Sweetheart, I took care of my grandmother just as you are. When the hospice nurse came over, she explained to me that my grandmother just as yours would have some spurts of energy, but she will begin to need more and more sleep that should be uninterrupted. She also handed me five pamphlets.” The End of Life Guidelines series by Barbara Karnes” I invite you to read this. I think it will help you to understand the dying process which I call the “ transcendence process” as I truly don’t believe our souls die, just our bodies. Anyway, I hope you read the pamphlets, not only to understand your grandmother, but will explain the grief process you will be going through as well. ❤
You are the sweetest darlin ever. My Dad passed away 6 years ago to Alzheimer's. It was so hard to see my daddy slip away little by little. I lived so far from him, i didnt get to visit often. You are such an angel to your Nan....she is well taken care of. Your voice is so sweet to her. Some of the videos ive seen you have such silly chats going back and forth, you really make her happy, And comfortable. She knows your there...Your Nan is still in there. Love her gently ~ cherish the moments you do have with her. Thank you for sharing her journey. I am so glad that you have such a self care routine for yourself. God Bless Angel....
Jess, your doing such a fantastic job, my nan died at 50 with dementia, in those days she had to go in a home i had been born with diabetes and the Drs were concerned for our mum, our mum now has short term memory loss, but we are still able to do her care and shes fantastic, stay strong love, your doing an amazing job ❤❤
@@tashaax1993xanimalloverx are you on something telling someone you love them and that they are a delight doesn’t worry anyone. Have you worked with dementia I have for 31 years !

Gosh this hits very close to home. This was me with my Dad very recently. Some days he was so chatty and other days he just slept with barely any awake time. It was in this fragile state of palliative care that I heard my Dad say I love you to me, something he never did when i was growing up. Your Nan is so sweet, and tells you all the time how much she loves you ❤ Thats so precious. Stay close to her Jess, its such an emotional time but one you will always hold close to your heart. Im very close to my Nan too and even though she also has dementia now at almost 95 she knows she loves and trusts me which is so special. Sending you strength xxx
Jess you’re doing an amazing job looking after your Nan. My Nan had dementia it’s a terrible disease but you are doing a great job. Sending love to you and your Nan ❤
Aww bless your nan, she’s very tired today. It’s such a worry for you and I completely understand your feeling about what changes may lie ahead regarding your nan. Do as you’re doing, take each day, enjoy every minute and laugh lots. You’ve got this 😊. Bless your lovely nan…look after each other ❤
Enjoy the worthful time with your grandma ❤ My mum also had dementia and in the end she stopped eating and drinking... the beautiful time together will past incredible fast 😢
8:00 my father also has Alzheimer's and he is the same. He is bedridden for 9 month now. He usually sleeps at least till noon. Sometimes he doesn't even wake up when we are changing his diapers in the morning. It's usually in the afternoon where he is awake, but not every day the same. There are some days where he wakes up only around 5 pm. At 7 we give him supper and he then sleeps again usually at 8 or 9 pm.
I am so glad you spending so much time with your Nan. You will cherish these videos FOREVER! She is very blessed to have you, you can definitely see and feel the love you have for each other!! These videos are so wonderful!! God bless you both! Love, from Georgia USA.
