Weird. TH-cam sends me zero notifications from your channel over the last couple of months. I stumble across the shed floor video in a search and realize there are a pile more of your vids to watch. Nice surprise! Thanks for the share, man. Loving the DIY shed videos, especially.
Really? See what the heck. I've noticed that there haven't been notifications going out and it's been hurting me. Whatever, I'm glad you found them anyways. Thanks for watching and reaching out!
So happy to see a video from you and then realized I never got a notification for the floor so had to go find it and get it watched first. Was like a bonus, 2 videos at once. I really enjoy your builds, you are so good at explaining the process. Thanks.
Thanks! Yeah I've been wondering about that...I think my time off has made the almighty algorithm upset and it isn't sending them out because my views are down the last few videos unfortunately. But I'm glad you found them now. Take care
Great work again. I commented on your last shed build after building my shed based on your design. I also got a lot of grief from family members about using OSB on the external walls. Guess what... my shed still looks as good as ever even after 2 Scottish winters. I made sure there was plenty of paint on it to protect the thing. Thanks again Jesse!
Thanks very much! Glad to hear you're still here and commenting, I appreciate it. Oh man, people love to throw shad about something they have probably used wrong in the past and had a bad experience with. But I'm glad to hear it's still looking good proving them all wrong lol. Thanks for reaching out, take care!
One thing I appreciate about your videos is you get right down to buisness. You sprinkle your jokes and commentary all along the video. While others talk bs for 15 minutes before they actually get to it. Thanks.
Anytime, glad you like it. I find there is a time and place for stuff like that in certain videos, but straight up tutorial style videos like this, not so much.
Hey there, I have watched half a dozen shed build videos, and you taught me something new with yours. The trick to place the very bowed stud on the outside in order to screw it into the other wall, to straighten it, is a technique I would probably not have thought on my own. Thanks.
For my shed, I planned on using Smart siding. Everything Lowes had in stock was crap! Edges gouged out and front side a mess with scrapes and gouges. The big box stores don't care if they sell you junk.
Love the video but one question ... Why do you use screws instead of a framing nail gun? I was going to build my shed using my framing nail gun, is there a reason I shouldn't use a nail gun?
Thanks. Not at all. I just used screws where i could and nails where I needed. The vast majority of homeowners don't have a nail gun, but most have a drill so that's why I did it. You can nail the whole thing together if you have it. Good luck on yours
Yes rain will cause it to swell up and fall apart. If using OSB, use oil based paint, it will seal the OSB. My shed has lasted over 5 years and still rock solid.
As long as it's treated and covered correctly, it'll be fine. Follow along for the rest of the build, and check my last shed series to see how it's lasted
That's why I tried to get ahead of it in the video by explaining it. I switch when needed though between the 2 as required. But believe me they have. The first video in this series I explained they why and how come
Absolutely, as long as it's a couple coats and fully sealed up. Check out the last shed playlist to see how it went and how it held up over time if you want, I have a 3 year update video. Good luck on yours!

I am really enjoying this new shed series. Great production quality, attention to detail and clarity when explaining it all. Awesome work, Jesse!
Thanks very much. Glad you enjoy it!
I'll be building a yard shed for the mower and tools next year- this is a great video series to rewatch when I get to that point. Thank you!
Awesome, thanks! Good luck when the time comes
Great work ! Hi to Dad . Lots of good info. For us none professionals
Thanks very much! I'm glad you found it all useful. I'll let him know you say hi lol

Anytime, glad I could help!
Jess you’re a beast! Man it was fun watching the walls going up…you did a great job!
Thanks man, appreciate it!
I’m crying at 0:04 😂😂😂 it’s like that sometimes lifting those up!
That's exactly how it is lol
I enjoyed this video. Thanks mate.
Anytime, thanks!
Thanks! I think your videos are very helpful!
Thank you so much! I appreciate it and am glad you like them
Excellent video, thank you!
Thanks!
I found a new channel. Fantastic
It is fantastic! Welcome
Amazing work love your videos
Thank you, I appreciate it!
LOL, i knew when he was about to turn it that it was OSB on the other side.🤣🤣😂😂
Thank you! Man people got so butt hurt over it lol
if no one else has not mentioned it, for the header, it's not the floor OSB, it is the smart paneling for the door header
You are correct. I meant wall sheeting that was cut off from overlapping the floor. But clearly not what I said. It is correct in the plans tho.
For my shed, I planned on using Smart siding. Everything Lowes had in stock was crap! Edges gouged out and front side a mess with scrapes and gouges. The big box stores don't care if they sell you junk.
Not usually no. I had to go to 2 stores to get all I needed
Very helpful! How much did it cost you to build this?
No prob! I have totals at the end of every video and a total build cost in the last video
As a retired framing carpenter, you did pretty good, but you still had a few flaws, but you still did good,I would've used a nail gun, good job
Most people don't have nail guns so I tried to keep it approachable with how the vast majority of homeowners would build it. Thanks tho
Retired doesn't mean good
Great videos !!! What do you use for editing your videos?
Thanks! I use Davinci Resolve.

hello, do you do customize plans? i need a shed 11x4 and 2 doors on each 4 feet laterals
Unfortunately no I don't. It would take me far too long to make them and end up costing way too much for a one off.
Ghanks for sharing,
Anytime
hello Nice work! Curious how tall are your walls?
Thanks! 90" overall including plates
I like your style to the point….not sure why this video did not flash earlier…yes TH-cam wanted some view milage out of me first.
Thanks! Me either, I wish TH-cam would promote my videos more but it just doesn't. Either way, glad you found it!
Its kinda surprising that Kevin Owens has time to teach us how to build a shed in between matches.
I'm sitting here actually laughing while I type this, bravo
I've been trying to think who this man reminds me of. 😂 That's it!
hey Im gonna use OSB as well for my shed but should it be a concern for rain to damage it?
Yes rain will cause it to swell up and fall apart. If using OSB, use oil based paint, it will seal the OSB. My shed has lasted over 5 years and still rock solid.

Nice now my turn 😂 🙏
Perfect! Good luck on yours
i see you flipped your deckblocks upside down?
Just because of the double rim joists
Suprised no one grilled you on using screws vs nail gun for sheer strength.
That's why I tried to get ahead of it in the video by explaining it. I switch when needed though between the 2 as required. But believe me they have. The first video in this series I explained they why and how come
Sooo osb on my shed I’m gonna build this weekend will be perfectly fine with paint?🤔😂
Absolutely, as long as it's a couple coats and fully sealed up. Check out the last shed playlist to see how it went and how it held up over time if you want, I have a 3 year update video. Good luck on yours!
What are the dimensions of the shed?
8'x10'
Cost?
Cost breakdown at the end of every video and a total breakdown in the last video
Ora de
?
Wet noodle!!! 🤣
It is! lol
🙂
Thanks
