    I remember the car, I raced in Fun Ford Weekend which used to be the big mustang racing events back in the day, the class I raced in was Trophy Stock which evolved into Street Warrior around the time I swapped over to National Mustang Racers Association in a class called Factory Stock. The Street Warrior class was No Porting and gt40's\P's E7's or some older heads but No Aluminum heads, 310 cubic inch Limit if I'm not mistaken, No Ported Intakes, Cam was limited to 500 lift but any duration you wanted and you had to race on 8.5 in slicks. That car would've had a custom grind cam and milled heads, that car was also one of the very few that raced with a auto trans which was a aod if I'm not mistaken, rear gear is most likely a 4.30 or 4.56. The stickers were contingency sponsors so if you won a race youd get like 150 bucks extra per sticker or might have been a little more than 150. The MV sticker is correct, MV performance, not MVP. Fun Ford Weekend went under and National Mustang Racers Association really had taken over by then and NMRA is still holding racing events to this day.

    MV Performance is Tim Matherly's place in GA. Multi year champion in the NMRA

    I hope whoever buys it, leaves it as is and gets it running. Those Street Stock/Street Warrior guys always amazed me with their witchcraft. Stock stroke, E7 or GT40 heads, baby cams, and running 11s all day. Meanwhile us normal folks were needing aluminum heads, big cams, and a power adder to do that.

    Wow I love it. That's my style foxbody for sure. It's like a time capsule. I hope whoever gets it doesn't put it back to stock. There's plenty of those already.

    Car is super clean and a time capsule. I can verify it has been sitting in an enclosed trailer since late 2001

    Kinda nuts seeing a race car with parts removed for weight reduction yet still has a full interior

    That’s a real time capsule of the car. There are some new carburetor kits that you can put on EFI motors that come with a TPS bracket and sensor.

  • @peractuscoc7475
    @peractuscoc7475 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    TPS sensor would be for what is very likely an AOD-E /4R70W controlled by a Baumann Electronic Controls (now USShift) standalone transmission controller. Buttons next to shifter for converter lockup, OD lockout, or transbrake arming and a transbrake momentary switch.

    • @KIRBYFARMS-tk5mo
      @KIRBYFARMS-tk5mo 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Close but not quite. One button is to supply power to ignition while cranking. the other button is for the transbrake though.

    It would be a shame to change the car from the way it sits now. It should be appreciated as is since there's obviously a history to it, and people in the comments already recognize the car. Very cool.

    Love this car, looks so clean! So nostalgic with the setup and all of the documentation, etc. All of the stickers on the car, generally when you race most of those companies will pay you a small amount for running them, not quite a sponsorship, more of a contingency. That car was flying back in the day!
    I know mines going from drag to street, but on this one I hope that its kept in it's current state but updated with some niceties and maybe a Sniper EFI system. Its just so cool as it sits.

      They are not stickers on the paint, those a magnets so they are removable.

    That’s a real time capsule the TPS on the carburetor. You can get that on some carburetor kits now if you wanna put a carburetor on your EFI cars, they supply TPS sensor so you can do that.

    If you wanted to know about the car just ask me, I built it. I purchased the car in 1993 and kept it till 2000 when it was sold to a guy in Texas and never was run again, It is an AOD-E trans not an AOD

      @@TheInfamousProject It's a very cool car. Their class was pretty strict on modifications. Better cylinder heads and a little bit of nitrous would wake this car right up.
