When you said “thanks Mr Cotter” I got curious who invented it. I found three different people claiming to have invented it, but only one named Cotter. John Cotter from Ireland gets my vote. 😆

    Thanks Pete & family,
So a 756 story. We farmed in Wisconsin around Paire Du chien. I remember when our 756 was delivered around 1974. She was big and red. We used it to run the grain carts, augers, baling hay and take Heston bails out to the Hereford cows. We would ride on those big fenders. I could just reach those peddles. Always loved to unlock the brake peddles and spin the entire tractor. Thanks for not only restoring it and keeping it running. But using it. She was always my go-to tractor.👍

I am sure it has been said in the comments already but you need a new safety switch. If you look close you can see the sparks of it blow out when you first started the ignition. It did work but it doesn’t now. Great job gonna be a great spring.

Don't ever say again you're not a mechanic, you do better work than some of the "professionals" I worked with.
Watching the video I noticed as soon as you hit the start button the safety switch sparked like crazy! My guess it arched and burnt out. We use jumper wires all the time to get power to things in auto repair all the time too.

I always surprised how complicated and well designed a tractor is. From a distance they look very simple and unsophisticated but are the opposite. A lot more sophisticated than the average car. Thus it takes more skill and knowledge to work on a tractor. Peter Larson has that skill . Your videos are inspirational.

I like watching these kinds of videos. My dad had 2 of these tractors, not at the same time though. First one I was young and didn't get to drive it much. The second one came near the end of his career. We both liked using the second one more. Both had turbo's on them which was always fun to hear the whistle.

Love all your video. You have my kind of sense of humor. My kids and grandkids are always groaning. Ha! Keep it up. I'm a retired engineer and have always been curious as to how things worked. I cannot tell you how many things I tore apart to see how they work and then not able to put back together. With a few more years' experience I finally was able too. My wife has always been happy that I could fix things around the house. She leaves things on the kitchen counter for me to take to my work bench to fix. Even my grandkids come to me to fix their stuff. They love to watch me do it and it's a great bonding time. But I'm getting old, and I find it harder to work on my cars. Small stuff I can still handle but the big stuff I just take in. I find all aspects of what you do very interesting, and I appreciate you sharing.
