I never would have guessed suncream and moisturiser would be on the list of must haves for Thailand 😂that or the flight out, kind of makes sense but didn't even consider it
@@sheps5656 - Once a week, Thais and expats/tourist, meet at a restaurant or cafe to practice their English and Thai. It's a great way to make new friends especially if you want to meet local Thai people. To find one in Bangkok, just Google: Language Exchange Bangkok. Normally, there is no cost for English speakers.
Try coconut oil capsules to help your stomach adjust to Thai food. I had a friend from Peckham Rye visit Thailand, and he could only eat fried rice, noodles, and KFC.
Good advice. I try to put some on my face and tattoos, but I also know there's lots of stuff coming out atm about toxic chemicals, so considering making some natural creams...
I leave here for 15 years I have dozen of friends living here, nobody spend more than 1200/1500 for the monthly budget, nobody and I have 2 bikes 1 car I live in 125sqm home with 4 aircon. The problem is than you guys making budget like thinking you are in holiday. Eating 6 days a weeks western food and drinking beer avery days. Normal peaple don't live like that. Budget it's what you need for living, go rooftop bar or drinking everyday is not part of a monthly budget.
It's not really the heat, it’s the humidity. For example, 90 degrees (32 Celsius) is miserably unpleasant in a humid climate like in Thailand and you get hot and sweaty just walking from your front door to the mailbox. But here in California with its dry climate the same temperature is not at all unpleasant. And you will certainly not get sweaty and sticky unless you do some very strenuous exercise while outside. I have always hated high humidity and so I really found the humid summers in Japan particularly miserable for the 5 years I lived there. And it was the same when visiting Thailand, although the first time I lived there year-round I actually acclimated somewhat to the climate and could handle it a little better. But now that I am getting old, I’m actually finding it harder to deal with again. In fact, that is one of the many reasons I moved back to California after initially retiring to Thailand a few years ago. I have been visiting Thailand for over 30 years now and I love it but for me its just a much better place to visit than to live - preferable during the winter when it’s a bit cooler and less humid.
No worries man, thanks for watching!! Ahh I'm sorry dude, I don't. Butttt I am hoping that'll be my next visa so in 1 month's time I hope I can give you an answer to that one :)
I don't know where you take your info about cream. I leave here, I have thai wife and she buy tons of cream on supermarket and also in innisfree shop and the price for the basic are super cheap, like 750ml for 180 baht and innisfree are same price more or less than italy. Nivea and nivea for man are super cheap. If you buy the sunscreen in phi phi island is expensive becouse you are in an island not because of thailand
Not sure loneliness should be on this list . the minute you arrived in thailand there is great feeling and you ain't met any one yet, just going out for a beer i have met so many people and then they become your friends. some i known for 10 years + sometimes you got so many friends to hang out with but don't always have the time. the only time I feel the loneliness is when i sitting at survarnbhumi airport and got to leave thailand
Ahh interesting. That's good you get that feeling in Thailand! I think for me...I don't really drink so I don't really have that social lubricant, and so I need to force myself into situations where I can connect with people. And after 2 years I've finally got a nice social circle, but it did take some time 🙏
@trippinwitgeorge looking back I also was not a social beer fan but now I realise they is so much more and it opened many more doors on the social ladder, getting to know the owners of the bars/clubs, meetings people whom are just popping in for that one social beer or just there to watch the football games those are fun nights to be out. met so many people from guys working at embassies , movie actors famous kick boxers 🙏
It's true new foreigners come to Thailand will find all kinds of problems. I'm living here almost of my life, I never have these many problems as you are describing. When I went to Europe, I got mugged in downtown London, and my wallet stole. Problem with homeless and drug addicted people are everywhere, I had to be careful everywhere I went. In Italy, I had to defend myself many times on the train and public parks. And you come here in Thailand and complain about plastic and animal rights, come on.
Just because they're different problems doesn't mean they're not problems. Just because you aren't the one who is directly impacted by something doesn't mean others somewhere else aren't being affected by it. You've focused on how you were impacted (I agree - crime and homelessness in UK is a joke) - but what I'm flagging is that there are issues in Thailand (as all places), and in these instances those impacted are the environment and animals.
I recently flew from BK to Phuket with only carry on luggage and they took my brand new CeraVa moisturiser and threw it in💔 the bin. Heartbroken! 💔 But a lesson learned ;)

Man it is a BUMP!
Super helpful stuff! Much appreciated 🤝
You're very welcome! Thanks so much for watching 🙏
Your videos are of such good quality! What camera do you use?
Thank you! These are actually on my phone, and it is just a Samsung Galaxy 23 Ultra :)
Nature is absolutely beautiful in rural Thailand during Rain season.
Agreed! Rainy seasons is actually one of my favourite times in Thailand (...as long as I am inside 😅😂)
Language exchange meetups are good ways of meeting Thai locals and foreigners who live in Bangkok long-term.
oooo super useful - thanks!
What's a language exchange? (totally read it as luggage exchange first that was confusing for a second).

Ohh schnapp, super helpful - thanks so much! I think I'll order those - thank you!
Very insightful man loving the progress keep going
Thank you so much bro! We getting there...slowly 😉
I have never used sunscreen, I just take care of slowly adapting to the sun, and not going straight on the beach all day first day back in Thailand.

Get skin cancer checks every year ok

Man, I've been living in Thailand for 2 years, and I am still not acclimated to the heat, ... I don't think I ever will be.
Haha man it is mental!!! I'm in the UK visiting fam atm...and I am dreading the first couple of days back in that heat 😰

That's a solid point. 33 degrees in the UK feels veeery different (and far more pleasurable/tolerable) than 33 in Bangkok...
Thanks for the video! Do you know if you need a return flight if you have the Destination Thailand (digital nomad) visa?

They're definitely too big. He looks ridiculous.
But they are exactly the right size for his VISION 💫👁🗨💫👁🗨
"metaphorically speaking"
OOOOSH! Love it! 🔥 haha

Great video! Meat is the utmost animal cruelty pal, be coherent, avoid it and your belly will be fine!
I am with you 🙏 My meat consumption is about 95% eradicated now (...just the 5% to go...). This has been a game changer in terms of my gut health
