You definitely should read more, and I do recommend the audio books with Hugh Fraser if you have them available to you.

How exciting! At least with those, American or British, you won’t have to worry about any censorship. I love Miss Marple! 💛

Great find. Agatha is one of my favorites! I've read most of them but not all. I might should put that reading project back onto my TBR goals.

How exciting - I have just got some from eBay - rereading them all- love them. I think I nearly have all the collection now and a lot of them are from the 1970s - I love the covers

I really enjoy having these old covers as well. I have a couple with the newest covers, and they are lovely as well, but there is just something about these vintage ones that make me happy :)

The changed titles is so annoying 😂 But what a treasure! Congratulations 🎉 😊

That's a great find, they are in great condition (well all but two. lol). I notice your cat is cheering you. Yes, that's a strange thing about changing titles.
I'm also an Agatha Christie fan (although I didn't read many of them yet, but I did see most of the adaptations). I will be reading two Parker Pyne short stories in August for the GarbAugust reading event. This is a pulp fiction reading event, and I love a good pulp story. I don't consider Agatha Christie as a pulp writer, though. But she started her carrier out writing for the pulp magazines (I think she wrote for the Blue Book pulp magazine, but I could be mistaken). Two Parker Pyne short stories were first published in the Nash's Pall Mall Magazine. This wasn't a pulp magazine, like in the proper definition of pulp magazine. It had literary stories and poetry but also pulp stories. And Agatha Christie was influenced by the pulps early in her carrier anyway. So I think these two Parker Pyne short stories are fair game for GarbAugust.
I think it's Albert Finney as Poirot on the cover. I think he only played in one Poirot film.

My cat is always desperate to be in my videos 😜 Very interesting to hear about the pulp connection, I have to check out that event.

The title changes can be annoying, I kind of get changing "sparkling cyanide" the American market can be skittish with words like cyanide. And of course the origonal title of "and then there were none" which you can't even say anymore.
The ones that bother me are Sara Blædel's books that got new titles like "The silent woman" instead of the far superior "call me princess".

I can definitely get behind changing titles that were acceptable back in the day but are offensive today, I don't think I would buy a copy with the older titles of Then there were none.
