    Ok so the second way to do the 90 day reporting is doing it by online although I personally don’t do it this way nor would I recommend it as the results seem varied and you’ll have to input personal information on a website that has security warnings. The reason why I even bother mentioning this method is simply because I know it exists, some people have had success, and I imagine it’ll eventually be working and reliable so you should be aware of it. For now however, being that the next method I’ll mention is reliable and in my opinion just as easy as the online reporting method, I don’t see a reason to risk the security warnings.
    So basically he tells me they do everything legal related from multiple and single reentry permits, finance visas, and even visa runs which they charge 3300 baht and it includes the bus travel as well as the hotel stay and guidance at the Thai embassy in Laos. You will have to pay for the visa itself however which is another 1000 baht. Honestly if I was traveling here I’d just checkout another country like Vietnam for a few months before coming back to Thailand but services like these do exist for those that just can’t get enough of Thailand in their initial 60 days.
    Thanks again guys for checking out this vlog. Currently I am editing this vlog on our trip in northern Thailand in Udonthani so I won’t be able to release 2 vlogs, but I am super excited to share all the fun content I have planned for you in the coming months which I promise will be for both viewers living in Thailand as well as those just planning a holiday.

    I used Asia Visa Consulting (Sukhumvit soi 24) to do my 90 day report and was happy with the quality of service. They seem very organized and I felt safe leaving my passport with them. Well, even though your video is excellent and I like the agency, we had a problem. We mostly think of 90 days as 3 months so three months from the date on the entry/departure card (11 Aug). Not so! It is an actual count of 90 days and so would expire 9 Nov not 11 Nov. Also, seven days after includes all weekend days and the 90th day so was up yesterday the day I gave them the passport around noon. Even the agency miscalculated and was a day late when they brought my passport today Friday 16/11 and now I must show up at their office at 10:00 a.m. and go with them in a car up to Changwatana Immigration on Monday. So, now I must report in person as the agency did not go the same day, which I did not expect anyway, thinking they actually had seven business days after the 90 day mark which I thought to be the date on the departure card 11th of Nov. and then 7 business days going to Nov. 18th. This is Thailand and so if you are bad at bill paying as with utilities they make one go in person and now I see that it also applies to missing government deadlines. You might wish to caution people about the counting of the 90 Day dates and consequences in your, otherwise, excellent video.

    • @livetravelasia
      @livetravelasia  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes excellent point. It is truly 90 calendar days. I'd also like to add that even when I send my 90 day report by mail and send it 15 calendar days before 90 days by registered mail, I still sometimes get a stamp warning me I should send before 15 days although I've gotten that stamp many times and they've always just processed it anyways. I have heard the online reporting is a bit more reliable and I may eventually hop on it but reporting your 90 days report 60-70 days before due date by mail seems the best way to go for now. I have a system down where I already have envelopes and everything ready with an alarm on my iphone to remind me to do so. I am really sorry to hear you went through that that ordeal :( Hopefully 90 days reporting will be smooth sailing from now :)

    Good video, very informative. I decided to look for an alternative to traveling to Chaengwattana from Ekamai because the BTS is almost unusable due to overcrowding. I know where the Japanese travel agency is on Sukhumvit Soi 24 and will try it as its a bit too late to mail in my 90 day report. The only concern I have is if they lose my passport. There is a real value (around $2000US) on the illegal passport market depending on which country it is from. I have personally witnessed a Thai lady working with several passports in a coffee shop in the Trendy building on Soi 13. For some reason she got up and left the passports sitting unattended on the table for over 20 minutes. I could have easily picked all them up and walked out of the shop which made me reluctant to use an agency. However, with the traffic and BTS situation as it is, I will try this week and hopefully it all works out well.

      Yeah it’s a risk for sure. But I probably trust these guys more than I do myself knowing my girlfriend is Japanese and how anal she can get hahaha. Nice video Ethan. I didn't notice it til now. I'm back in America now but would appreciate a video on the best way to file the TM30 visa which has received much press (and didn't start being asked for til I left Thailand). It'd be helpful to understand both how it's done as a condo owner like you are as well as someone renting or staying in hotels. I believe there's starting to be services that handle this too.

    • @livetravelasia
      @livetravelasia  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Asia visa travel charges 2k cause you have to pay a late fee. I’ve heard some people sending it by mail and online is only available for the owner unless the owner gives you their user name and password which in itself is hard. I just shot myself applying for the password but no email back. Now I am in Pattaya trying to reset my tm30 so when I got to report 90 day tomorrow I don’t have to pay a penalty on tinge tm30. Will see how that goes. Simone told me the captain of immigration said that they can issue the online passwords at chang Watts a so trying to kill two birds with one stone

    • @J_International

      @@livetravelasia Do you always have to pay a fine if you use the agent? Seems better to avoid the fine if possible. Also I have heard 'unofficially' the only TM30 immigration checks is the most recent one before you renew a visa. Any insight into that being true or not?

    This seems like a stupid question bec i saw your videos and you mentioned that one option is to fly to your home country then return... and since an immigration officer will stamp your passport, there will be no need of going to CW, right? Then it will serve as your "report." Is it 7 days before and 7 days after? sorry for this but someone warned me not to do that.

    • @livetravelasia
      @livetravelasia  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you get possibly a 7 day grace period but I never tested it. Once I was late by a day and the officer sorta scolded me not to do it again but I got away with it. Also remember to get a reentry stamp as going out will devoid your visa without a reentry stamp

    This vid doesn't get old! Very handy. Btw, can the visa run be done just before the end of the 3 months or 2 weeks prior ? My stamps says Feb5th so 3 months = around May 5th. Arrived in Cambodia on Apr.26th. Returning today, 29.

    • @livetravelasia
      @livetravelasia  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Visa runs can be done as long as you exit before the end of 3 months and no requirement as to how far before. It's really not a visa run but just a resetting cause you don't need to get another visa. That being said you need to get a reentry stamp. Super critical as that will invalidate your visa if you don't. They have the reentry stamp available right before or after immigration officer depending on which airport

    • @livetravelasia
      @livetravelasia  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really depends. If you want to retire get a retirement visa, just show some kind of money in the bank account to prove you don't have to work. If you want to study get an education visa or if you just have a ton of money and you aren't in retirement age there is even an elite visa that you can literally pay your way into living here and investment visas for those who want to invest a lot of money into Thailand. A visa for almost every purpose and I am not an expert in all of them and the requirements change. But I recommend you come on a tourist visa multiple entry from the Thai embassy in your country and find out which one works for you. As long as you aren't doing anything illegal there is virtually a visa for everyone. Regardless as a foreigner you still have to do this 90 day report for most visas however. If you do make it out here you'll know what this video is about. Its something we all deal with every 90 days

    Is it applicable for Indians also for 90 day stay in Thailand or Bangkok

    • @livetravelasia
      @livetravelasia  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      my understanding is that it's applicable for all non thai-citizens that are on any visa other than the tourist visa in which case you are forced to leave the country in 90 days anyways. However citizens of Myanmar and Cambodia and some other ASEAN countries have a dedicated immigration office for them so that would be the only difference I know of as far as the 90 day report for citizens of different countries. unless you were explicitly told you don't have to do the 90 day report, you would most likely have to do it as the government wants to know where foreigners are residing at all times.

      You need to report it like 15 days before or something but when I mail it in even 20 days or something I still sometimes got a stamp warning me to send it in earlier. Safe bet is to just send the letter in about a week into your last month. I haven't seen anyone get it rejected for sending it too early as of yet. He’s so convinced in the system he keeps telling everyone thailand has the best mail system in the world which even I think is a stretch but he believes it and I can’t prove him wrong either haha

    The immigration policies are insane all over it appears! I'm an expat in the Czech Republic, and will be visiting the Ministry of Interior 4 or 5 times this month alone to sort out standard visa issues. I feel your pain for sure!

      Are you using the iOS app? If not there are issues w compatibility w certain browsers and such it seems? Googling will lead you to forums that talk about it. It could also be because of this corona chaos cause I hear immigration is a mess right now

      @@livetravelasia No app. Tried Chrome, Firefox and got to stage three with Explorer but it froze up. Have tried for three days now. I have to drive over 200 km roundtrip to Issan immigration. Nuts.

      Maueee's Happy Feet haha this is one of the hassles but the benefits definitely outweigh stuff like this. Beurocracy is actually worst in the states so I am used to it. You just gotta learn how to deal w it. Hoping others can avoid the frustration by just learning from my mistake. Knowing what I know now this shouldn’t ever be a problem. :)
