I love that Hillary supports and encourages you. You guys make an amazing team! Btw, love the new to you manure spreader and tractor. They have a great home now. Thanks as always Pete and Hillary. From this crazy Goat lady in WNY.
Yea, I seen Pete slip that 20 behind his back. When he says " Hillary is going to sell this afternoon" Isn't that code for shopping? 😆 🤣 😂 Pete couldn't a more supportive wife than her.
A farm lady through and through, Pete finds ways to earn a good living and Hillary feels safe so she can encourage Pete. That is how it is supposed to work.
An old timer once told me never have your mouth open if you're on a open cab tractor spreading manure on a windy day, I'll deff take his word for it! Love the videos and the new tractor and spreading set up Pete
I am laughing at myself. I see manure in the title and I got all happy and excited. I do believe that manure is now my new best videos. I love that you put it back from where it came. It feels good to watch you do this, Pete. I am always happy to go for a ride with you and a load of poop. Good stuff. xo Claire
Pete, it's a good thing you're able to do most of the labor work yourself, you save so much money. Good for you. You both are so inspiring, thank u both.
Pete, remember to pull the shutoff cable out about 3/4 of the way when starting the 756 cold. This changes the injection timing making the engine start easier. Push the shutoff cable back in, when the motor is running smoothly, and you are on your way. Your 756 is in a lot better condition than mine, and I find I only need ether when the temperature is below 20° F. 😎
I do the same, I talk to myself when doing batteries "positive to positive" and no two negatives don't necessarily make a positive except in multiplication. Ha! Shout out to the Millennial Farmer.
I love the videos with your new 756. My dad in the late 60's factory ordered a brand new 856. About a year later he put a M&W turbo on it. He always said that in his entire farming carreer the 856 was his favorite tractor. I agree. I finally sold it to another farmer in the mid 2000's when I retired. I miss the sound of that work horse. His tractor lineup: McCormick 15-30?; F14; F30; H; 660; 856; 1566; 5488; 5220; JD2020; TD6; D4 Cat.
Hillary and you make the perfect pair , wonderful to see how you compliment each other the way you do . When a team pulls together their is nothing that can stand in the way to success.
Thanks for another reminder of a great childhood memory; spreading manure. I grew up on a small beef farm in southwestern Pennsylvania, and, like you cleaning the barn and spreading manure on the fields was an early spring ritual for my father. Unfortunately, another early spring ritual was my grandmother looking forward to stripping the beds and hanging everything on the clothes line for that "fresh" spring smell. Well, as you can imagine, it never failed, she'd start early getting the wash done and on the line only to have dad (who worked midnight shift in a Latrobe steel mill), come home and decide to spread the manure. It was always a bit of a "smelly" subject for them. And, like Hilary, I'm the one nudging my hubby to "buy it"! Best wishes for some better weather.
When we bought our retirement place the main part was an overgrown agriculture field that was at least 6 ft high mangle of weeds, shrubs, volunteer trees, etc. The first few cuttings I used a borrowed open station tractor and brush cutter. In the 90 degree plus heat it really beat me to death not to mention the dehydration even when drinking as much liquids as possible that took me days to recover. Then it came time to buy my own tractor. I'm thinking of all the upcoming expenses for moving to the new place and was trying to minimize cost. So I was looking for open station tractors. Normally I'm the spender and my wife is the money miser. I'm talking to her about all my options to save on the tractor and had ruled out a Cab tractor due to the extra cost. She said with my lack of tolerance to heat I really needed to buy a cab tractor. 😳 When my tight as a tick wife says to spend money it only takes one time to get the message. Boy I'm sure glad I listened to her. I married way above me and better than I deserve without a doubt.
Once when looking at a 656, an international buddy of mine told me that the 56 series wouldn't start if you walked past them with an icecream cone. Always chuckle when I think of that!😅
Great video Pete I love that you talk to your animals and I also love that you use machines that are older than most the fact you have them working is tantamount to all your hard work looking forward to next video x
It’s always fun to get a new toy! Buyers remorse is a thing but it’s counteracted by the fun and the satisfaction of making work a little easier and efficient. Congratulations on the “new to you” tractor & spreader. Isn’t there a saying, The more (tractors) the merrier?
I think that is one of the hardest things about farming. Prioritizing what needs to be done next without succumbing to doing the easy job at the expense of not getting the difficult projects done. It's easy to look busy, much harder to buckle down and do what has to be done, regardless of how monotonous or strenuous it is.
You got a quarter million subscribers because it is so nice to click on and feel relax enter our reality. no politics, no invest, no international BS, no inflation doom, no war doom. just relax and smile. love it.
You are a wee bit over-tractored. My uncle in South Dakota had a 756 as his primary tractor for a number of years. He farmed 600 acres including around 200 acres of corn and soybeans and the 756 would pull a four 14 inch bottom plow. He also had two Farmall M's, one with a mounted loader and the other for more general use (it could mount a four row cultivator for use on contoured hilly fields. The rear cultivator for the 765 would wipe out rows when used on the contour. When my family visited the farm I would ride along, and in later years occasionally drive one of the tractors. Your channel brings back fond memories.
With the larger poo spreader, you should have 40% fewer loads to take to the field. That also equates to less fuel burned spreading that poo! It should take probably at least 35% of the time off of spreading too.
That new tractor was a good buy...I really enjoy watching you work on it and explaining all...Thanks for a great video again....good luck on snow coming !!
Pete, thank you for going out of your way to create and share your experiences on your farm. It is a pleasant part of my time online that inspires me, takes me back to my childhood and continues to give me hope for my own plans and aspirations in agriculture.
Another great video Pete. Can't wait to hear the cows grazing in the fields. It would be awesome to have a live stream cam setup in the filed and just let it go while they are out. I'd stream it all the time just listening to them and nature around them.
I loved the Millennial Farmer refrance, he actually doesn't live to far from me. My dad's 806 has trouble starting in 40 or below weather too. Glad to see that there are things that we have in common, between the viewers and you I mean. thanks for sharing!!
I enjoy your videos, it must be a good feeling to have the tractor back ups. Hilary is a doll she’s right the new tractor is a great compliment to your collection. You should get the whole family on all your tractors and have a tractor train. At least have them lined up for a photo shoot.
Brrr...snow in April. I live in south Tx . But I grew up in that northern climate. I always loved the snow , especially when school was called off.. But when I had to join the grown ups & go to work, It lost its excitement .
If your wife finds out how much fun it is to run that 756 you might need another tractor,LOL.Nice save on the spreader slat bar.It usually breaks the side chain, so yours cant be too bad. When spreading in springtime or anytime it dips below freezing at night, run a pitchforks tines under each slat in the bed of the spreader and if they run on a rail underneath hit them with a hammer to break free if froze down.Last load for the day in that kind of weather let it run empty a few revolutions of the apron to clean off the buildup on the side chain links to prevent frozen buildup.Good loading technique, many farmers dammage their spreaders by dumping loads in from the sky. Why?ask them, but its a problem. If you spread really tough manure with alot of hay which spreads hard ,dont load higher than the beaters. It wont hang over the beaters and you will get fewer clumps. Most spreaders are made for dairy type manure, not beef feedlot manure but guys like us can get by fine. Also put a pin in your hitchpin if you dont.As the spreader unloads the hitch looses its tongue weight with the manure load behind the spreader axel. This sooner or later will pump out a hitchpin. The spreader seems to function fine and it sure is nice to work with good equipment. Its good to see they put decent batteries on the 756 to sell it ,even if wrong. The 6 volts may have cost more but personally I think double twelves is an improvement, once hooked up properly as you did.Its a pretty easy mistake to make.Sharp eye to catch that.
Looks like you got a nice tractor there Pete are you planning on taking the loader off the other tractor and putting your new one? And the poor man’s way of making a slop gate. Is we just take a piece of plywood cut it with the manure spreader and cut two handles in it and get off and pull the plywood out so it does not fall over the driveway in the road it works well that’s what we do. You may whont to try that
Well Pete, I really enjoyed this one!! Loved your reference to Zack Johnson, the Millennial Farmer. I like his channel too. The new tractor seems to be working out REAL well. Especially with the correct voltage. I "converted" a Farmall Model C to 12 volt alternator. The starter did not like that, but the 12 volt lights were wonderful. You really have your poop together when it comes to spreading it!! When you showed that spreader tossing it out I was confused. I thought you had snapped your fingers and put us in Washington DC with all the BS flying around there. Then, I realized this is GOOD BS, no politics. Thanks gain Pete for some good grins. Look at all them chicken sammiches!!
I think you should do that snap the fingers thing more often. Zach uses it a bunch and he gets all sorts of stuff done in a hurry. The season in MN is much shorter so you gotta hurry and get things done.
"Always sorry to see cattle go, never sorry to see pigs go." My dad used to say almost the same thing. He did say, however, that he made more money with less work with the pigs.
Another great video Pete, well we beat out the snow on that one. we were supposed to get 6-8 inches. but it never happened at our level at the home. but 2 miles away up a little in elevation got just that 6 inches. Well you know what they say about the weather up here in the Northeast, if you don't like it ! Wait a minute. ! thanks for a great "Tale of Po-op!"ECF
The manure spreader spreads well and the tractor was a great addition to the farm. Now you need a rollbar and canopy to keep the sun off you while haying. Nice finds at the auction.
Being a gardener I'm really looking forward to you and Hillary preparing the soil and planting what ever it might be and as to who is responsible for weeding and watering the garden. I'm sure there will be lots of tomatoes and peppers. Can't wait.
Very sharp tractor glad you were able to get it. That New Holland Spreader we had that issue with the floor chain on ours but we ended up having to replace the entire floor chain. Make sure if you ever have to do that to get it on the right way or it will eat your drive gear teath off.
What a great video. :)) Even your jokes were good, Pete. :))) You even made me bust out laughing at one point. You look so happy. :) You and Hilary both, look very happy. You are both such a pleasure to spend a bit of time with as you go about your many routines.
It never ceases to amaze me how I find your videos so entertaining. I am watching a video about what I do every day. Although our main livestock is sheep.
Looks like your new purchases are just what the Doctor ordered...and you all got knocked with snow as you predicted. Chicks look great and you are back on target, good deal. Have a great day.
Good video, good to see the 756 is probably going to be a good tractor. And the New Holland spreader, those are good turd hursts. Now the finger snapping, that made me laugh! Zach probably appreciated that. Thanks once again
I can see how much time that new tractor and spreader are for you. That new tractor sounds so smooth and powerful. I can see the happiness in your face when you are out working the tractor, Obviously a good addition to your farm. We appreciate that you consider Hillary when you make these decisions. Looking forward to watching you work through your long "spring list". Best wishes, Jim Robinson
Hey Pete I have a 706 with 310 D it has a "cold start" setting on the Bosh fuel pump you pull the engine stop out and let in go back in about a 1/8-1/4 of an inch this is to give it a shot of fuel to the cylinders. I have had this tractor for years and has always started right up without starting fluid.
Always waiting for the next episode my buddy dave got us hooked on this over a year ago and have not missed one since. We have passed this on to others who are also hooked on seeing you guys also. Hope to meet you soon at the farmers market. Ron n Linda 👍
Pete, you have a GOOD wife there, in Hilarie!! Next vid, we need a Peanut fix too. Glad you were able to get new chicks in a pretty timely manner... congrats.
Great job as usual. Please consider doing a video that combines the various annual or repetitive regular maintenance items you need to do to keep the equipment functioning properly. Include getting the haybine with the various grease fittings and the cutter bar sharpening and adjustments for proper cutting. I have to believe that a lot of viewers have no idea how much work and time goes into keeping machines up and running properly.
Pete, you're going to have to build a taller workshop with more head room so you can work on those bigger tractors. Nice 756, our 966 was always hard to start when it got colder too as was our JD 4020 and we didn't even try to start the 986 in the winter, we just used the 460 gas to clean that driveway.
Just watched a lot of your videos on your channel. You are a great guy. Lots of positivity! I dream of a manure spreader like yours, I still spread manure by hand =)
Keeping all the camera falls in the edited video but not addressing them as if they’re perfectly normal and intentional is hilarious. Well done.
Nice
They always crack me up for the same reason.
Dude - I was gonna say exactly the same thing.
happy wife, happy life, & its always good to see Hilary's smile, thanks for sharing
I love that Hillary supports and encourages you. You guys make an amazing team! Btw, love the new to you manure spreader and tractor. They have a great home now. Thanks as always Pete and Hillary. From this crazy Goat lady in WNY.
a true farm team, yea, makes life worth living , Pete is mightily fortune
Yea, I seen Pete slip that 20 behind his back.
When he says " Hillary is going to sell this afternoon"
Isn't that code for shopping?
😆 🤣 😂
Pete couldn't a more supportive wife than her.

Pete , you and Hillary have a great reality show , worthy of watching every day ! Thanks for all of your efforts my friend!
7:45 The fingersnap works great 😆
Thanks to Zach Johnson (MN Millennial Farmer) 😅
And congratulations on 1/4 million subscribers! That is just absolutely fantastic I'm extremely happy for you guys
Pretty cool! I have to pinch myself sometimes...
@@JustaFewAcresFarm yah, congrats….if you have to repeat some jokes for the newbies, cool.
Cool Congrats Hilarie and Pete on 250k.
You folks do my heart good. Happy Spring 😁
An old timer once told me never have your mouth open if you're on a open cab tractor spreading manure on a windy day, I'll deff take his word for it! Love the videos and the new tractor and spreading set up Pete
That's a no-- hitter.
I loved the millennial farmer reference Pete. Zach is quite the character. Him, The Welkers and Brian Brown.
ALL on MY list of favorites too!! Great people all.
The finger snap was great! Pete, after a few more practices you will be better at it.
You’re the best Pete! Never thought I would be excited to watch someone put manure on the fields. 😂
It's awesome the way you and Hillary get along !! Good to see her in your video..
I am laughing at myself. I see manure in the title and I got all happy and excited. I do believe that manure is now my new best videos. I love that you put it back from where it came. It feels good to watch you do this, Pete. I am always happy to go for a ride with you and a load of poop. Good stuff. xo Claire
Couldn't have put it better myself. The last line was hilarious.
Steve, you make me smile. Thanks for writing. I am so glad you would share-ride with a load of poo too. xo Claire
I'm not ready to ride on the wagon butt, (pun intended) I'll ride shotgun to watch the poo fly..
Oh the aroma of spring..... the irony of the iron.....
You guys made me realize that farmers are truely "the salt of the earth".
You are truly blessed with your wife! Y’all bring joy to me! Can’t wait for the next video
Pete, it's a good thing you're able to do most of the labor work yourself, you save so much money. Good for you.

I do the same, I talk to myself when doing batteries "positive to positive" and no two negatives don't necessarily make a positive except in multiplication. Ha! Shout out to the Millennial Farmer.
Your wife & you complete each other perfectly and it seems you have so much fun together 😉

Thanks folks. You are in our top 3 channels. Love the variety and especially the smiles and jokes.

Glad you got your chicks.. love the new tractor...
The classical music playing while the machine is slinging manure.........brought a big smile.thank you!
You guys are so blessed! And Hilary's a gem! This is so much better than being an architect:)
Love watching your videos!!! You guys are such hard working folks! But look like you really enjoy what you do!!!
I really like 👍🏻 that joke !
Once when looking at a 656, an international buddy of mine told me that the 56 series wouldn't start if you walked past them with an icecream cone. Always chuckle when I think of that!😅
Love the snapping of the fingers to get your work done. Millennial Farmer Zach needs to take lessons from you . . . LoL!
You spread manure, while the animals make more. Farm life is all about chores. Well, as long as Ezra and Hillary are happy, it's all good
Thanks Pete
Annoyed Pete says no howdy piggers for you wanna be escape artists today. Great dad jokes, laughs and guffaws for one and all!
I haven't been so excited about spreading manure around since I was a toddler.
😂
This was a real "crappy" video;) Love your channel. I'm looking forward to seeing you getting the 756 in the fields for hay season.
Pete, you are truly a fortunate man. Lord bless you and your family.

Having watched many of your videos, I've always wondered why you always appear so upbeat. Seeing Hillery gives me the answer. She is priceless.
Oh my lord, classical music and flinging manure. What a combo. I wish I could give two thumbs up.
Classical music as the manure flies!!!
Thank goodness for your new manure spreader! Hello to both of you. Hope the snowstorm isn't too bad. Be well.
Man Pete, that MD is one nice looking tractor, bravo on a job well done.
That new tractor was a good buy...I really enjoy watching you work on it and explaining all...Thanks for a great video again....good luck on snow coming !!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Shell fish!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Great day, Thank you for sharing.
Pete, thank you for going out of your way to create and share your experiences on your farm. It is a pleasant part of my time online that inspires me, takes me back to my childhood and continues to give me hope for my own plans and aspirations in agriculture.
I call it plug season, you just gotta keep pluggin away at all the chores till they’re done! Then it starts all over again, glad it’s a labor of love!
Another great video Pete. Can't wait to hear the cows grazing in the fields. It would be awesome to have a live stream cam setup in the filed and just let it go while they are out. I'd stream it all the time just listening to them and nature around them.

Congratulations Pete on going over 250K subscribers!!!! Been with you since you were at 9K and enjoy every video!!!👍👍👍👍👍
ALWAYS enjoy your videos, Pete!!! Just remember what my dad told me when spreading manure......"Always drive INTO the wind!!!" ;o)
I enjoy your videos, it must be a good feeling to have the tractor back ups. Hilary is a doll she’s right the new tractor is a great compliment to your collection. You should get the whole family on all your tractors and have a tractor train. At least have them lined up for a photo shoot.
Love watching this Pete, so relaxing and how normal good people live.
Country is in blood I guess.

I LIKE THE WAY YOU AND HILLARY HANDLE,I MEAN ANSWER CERTAIN COMMENTS! VERY WISE 🚜
That new combo of 756 and New Idea spreader seems to be working pretty well, good luck with them. JimM
Four o'clock at the Golden Coral....🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just solved your coffee problem!!!
Glue a magnet to the bottom of your coffee cup! It will stick nicely to that flat fender of the 756
Nice to see you and Hilary happy with your new tractor!
Hey Pete I got a 706 tractor for Christmas. I am 9 years old. Me and my dad love your Chanel.I love you Pete!!!!
Looks like you got a nice tractor there Pete are you planning on taking the loader off the other tractor and putting your new one? And the poor man’s way of making a slop gate. You and Zach are my favorite farmers on you tube. I like when he does the sound overs for Ana the Shepard taking you should do that
"Always sorry to see cattle go, never sorry to see pigs go." My dad used to say almost the same thing. He did say, however, that he made more money with less work with the pigs.
the music with the fast-forward is just brilliant!
More! More!
Pete, thank you for sharing! I really enjoyed the ending, with the Summer Symphony playing over the time lapse of scenes from the farm.
Congratulations on surpassing the 250,000 subscribers mark.
The manure spreader spreads well and the tractor was a great addition to the farm. Now you need a rollbar and canopy to keep the sun off you while haying. Nice finds at the auction.
That tractor is a BEAST! Look forward to the farm work!
Nice to see you today Pete and your lovely wife " Keep on Truckin" thats all we can do.
I wanted to commend you for sticking it out all day for the 756. Nice purchase! The spreader is very nice too. Thank you for the video!
Being a gardener I'm really looking forward to you and Hillary preparing the soil and planting what ever it might be and as to who is responsible for weeding and watering the garden. I'm sure there will be lots of tomatoes and peppers. Can't wait.

The most AUTHENTIC CONTENT ON TH-cam.THANK YOU.
Thanks Pete for all you and your family do to run the family farm.
Looks like your new purchases are just what the Doctor ordered...and you all got knocked with snow as you predicted. Chicks look great and you are back on target, good deal. Have a great day.
Love this show. Hard working man and woman farming the right way
Good video, good to see the 756 is probably going to be a good tractor. And the New Holland spreader, those are good turd hursts. Now the finger snapping, that made me laugh! Zach probably appreciated that. Thanks once again
Thanks for the explanation on the batteries!
The perfect couple. You complement each other so well 🤩🤩🤩
Pete, you have a GOOD wife there, in Hilarie!! Next vid, we need a Peanut fix too. Glad you were able to get new chicks in a pretty timely manner... congrats.
I just love y'all. The Benny Hill had me laughing so hard. Your channel is one of my favorites.
Love the show - interesting and enjoyable. I always tell your jokes to my wife. We always laugh.
Keep your plough blade shiny.
That new tractor is sure a good worker.
Just watched a lot of your videos on your channel. You are a great guy. Lots of positivity! I dream of a manure spreader like yours, I still spread manure by hand =)
