And the blue-eyes bug was really strange because at the normal ranked the skill was working normally but inside the kcgt room had a bug. I can explain with more details if want. But nice video

Yugioh having items as prizes was a decree from Kazuki Takahashi as to (probably) try and keep it casual, but as we know ygo isn’t casual in the slightest and is full of the sweatiest and stinkiest sweats on Earth. It has even bled into mtg.
I mean, they could still give out the starlight sheets like they used to (although they should actually cut them so the cards could be used), since those have a lot of value if they were to be sold
Not really MTG. Yes Modern exists but even in Commander there’s very little hyper compettive assholes from my experience, and they’ve even seperated some decks into a section known as CEDH.

So when I nuke him with Fling Multani and Yargle (the 18/6 guy) and he takes 72+ damage thanks to all my damage buffs, it's great because I build memes and jokes.... and still manage to make his ass shut up In the wise words of the voice in my head, or at least one of them "Just because you spend $1000 on your deck dosnt mean you're gonna win every time, sometimes a $25 deck can beat a World Champ depending on how the cards fall"

Can we also bring up that Zeeta refused to answer any questions by Konami following the Finals in sheer defiance? Perhaps for your next video, the Jan 2022 Duel Links Invitational, and the alleged Gentleman's Agreement by the Participants would be the accenting follow-up to this Tourney.
While not the reason for the disconnects in this scenario, microwaves used to cause wifi to disconnect in general (made my family really mad whenever I was making food).

Great video, but honestly I find it BEYOND me how anyone can consider anything post may 2021 “a good format”. If im not mistaken this was either the 4th month of harpies Dominating or the beginning of tier 0 onomats. Also this is the point in DL history where EVERY SINGLE DECK had either a 1 card combo that setup A disruption or MAYBE 2 or had a 2 card combo with a skill that added 1 of the pieces to their hand and did THE SAME THING. 2021 and early 2022 was awful for DL meta wise.
Very unfortunate what happened. People make mistakes (including konami), but this was one time where making a mistake (referring to the bug) was really crucial. Anyways though, keep it up Loom, Great Content!

To answer the question of why Pokémon has prize money and YGO does not, that was actually Kazuki Takahashi's condition for allowing official tournaments to even be a thing. He didn't want players to feel as though they were gambling away their money.
Modern Yugioh became so convoluted that not even the creators can keep up. I remember the good old classic Yugioh times when we played as kids and didn't even know the rules properly. No synchro pendulum star token whatever stuff.
I heard it was pretty bad; glad to know im not the only Salty Yu-Gi-Oh ! Player I watched the first match of the Wcs and they said some one made an illegal move just some things I still don't understand in the modern Yu-Gi-Oh! So many years later
Hey loom, I participated in this event too in top 16 and i remember how i lose round 1 because Konami decide to restart my match when i obviously winning and in the rematch i lost the coinflip and brick lol this was my 1st worlds event but was so terrifle also i was playing like 11 pm, so bad

I would of played all the way through 2021 championships in duel links but i stopped half way through lol only thing i got was the mat change for the 2021 lol well at least i think i was playing for spot in tournament been playing a long time on duel links but now its kinda boring not a fan of the current events in both duel links or master duel
To tell the turth, all worlds & yugioh in general got truches since they allowed extra monsters back into main zones "beside link", and let's not talk about soul swords & that awful trash wild deck that letterly do 30+ normal summons in my own turn 🤮🤮🤮
