Crocs Construction baby!💪🏽. All jokes aside , your videos are very informative & simplistic.. Especially for a newbie like myself who is about to build my first 13x10 shed roof .
What a great job. The Thron Brothers rule! I didn't realize how heavy the front wall frame could be until I went and lifted one smaller 2 x 4! I can't wait for the roof segment. Thank you.
Thanks for the step by step guide, it was super helpful! I appreciate the time you put into these videos and the shed course. Makes it SO much easier during the building process
I live out in the country, so I can pretty much do what I want, as far as building in my property. I wouldn't think a shed this size would need one in a typical suburban neighborhood. If you add electric, I would definitely look into it.
Beginner question- what's recommended length of the wall framing stud when using T111 siding ? That will accounts for a 2"x4"x8' bottom plate installed on concrete slab and a double 2"x4"x8' top plate that as 2"x6"x 8' rafter sit on top plate.
Did you have issues with permitting or codes? I believe in my area you have to get your structure permitted if it’s on a slab like yours. Did you have any professional help when designing the framing? Looks great hope to try something similar myself some day.
I like your videos and I really like how you have the the cad drawing. I was thinking about trying to find that CAD program that you’re using so I could do the same thing with my shed, I am planning to make. Are you able to tell me which CAD program you are using in your video?
I found the easiest way to do the walls solo is to screw a few off cuts to the base sticking up, this way you can run the wall into them and stand it up without it falling off the top.
Can you please put all the list of all the materials for this 10x10 lean to shed. I really like it your design. I like to build my own too. Thank you much!!!
Hi Allan! I actually have all that information in my course (linked in the video). But the information in this video (and my others) should give you a good idea of the materials and what you will need. Good luck!
Great videos. I am eyeing that course material. ;-) Did you cut the end of your rafters on an angle to account for straight fascia boards? maybe i missd it.
Hey Patrick - thanks for watching! I did not trim my fascia boards (personal preference) but you totally can. Just use the same angle as the pitch of your roof.
You actually can put too many nails in a piece of wood. Wood relies on the connection between the fibers for its strength. Every time you poke a nail or screw in you weaken it. That's not to say to go too few. General rule of thumb is every 12 inches. A bit short is okay, just be careful. Also not saying you have to measure unless You're unsure what 12 inches looks like.
Cool. But as a framer/carpenter I must say its a waste of material when you frame corners like you did. Should, instead, use the California method. You can still sheet the walls with no problem, but use less material. God bless
I totally hear ya! I’ll consider that method next time I have a wall corner I’m working on. I’m sure there are a bunch of ways that you could “value engineer” my construction methods. The 10” rafter spacing is probably another lol. Thanks for watching!
He does work like he’s been told how to hold the flash light before though (Andrew) if you know what I mean. which makes me think he’s either been to trade school or has a excellent older role model (or father) 😂
These videos are great BUT… You only mention the support 2x4 to prevent the front wall from tipping if you do this alone. That is the only safety tip you share - I find it very irresponsible to work in crocs. You should be wearing safety boots, should one of those Walls fall onto your feet it would crush The bones to dust.
Hi Jessica! You are totally right. Crocs are definitely not the safest construction shoe on the market - that’s for sure. Steel toe boots are definitely the better bet. Thanks for watching!
WHY ARE YOU BOTH WEARING FREAKING CROCS????? Everything else was great, but my Lord guys, those are a slip, trip, fall or crushed toe waiting to happen :(
Awesome series of videos! I'm going to be doing a bit of this soon and was wondering, what the software program you are using to do the plans you show in 3D. I'm going to be doing larger and am chasing something like this. Thanks again!
Ты приколист, продавать эту чушь, 3 6ас люди не настолько жадные и дают такие проекты в открытом доступе или за 10-15$ целые дома с раскроем материала и тд, а ты гонишь, сарай продавать.
God up in heaven knows that all of us are sinners that’s why he sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ that whosoever shall believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life we are to repent and to be changed into be born-again yet even near our best where is dirty filthy rags each and everyone of us even if we commit just one cent we have Broken all the commandments Yet Jesus is the only way that we can be saved

Crocs construction for life haha Appreciate it and good luck!

Thanks a lot, Patrick! Thanks for commenting and supporting the vids - means a lot!
Best video I've seen on building a shed. Hot me pumped to build mine on spring 👍
Appreciate it! Good luck with your build this summer!
Thanks for the step by step guide, it was super helpful! I appreciate the time you put into these videos and the shed course. Makes it SO much easier during the building process
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching, LeAnne.
To help speed things up, cut top and bottom plate at the same time. An have a stop block for repetitive cuts. Measure one, cut x.
Very helpful, step-by-step guide! Getting ready to build my first shed and this is so helpful! Thanks
Glad it helps! Good luck with your shed!
Did you need a permit.?
I live out in the country, so I can pretty much do what I want, as far as building in my property. I wouldn't think a shed this size would need one in a typical suburban neighborhood. If you add electric, I would definitely look into it.
@@danoc1432 I live in a sub- Divison. The city wants a permit, and a Structural engineered plan. By the way, mine will be a 10X14
@@c-yah1325 Wow. Good luck! Hope it turns out good!
Great job and great video. Keep up the good work
Thanks for the step by step. I feel way for confidence doing this myself
Glad it was helpful! Good luck!
Love the shirt, thanks for the tips. Im looking to make a floor to put my bbq pit on. Would 2x4 at 16inch be sturdy enough?
Hello, thanks for the great video, good luck 💗
Appreciate the continued support! Thanks for watching!

How tall is the front wall you never say ? We saw the back wall and side walls but you never say for the front.
I found the easiest way to do the walls solo is to screw a few off cuts to the base sticking up, this way you can run the wall into them and stand it up without it falling off the top.
31:00 back and sides are attached with double plates. but how is the front wall attached to the side walls?
is it necessary to use treated wall studs?
@0:12 I love just the order of your frame... i'd stain glass the eff out of that 😂
I have a she shed 10x 14. I need a bathroom to make it for company. It’s a lean too design. How do I add a small bathroom to the side of it ? Thky
Do you have to have a header on the front wall?
What is a price for labor to build that shed and how much was the material
I feel like the foundation is the hardest part. What did you use?
No double plate on the tall wall?
Any idea why my back wall to this shed wobbles? How to fix it?
Can I make 12x10 shed with your plan?

@@AndrewThronImprovements Thanks Andrew for answering the question.
Should it all be PT?
was wondering why you showed some of the measurements except the height of the front wall unless I missed it LOL
What software program did you use for the framing images?
Great video. Just read your comment on the CAD prrogram from another subcriber. Thank you!
How is anchored to the ground

Sketchup free version

Arms have disconnected from my shoulders.
Fell on my butt.
Wife is laughing at me.
Please advise.
Are you using treated lumber on the framing?
Yes but only because it was cheaper (if you can believe that) at the time of purchase. Supply chain was crazy at that time.
What cad program do you use?
Hi! It's SketchUp - free version
What does "crown up" mean? and why make sure the studs are all crown up? Curious. Thanks for the great vids.
You could easily google this....
@@AS-cq6uq Already did. Thanks for the "pro tip" ;) it's not so much a question but a nudge for instructing on video...
It would have been nice to see how the roof Joyce and siding was installed
Hey Terry - I have detailed videos showing every step of the project on my channel. Feel free to check them out if you are interested!
Never listen to someone building things in crocs. So much bad advice in this video lol
Like what ..? What things would you do better or not do at all?
Without wasting time and you're wasting time 😂

You must be the older brother. Classic older bro thinks he’s wiser and just knows best way without brother fighting against them.
But good job regardless.
