the extreme, tremec 6 spd was absolutely phenomenal, power outright scary, the car is a must drive experience!!
why is your wrist blurred? is patek philippe going to be upset that you're wearing a calatrava in your video?
Oh boy! My favorite TH-cam reviewers reviewing my favorite car! Life is good 👍!
You have great taste, sir.
A Miata would be the polar opposite. Your M2 and the GT500 share a good amount in common with how they operate.
Good point. Ford was trying to make the car work respectably on the street and not be so fragile. It will take time to measure their success, but the decisions they made make a lot of sense.
I can't believe I live in a world where straight pipes has 1.2 million subs and this amazing channel can't break 500k 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
All this tech and it’s still gonna smash into crowds at cars and coffee.
Watching this video 3 years later makes me so excited to finally purchase one
This car can cure ED.
Hey Savage as much as you enjoyed it. You're 6 months straight of getting screwed is over. Summer is here, time to take it to the track.
I love when either of them say holy shit, that's real.
Great video! 🙌🏻 I’m glad that you guys still mention the Terminator cobras and compare in its own way to this new crazy GT500
Blurred wrist at the intro? We know you have a big business Rolex fresh from the Rolex store
Cared so much about this video, I'm watching it again after your recent GT500 video.
YO GOOSE! Loved the stream last night. Your content is the tastiest out there. Love to consume your horderves. Yummm
Jack laughing while he trips through the gears almost made me tear up with joy, that's why we love V8 power, the rush, the adrenaline, the kid in us all.
I was just wondering who left the nasty fat tire marks in front of my house... It was Jack in the gt500 😂
You guys have something so special. You content and editing is spectacular. Both you bounce off each other- truly good friends.
Both well educated and experienced in what you do and talk about even with the variety of manufactures that you show and “represent”.
Keep it up! You have something here or there or whatever.... you got it.
Scripted - no. Great information - yes.
Your awesome and real. I hope you take this message and NEVER go to far from where you are at right now and what you have been doing.
You will feel the burn at some time if you do. You guys are GREAT! Hopefully, everything makes sense for you right now and keep doing it. Thank you for your service and time spent doing what you do - it worth it. Believe me.

A great video, one of the best I’ve seen so far. A lot of fun to watch. As I make my way through your back catalogue I’d say you and Jack are an excellent team. Looking forward to seeing you guys on the track with this beast
"and again, it's all about contro- predictability. -predictability." Lmaoo
I gotta buy one of these. I love my GT350R. Will be keeping it. Your comments about the C8 are so bang on. We had a 2020 and I am sure glad I kept my ZR1. Great reviews.
This channel is freaking amazing every f¥cking time.
Hands down guys from Canada. Best channel
As much as I love the GT350 as a driver’s car, the GT500 is an even better car the ultimate track car
Thanks for putting together high quality and informative videos. No one does it this well.
Balding friends....but I'm 23😂
Again another superb video! I finally decided to pull the trigger and be a patron on Patreon since TH-cam is always in a state of flux (i.e. Wednesday's livestream lol)
You two always create an amazing piece of art and information and I wanted to continue supporting that! Thanks y'all ❤️
10:40 - Is rotor sniffing a thing?
_I love the smell of hot brakes in the morning._
_I am having decerealation for breakfast._
I hit the like in 10 sec of me starting the video! Great content gentlemen. Keep going.
Gyro meat is for amateurs. I rub duck liver all over me before every video.
Excellent content. Every new video is a must watch.
Both of you laughing when trying to express the driving experience says it all. Great car.
What profanity do you have on your wrist watch? 🤣

Probably just a personal message that had someone's name
Hiding the premium Stauer watch to keep us from drooling over the best $1.50 he’s ever spent.
So happy you're doing an LFA review.
heavy breathing as my gyro meats warms up
