Thank
As a thai. Im glad these stations opened so tourists dont have to deal with those tuktuk taxi mafias. I want all visitors to have best experiences while in my country rather than being scammed by them.
I agree!
I use only MRT and BTS. Best way to explore BKK. well said.
hear hear!
I would say taxi fares in Bangkok are too low but that's not an excuse for them to become a scammer!
@@hereistand2008 their income is not far from other people who has a different job. I know its cheap but thats one of the reasons people keep coming back to Thailand. People, places, Cost and safety. I dont want them to take advantage this way. (my oppinions) plus, these people dont accept local passengers. Dont get me wrong. There are lots of good taxi drivers as well.
Hello foreign friends. I would like to explain to you in the next 4 - 5 years .
Bangkok will have a metro around the city and the maximum length is
470 kilometers .
You can go to every corner of the city.
Bangkok
That will be awesome! Looking forward to it :)
@Mohammad AlEidi They will gradually open it. Next year MRT extension blue line will fully open, BTS extension light green line will open and Bang Sue grand station too.
❤️❤️❤️Thailand is my favorite country in asia... Good foods, beautiful country and amazing cultures...
Absolutely!
One if the most beautiful station on earth ! 😍🇹🇭
Yes!
The whole line of MRT is built by a local company named CH. Karnchang PLC or CK on the stock market of TH. The daughter company of CK named BEM ( BKK express& metro) operates all services and maintainnace as a concessionaire for 30 years from the state agency named MRTA. The whole project was financed by a japanese agency called JBIC with the interest rate of 1.5 % for 15 years loan.
Wow that’s super interesting! Thank you for the clarification
❤️
@@livetravelasia The MRT is constructed by a Thai company, not Japanese. The info should be corrected
LIVE TRAVEL ASIA I am a bit disappointed once i herd some people thought that some construction done by other country especially the big protect.Let’s me explain to you that mostly constructions work in thailand so far all done by local company coz’ we have enought potential to do just some technology that we don’t.
They also use a lot of Siemens equipment trains signaling etc. So I don’t think it’s built by Japanese
Thanks a million for all the great information. Will be travelling to Bangkok for the first time in October.👍😊🇮🇪🇹🇭
THANK YOU for posting this. I am going to Bangkok at the beginning of October and this is very HELPFUL!!
You're welcome!
this is awesome. much needed addition. I was in Bangkok twice this year and this line would have saved me so much time.
Absolutely! It'll definitely give tourists a better experience as it addresses one of the biggest negative experiences which is traffic to the main tourist sites
Thank you for visiting my country, someone who I literally don’t know that pops up in my recommendation lol. I glad you enjoy your time here ! :)
Thank you!
Actually, he is an expat work and lives here in Bangkok, not a tourist.
You guys have taken blogging to a higher level! I loved the way you connected previous videos to the current scene. Plus, nobody else is providing quality usable information to navigate the city. Keep up the good work, I think you're about to expand your subscription base 10 fold! 👍👍🙏🌹
Aww thank you so much for the feedback! I'll have to do more videos like this :)
I love bkk Chinatown now we have a MRT can't wait to check it out another great video guys ThanksI
Yeah I personally was more interested in this connecting Chinatown than the grand palace myself. I am also discovering cool little spots across the river. Wait for our mrt tha phra area walk. I’ll try to get it out by wednesday!
Just saw this. So impressed with the new MRT (and BTS) lines. Kudos on the blog. Quite informative and helpful! Thanks, mate!
You're welcome Mate! Happy new year!
Another great, informative video. Thank u, Ethan!!!
Thank you! You’re so welcome!
I was wondering what to do today on a Saturday and your video pops up. Answered my question bro, thanks a lot. Im heading to da Mr. T!
Haha awesome :)
Beautiful place. Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome!
As usual, extremely Informative and nicely shot - well done, Ethan! 👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks Larry!
Splendid vlog. New MRT lines have made places easier to reach in Bkk and you have shown us how to reach the new stations with ease. Thanks again.
You're welcome!
Ever friendly ethan showing us a new mrt line in bkk, thanks man😊😎👍
Thanks!
Hi Ethan, Darren here again.
I'm so impressed by the effort you put into your videos, particularly this one.
The titles, music and sound. I can see the amount of work involved. Those little funny sound effects you throw in, crack me up.
Seeing these new stations was amazing. The infrastructure there blows my mind. It reminds me of the Tokyo rail system, but better.
I've mentioned before, I was in Bangkok for a month this past May and I can't get it out of my head. I want to go back for longer. I stayed in a hostel private room, but next time I want to stay in a condo for 2-3 months. Figuring out how to find a place is frying my brain though.
Aww thank you so much for this comment. It really brings a smile to my face to see someone realizing the amount of work that goes into these videos but to also ultimately see them enjoy the work makes it all the worth while :)
Great informative video about the new MRT stations in Bangkok Ethan! You're performing a valuable service for us. Thank you! :o)
I am so glad you found it informative!!!
Wow... I'm a Thai but learning about new things in BKK from you again lol (been too busy with work to even notice there are new MRT stations!). Since I live on Ratcahda which is MRT line, this will completely open up Yaowarat (China Town) as a place I can go to now. Finally (when I find the time), I will be able to try all the food there. As someone who mainly drives a car to go anywhere, Yaowarat is usually completely off limits due to traffic and parking. So, this is great news!
Also looking forward to your next video about Tha Phra area .. sounds like a nice new place to go explore for me and my wife.
Absolutely! I live near rama 9 so I feel the same way as well. I have a motorcycle but it's still a pain to go to. Let me know when you go! I am sure you know the local low down on what's supposed to be good there! I've been there half a dozen times and I can't say I've been too impressed but it's mainly cause by the time I get there, I am already not in a mood to want to do anything cause I am so tired and it's hot lol
@@livetravelasia LOL, yeah I can imagine. I have no idea either what is supposed to be good there ... I guess I would have to look it up before I go too. Would be very cool to meet you :) (Not necessarily has to be to Yaowarat...) I'll message you through your Facebook page :)
Good deal!
Great vlog , great timing for me n my son as we r going BBK this coming September 2019 !!!
Perfect timing!
That’s very nice! Thanks for the detailed guide
You’re welcome!
How attractive this new MRT line is ..connecting whole lot of places will eventually lead to rapid gentrification. The interior's of the MRT stations are fabulous...no wonder why people take so many selfies. Good informative vlog !!
Yup! and thank you for the comment!
Good job - Thanks. Will do some exploration of the new areas especially the last station Tha Phra for the long term stay option.
Itsaraphap is prob better for long term stay and the new Bang Wa Station that just opened up this week
Omg!!! So big. Another excuse to go back to Thailand and visit
There are literally new excuses every week. Problem is I don’t have the time to cover them all! Hehe
Well-done! This vid would have been one of the most useful English MRT guides for tourists.
Thank you!
Nice content, Thank You. I'm even more excited to return to BKK this coming November and check out the new MRT stops/neighborhoods. .
You’re welcome!
This video is great. I will be in Bangkok again in November and will definitely be exploring this new MRT line.
Enjoy!
A really helpful video. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for the comment! You're welcome!
Getting Yarowat just got easier ! Nice .. Thank you for sharing
Definitely! You're welcome!
I will be in bkk next weekend and was a great help thanks
You're welcome!
it's about time. I was in Bangkok 25 years ago and the traffic was so bad. Hopefully, we can come back visit again next year.
Yeah this will definitely improve tourist experience twofold I imagine
Very useful video! Thank you for sharing this 😊
Thank you!
Damn!! Why did I only discover your channel only now??? Thanks for the great contents!
You're welcome!!! Any feedback in the comments would be appreciated! See ya around :)
OK there was that dope lid again at the end. Stylish!

I like your live explanations while shooting a video.. Thx for sharing Oppa.👍🏽👍🏽
Aww thank you! You're welcome!
Good job very nice video. I ❤️ Thailand.
keep us updated. 👍😎. Thank you. 👌
Will do! Thank you!
I am super excited to see the new MRT route. Your this video is overloaded with tons of useful information. Khob khun ma khrab for your efforts.
You’re welcome!
Good job. It looks like it's worth going to Bangkok just to see the new MRT stations. :)
If you’re only traveling out here for about a week I can guarantee you these 4 extensions alone will keep you occupied haha
Thanks for great info. Coming to Bangkok and visiting family with my wife Sept. 25th Staying in Sattahip, so going to frequent Bangkok and other places (Koh Chaeng, Ayutthaya, Siem Reap Cambodia, etc.), be there for a couple of months. Can't wait!!
Hope you enjoy!
Thanks for the resources about the MRT! I’ll be staying at khaosan road and closer to Sanam Chai MRT station.
That’s a good idea now w these stops :)
Arce_714 It isn’t good idea because khaosan road is so far from the station. It’s 2 Km far away
Good Video Thank you so much😮😍👍
You’re welcome
Finally! I remember walking from the Grand Palace to the nearest MRT. It was exhausting.
Yeah it really is
hahahaha been there, done that.
Nice presentation! Thanks
You're welcome!
Thanks. Great video with lots of information. I hope to visit Thailand at beginning of November . This information is very useful to me.
You're welcome!

Very good VDO Clip, Thanks
Welcome to #Bangkok#Thailand
Thank you!
I was just in Bangkok early August, and man im so glad to hear about the new MRT. All the time i spent walking from Hua Lamphong station to Yaowarat Road geez...
Haha we recently did that walk and it wasn't fun
How is Bangkok going for frist trip November
Great
It is so much convenient now to get around Bangkok. It is less traffic and fast to get to place with MRT and BTS. Every time I stay in Bangkok I always chose to stay close to MRT or BTS station. Because it us convenient to travel around.
My feelings exactly :)
Great video! Can’t wait to move here
Definitely connects the city!
Amazing MRT Stations, really nice
Glad you enjoyed them. They really are works of marvels :)
Great video with lots of info
Thank you!
On 24/08 they are opening up 2 more stations, Bang Pai and Bang Wa. Bang Wa station is an interchange with BTS.
Yes actually planning on going to Bang Wa and doing a video next week!
Excellent Vlog my friends....
Thank you!
Didn’t get a chance to visit China Town when I was in Bkk few weeks back..... with this MRT it will be a lot more convenient now when we return
Absolutely!
I did check out Chinatown in May. Thanks to "Live Travel Asia" tip, I took the free ferry from Icon Siam, got off at Ratchawong pier and walked about 10 minutes to Yaowarat Road/Chinatown.
Oh this is awesome!
Thank you!
I must say Mayu has very nice hair. Thanks for the video by the way, will be checking out that area on my next visit. .
Thank you and Mayu will appreciate that comment btw :)
This is the first time on these on travel vlogs that I have someone with such style and grace.
Great vlog.
Thank you!
Good job on this video. I’m Thai been living in LA for close to 40 years but go back every year. Would love to meet up. I’ll be there this February.
Can’t promise I’ll be free or in the country but definitely let me know
Thank you
You’re welcome!
Your chanel gets better and better in every new vdo.
Thank you! Be sure to watch our Kanchanaburi video I am releasing Saturday. It's going to be my most technically best video I've made. Hopefully the story and content is also entertaining as well :)
@@livetravelasia Can't wait!!
Thank....will go....
Definitely! Thank you!
Nice!! Well done. I'm working close to Silom so MUST have a look. And the new MRT is not always underground - BTS like - Albeit I forgot whether some other stops are alike. Thanks once more to the director and technician/model.;-)
(Mayu "the technician" because I take it she did the timelapse at the very beginning). Among other techy stuff.
Hehe I actually used a gimbal and automated it. Mayu was off somewhere getting bored of me fiddling with the gadgets haha
This MRT line looks so cool. Makes me want to return to Bangkok. My wife and I were there last month. Our first time there. Had a good time but we also fell for that taxi scam because the guy seemed cool. But then he kept saying “I take you there but you look another place for me!” 😂 Now I know what to expect in Bangkok so a second visit will be much much better. By the way Ethan, in reference to your comments a while back on Singapore. I totally get what you meant and 100% agree. We went there after visiting Bangkok. Anyway, excellent video! 😁
Yeah my first visit to Bangkok was a whirlwind too and it took me months of living here to really find its true charm. Hope to share more of it with y’all!
LIVE TRAVEL ASIA Thank you. I’m definitely still fascinated with Bangkok and looking forward to visiting again and again. We never made it to Chinatown so that’s a must next time! 👍🏽
Yes it’s definitely worth a visit. First I thought it would be gimmicky but was I wrong haha
nikorn chinakul 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣... ummmm why? And ummm no! 😂😂😂
Would be extremely glad to have you return soonest!
Great Video 👍🎞🎥💻✅🇹🇭🙏
Thank yoU!
Thanks you from thailland😘😘
You're welcome!
Nice video and very informative
Thank you!
360P resolution? Those new subway stops sound amazing. So convenient.
sorry it went public without processing for some reason. Once it processes, it'll be 4k
Very good views in these places
absolutely!
The best station very good
Thank you!
Meanwhile in the U.S. we are using infrastructure which is state of the art ...... for 1970.
We are getting so far behind on infrastructure (and even just maintenance of what already exists) it's ridiculous.
The car lobby would not want to push public transportation haha. Not gonna happen in America
@@livetravelasia Public Transportation is the dwelling of the mentally ill and bath-shy in the U.S. it's why the "common folk" don't wan't to use it even if it's an option.
Yeah I used to take the bus when I was young and idk why it smelt so bad....
Oil and Car company have pay a lot to lobbyist. A few months ago , California governor cancels high speed rail. They want people to buy cars and gas.
@@sundayevening161 partially true, but there is also tremendous hurdles with private property rights (which are taken seriously here unlike China and other countries) where High Speed Rail going through private property will never get the seal of approval.
Support, one of your Hong Kong fans
Wish you the best !
I welcome these mrt lines as cheaper than the other transports in bkk😊😎
very informative
Thank you! Put a lot of work into it so this is music to my ears!

Thank you for the video. Is there any app that allows us to put in the place and let us know which public transportation to take?
SoBeatiful❤❤❤
Yes it is!
Welcome to bangkok😊
Thank you!
Cool! We've been away for 3 months. This will be nice. We got caught in the rain over near Yaowarat, got a tuk-tuk to Hua Lamphong. He dropped us at the Wat Mangkon station. Needless to say, wasn't functional then...
It'll definitely make your vacation far more enjoyable
Good tirps.
Thank you!
Your video is very interesting. I like the architecture of this new MRT very much. I'm Thai but still, don't have a chance to visit there. Anyway, as far as I know, this MRT route built by local companies, not Japanese.
Yes I was misinformed. Didn’t realize this particular route wasn’t done by the Japanese. Thank you for the clarification
Wow.
Thank you!
Thank
You're welcome!
Hello I have a question how you know which station should exit to get to grand palace do you use google map or any other map
I always stay near Asoke Station!
You're making the right choice!
Yiammmm.
Best transit in Asean!
YUP!
So you have to alight at Hua Lamphong station in order to travel further to Wat Mangkon station, Thks
Thank you for the update
TQ for the info on MRT,but I wont go to Bangkok till early November. Its the raining seasons in Thailand now.
November is when the bad air starts tho. It's rainy season but not too bad. It's only like 10-30 minutes a day
Nice
Thank you :)
I'm really pumped to try out these new stations, so much easier to get to Chinatown and the Grand Palace.
BTW please provide contact details for your girlfriends single sisters! Lol
Haha no single sisters. Married w 3 kids lol
Congratulations Thailand, at last you got MRT to Yaowarat, have been to Thailand for several times, with this new startegic transportation give us tourist better access and choices. 👍
Great and friendly country i ever visit. Looking forward for your Bullet Train from Thailand to China.
Haha yes once it’s completed I imagine that’ll be how I make my first visit there
LIVE TRAVEL ASIA Totally agree, nowdays traveling with bullet train sometimes more convenient and faster than plane, i think Thailand have one of the well operated Tourist Management after Singapore.
Like to see more interesting areas beyond tourists areas.
I did a walking video of a local area at the furthest end of this extension that’s over a very scenic river canal as well as many other videos
