Hi Pete, I've enjoyed watching your TH-cam all winter long. I grew up (1950's-1960's) on a small Dairy Farm in the Red River Valley of Minnesota. My Dad owned 160 acres, we milked 27-30 Holstein cows, grade A milk, 200-300 chickens and sold eggs, we grew all the small grains and corn, my Dad purchased a new Allis Chalmers WD-45 in 1955 and all the AC implements that attached to it (Cultivators, tandem disk, mower, 3-bottom plow, round bailer, etc.), so I grew up enjoying the cows and running the farm equipment. In my teen years I worked for two farmers who owned Farmall B's, Farmall 400, McCormick Deering WD-9, F-12 and F-20, and AC WD-45. They were also Dairy farmers, so I bailed a lot of hay, milked a lot of cows and cultivated a lot of corn and spread a lot of Cow fertilizer. Farming was always my first love, but the Lord Jesus Christ called me into the ministry, so I've been an Assembly of God ordained minister since the early 1970's and now that I am in my '70s, I am retired, but still reflect on my wonderful heritage of growing up on a Farm. Keep up the good old days on your good old tractors, I enjoy watching.
Listening to those tractor sure brings me back to my youth of growing up on a farm sure do miss it one of the best lives you can have God bless and take care
My Grandfather had a 100 acre farm in ,Horry County, South Carolina. He raised tobacco and cotton. Every summer we go to the farm and visit for two weeks. Those were the best memories with my Grandma and my mother’s family. Every fruit tree imaginable, any kind melons, vegetable gardens, fresh eggs, hogs, cattle and cows. Mules to ride. I loved it.
I really enjoy your humor, and the realism of your farm and videos. This is true small scale farming that most people could accomplish, infact it is a dream of mine. Farming with my grandpa like you farm was a highlight of my growing up and young adult life.
I’ve looked at huge number of restored tractors and, they have nothing on your restorations. The difference is, you use your tractors for what they were made for. Fabulous work and preservation of farm equipment. Thanks for yet another super video.
Thank you Pete. By the way, I restored/own a 1939 McCormick-Deering T-20. That's the tracked version of your 1939 F-20. It has the same 4-cylinder gas engine and I believe the same transmission. But, of course, no steering wheel.

Hi Pete. Just watched your video about how you took a six month leave from your job and eventually quit. Good for you sir. I was in the same boat. I was a Manager at a small Oil exploration and production company. I was not happy, but they paid me crazy well. I was 57 and miserable. Covid hit and they let me go. Best thing that ever happened. I retired at 57 and never looked back. I had saved my whole life and was more than ready. Just never realized it. So happy for you to find your passion at a young age. Best of luck to you! You did a great job, as always. She sure is a beautiful old tractor! The oldest one I ever worked around was a Hart-Parr. It hasld steel wheels and chain system that was part of the steering and a big magneto. Used it in the Spring to spread bank run gravel on the lane that went to the back of the farm. That was back when I was 15 and growing up in Southwestern Ohio. Those were good years. We didn't have much money, but we didn't know it.

Love the Farmall you don't see many of those here in the UK when I left school in 1966 I learned to drive on our David Brown Crop Master petrol and TVO with handle start, your videos remind me of my old days
The memory's return! The small spreaders and tractors. We had a bigger operation and farther to haul. We had 4 spreaders like yours only new hollands, pulled by 2 JD B's a JD A and Farmall H. Every spring after school and Saturdays. My brother I and two niebor kids drove the spreaders and did did the loading with a JD 70 with a farmhand loader.

Love the comment about how you can make your farmall sound like a deere. I believe it was a previous video but still the nostalgia runs deep here as I grew up where John deere did and now my boyfriend sells deere parts. I love how much info you can cram into a few minute video. You and your fam are an inspiration to me and the family farm.

reminds me of how i grew up. Lived on a 300 acre dairy farm and used all old equipment. I grew up driving a Hydro 656, an H an M and a 856. We also had a 1456, 1066 and a 966. Great memories

Also at 5:00 when you're cleaning the spreader, the Farmall H or M are nice because you can carry a pitchfork on the left side of the tractor right on the clutch rod and rest the handle by the Left hand light housing. I do enjoy watching these videos so much 😆

@Pete - MMO - its Sulphur amongst other things. Sulphur cleans up lots of things when burned in an engine or added to lubricants. Technically Pete - that Farmall is still feeding the world, because of you. Well done.
Yes remember old first tractor rebuilt Pete :) my late Uncle Jack had one those tractor since he had 1939 to 2008 when past away age 86 he restored before he past away 2008 and heard it in Antique Tractor Club Building too ! Plus Tractor Shows & Shine too by one grandson also machinery too he used to back farm days ! Also you said fields how set up on Farm Pete :) my late Dad & Uncle ran had V shape plus had river ran there even old Narrow Single Lane Road and even old Railroad had Tracks plus signs plus the telegraph also with Station Shack for Railroad called Grand Trunk was only operation from 1820 to 1950 then government cut out business! Funny part the track has spot for water also some coal for Old Steam and Coal fire trains plus old Farm tractors were used before I was alive in 1880 to 1950 years! Plus my dad and uncle one sister had same too thing of Train went thru her farm to back years ago but now Snowmobile trail too !

Love watching low input low output farming ala my parents. You make dad seem modern. He farmed hay and oats ( binder being an antique) fodder but animal lots were more modernised. Two dexta tractors one with a millmaster loader. The power loader you use is more modern but the 135 massey could do so much more work. Dung was a barrel spreader which replaced a similar unit to yours. Our baler was a hayliner ( older version) ,our mower for a long time was a ransome finger but he upgraded to a massey drum mower. Turnover in hay used to be a vicon acrobat but was upgraded to a new holland haybob. Eventually to reduce manual input he hired in for rounds approx 30% and occassionally wrapped rounds.
When I was a kid we had about a 28 "Regular." Not sure I think it was "field converted" to rubber tire. We ran straight gas, it was made for distillate. Dad put an old flywheel in the space between the clutch and gearbox, lights, gen, and ......electric start. (Some of the time.) Dad built a magnificent blade, belt drive hydraulics with parts from ?Midwest? Tractor back east, and also built a great front mount buzz saw. He did not believe in saw guards, however. From about 12 "little me" had to throw away from that scary monster. When I first started operating it 14? I had to scoot forward on the seat and clamp my thighs around the wheel, brace my arms against my legs to keep it in control. We had some rough ground. Just a small family farm, a cow or two and a beef or two, N end of Idaho. After Dad died, we sold it about? 03, we DROVE it onto the trailer
My wife walked by as you were showing what the tractor looked like when you started the restoration and was seriously impressed. Then said “That’s what yours could look like”. I think it will have to be my next one... I need mine for working our pasture regularly so can’t take it out of service that long. But I think she gave me permission to get another one.....

You’re welcome to come and fix it. I think it’s about a 4 hour job considering the loader has to come apart and a new sleeve tapped for a grease zerk has to be welded in. Considering that, I think I can live with it for a while.

Dad built a magnificent blade, belt drive hydraulics with parts from ?Midwest? Tractor back east, and also built a great front mount buzz saw. He did not believe in saw guards, however. From about 12 "little me" had to throw away from that scary monster. When I first started operating it 14? I had to scoot forward on the seat and clamp my thighs around the wheel, brace my arms against my legs to keep it in control. We had some rough ground. Just a small family farm, a cow or two and a beef or two, N end of Idaho. After Dad died, we sold it about? 03, we DROVE it onto the trailer

My wife walked by as you were showing what the tractor looked like when you started the restoration and was seriously impressed. Then said “That’s what yours could look like”.
I think it will have to be my next one... I need mine for working our pasture regularly so can’t take it out of service that long.
But I think she gave me permission to get another one.....

You’re welcome to come and fix it. I think it’s about a 4 hour job considering the loader has to come apart and a new sleeve tapped for a grease zerk has to be welded in. Considering that, I think I can live with it for a while.
