my engine keeps on crashing when i turn on the rounded corners for the hangar :( lil help pls
Dude WE KNOW! Same thing happened to us 10000 times. Ok try these things:
1. Don't turn "Rounded Corners" on before starting your path extrudes. Finishing your shape and when deciding the"Width" before left clicking to confirm, just check rounded corners.
2. Don't turn on Fixed ... instead go "Interactive" for all the settings.
3. Try to follow EXACTLY the steps and settings we took in the same order.
Let us know how it goes .... All you have to do is just mess with the settings ... this is totally not your fault ... it's a bug!
Hey guys@@badxstudio , yea so................. i did that. it worked but when i clicked "complete" after the entire thing its crashed again :/ . so i tried again and now it crashes as soon as i click on "Rounded Corners" :(
@@badxstudio Ok something weird happened i just made it on the Main level and it WORKED? i dont know what happened but it worked... so YAY :)
i have a solution you can try ,firstly change width mode to fixed and then check rounded corners after that change width mode to interactive again , it should work with you hopefully
@@badxstudio finally bug fix dont try in the same on tutorial do select random points that can make the same model you can apply rounded early its doesn't effect anything!
i LOVE how clear your teaching method is. so many tutorials just run through so quick its so hard to keep up and they dont explain anything.. thats what sets your video apart. SO GOOD
What a charismatic duo
Means a lot brother Thank you
both of you, teach UE very easily.....Thanks Brothers.
LOVE U!
I am having so much fun with these tutorials. I have done 1 to 3 straight through and you are so good at giving the basics. I now feel like I will get something out of Unreal whereas this morning I new literally nothing, not even the interface. Amazing program!
Im so glad yall made these videos, im completely new to UE, like I dont know anything, and every time I try to find any tutorial, its either not what I am looking for or 40 mins of a guy explaining the sane thing over and over.
Well I'm glad we found each other ... it was meant to be
I’ll be here till the end. I’ve been working on a game in UE5 for half a year been learning for a year, eager and willing to sharpen my craft. Thank you guys so much. I can’t believe I’ve made it this far without knowing how to change pivot point.
We are so glad to hear it buddy. There are tons of tips and tricks in the upcoming episodes
@@badxstudio hey uhm howd you get the keystrokes?
I've been teaching myself how to use UE5 for the past year and a half. It is a powerful tool. I am always down to learn more and I'm excited for this tutorial series. Thank you for taking the time to create these videos as I know they take a lot of hard work and effort. I will start on this video as I already know the basics. Following and Subscribed.
Thank you so much for your comments. it means a lot that you understand the effort it took. Hope you enjoy the rest of the tutorials
The best thing about this series is that they are having conversation so it doesn't sound like a robot trying to teach me. This is my first editing/coding/art program ever. I love video games so much and when I tell people I am learning, they have this look like they know I will do something great. Watching these videos solidifies this. Thank you so much.
sadly i can't continue i have a UHD 620 GPU I only get (4 FPS \ 2)😢. (I hop some day I can continue this journey)
Do you have a laptop or pc
guys u deserves millions of views.
hahaha thanks buddy ...they will come ;)
Thank you,
I started watching your series to learn the ins and outs, but I'm super addicted now. Your videos are so inspiring.
Part 3, here we go 👌
Again, thank you very much for the video.
On Mac the Editor Preferences are accessed by going to the UnrealEditor at the top left, then Preferences. There is no Edit->Editor Preferences on MacOS.
I mean, beyond UE5 this series of tutorials is one of the best tutorials I have ever seen in my life
You guys are amazing I won't give up!!! Its the full 8 hours for me...
Truly, you guys inspire me to learn more and more in this area. What seemed difficult, you made seem easy, in my opinion. From here in Brazil, my deepest thanks. Let's go, guys!!!
Thank u so much buddy. Glad it is helpful
We LOVE BRAZILLLLL
This is so much fun guys! love the duo hosts idea that you are doing. Fahrad asking all the questions I'm thinking
Already loving the energy here!!
Great episode, very clear. Thanks you guys. The game is just beginning never give up🖖
Heck yeah!! Let's keep going brother
May the force be with you 🖖@@badxstudio
Great series, I was looking for something like this for a long time. I really appreciate all the effort put into this series. P.S. Greetings from Poland🤩
I just made it to chapter 3. And I'm not gonna lie. I'm starting to have a little bit of fun, so keep it going.
You both are doing quality work. God Bless You
Just wanted to say thanks for making all of this. Very overwhelming tool to start with but your vids help a lot.
Can't believe someone gave up now, this is so fun!
This is Gold. You content delivery is clear and easy to follow. Wish I could subscribe twice👌🏻!!
This is the tutorial I was waiting for! I am not very good at modelling.
Let's see if that changes today! Thanks Bad Decisions Studio!
guys you have an amazing energy to learn, thanks !
This series is inspirational. I am determined to finish the whole thing to the end.
See... This is how people can learn new things in the world cause people like you all make it interesting! Not to mention, the fact that we even got this far, you guys acknowledged that and said "You are OG's" and even pointed out that some already have quit. THIS is what makes a person want to keep going! THANK YOU
dont stop ur work dudes
You 2 are wonderful! That "Extrude Path" tool! Thank you guys!
Just found it and its amazing, I'll keep goinggggggggg
YOU GOT THIS!!!
THANK YOU FOR THESE TUTORIALS
If anyone gets lost in the orthographic view and can't see where the objects are just select them from outliner and then press F (before realizing that I almost lost my hope:D). with UE 5.4 rounded corners and fixed settings are working properly btw.
Great job guys, greetings from italy❤️🇮🇹
The size matters ALWAYS🤣🤣. So fun to watch and learn. Keep it up
It does right? :D :D :D
I'm age 42, and have no background experience in any 3D animation. Struggle in learning in the past, because of boring and feels like a university lecture. However this got me so excited in learning and it makes me feels like a kid again ... thanks for this great tutorial
You guys are great! Thank you so much!
Please help me @baddecision studio . Trying to use the cubebrick but the ctrl + drag is making multiple blocks and the blocks are not visible in the viewport after i had accepted it
OMG THE DONUT DUDE. I watched him when I first ever got into 3D! Love this!
we must install visual studio is important for unreal engine 5
finished part 3.. actually have so much fun 😄 but i think i should play around with what ive learned before moving on ty for videos
You can move Pivot Points on your models to get easier scaling. E.g. a Lampposts, Pipes, Ropes etc with a pivot point on the bottom center, are useful to have starting point and scale in one direction without the need of moving your model after each scaling
Though I havent watched it yet, but thank you guys, this'll be perfect just as the previous one ❤
Hope you like it!
You guys really inspire me. Handsome and knowledgeable. Love you guys
Another day, Another video done
HELL YEAH!! Keep going

You are a LEGEND!!!
I’m just a student learning from the masters lol
Pureref is nice, but why not import the reference image into the project, put it onto a plane and just throw it into the world - on the floor for example - then you could just point n click your shape together. I used to use this technique in blender for modelling - usually 2 images 90 degree stuck into each other - good for cars or symetrical things as you can just mirror it over.
It’s almost impossibile to find a better training even for a fee. Bravi!!!
you are awesome guys, i didn't give up and i will keep learning from you guys
thanks a million :)
Thank you guys for making these. ive been trying to learn ue for forever
It's your time now!!!
@badxstudio can u please tell me how were you able to bring the grids for snapping on that rectangular platform youve got there at 12:50 cause ive tried it but wasnt able to see any grids forming on the cube which i developed from the modelling tool.
Yea me neither! How does this work??
you guys are great thank you for this amazing playlist
LOVE you guys that awesome
Good merch idea for you guys to make/sell: a large keyboard/mouse pad with all of the Unreal 5 shortcuts
Finished part 1-3 today!
You are fASTT!!
Thanks!
I am still here! chapter 3 and moving!
Hi Guys! Your tutorials are of the best! Thanks a lot! I'm following them all. By the way, how do you use the Measurement tool on a Mac?
i did want front pivot to be bottom pivot so it took me a while to adjust correctly
can you make a tutorial for starting development of an RTS game?
If you're following this tutorial and notice your lighting or lumen render looks off, please switch your scene to Cinematic (it'sat the top of your viewport next to show)... Unfortunately not all devices can handle it because it can be pretty demanding.
Thanks for these awesome videos Bad decisions, I'm really enjoying it so far... I would tag you on Instagram when I'm done practicing.
Help!!
Im trying to use the cube grid but whenever i press accept it says in the bottom right of the screen that "Cannot modify built-in engine asset"
I don't know if you ever figured it out.
Basically hit "esc"
Then without hitting anything select the cubegrid option and it'll work.
Спасибо! :)
SIMON!!! MA MAN
Really good stuff guys!
how you see the grid so clear?
Thanks for the great content you provide
I don't have an editor preferences option. I opened preferences instead but can't find viewport or Measuring Tool Units
I brought a sphere into my project, I edited the subdivisions, when I close this tap how can I bring it back again to edit more ? I believe you forgot to mention this because I literally watched the whole chapter just to get this info but no success.
У вас очень крутая подача материала. Возможно лучшая на ютубе. Спасибо.
ps Понятно, почему вы моделируете в анриал, но мне страшно осознавать сколько людей теперь будет делать это в движке :D
Thank you so much for doing this!
This tutorial is amazing!! Thank you for your efforts. Question, do you have a tutorial on the channel where you use Polycam? I see that it has infinite possibilities along with UE5 and other things. Greetings from Venezuela.
Yes we have two videos using Polycam for Drone Photogrammetry and Gaussian Splatting

hello, when i try to open the orthographic projection so i can measure the hangar its not working, completely dark, is this common, if so how do i fix? Thanks for the amazing tutorials very fun to follow along
Whenever I check Rounded corners and try to finish my line Unreal Engine crashes and I can't move from this point.
You should try to create the models in a separate, blank map
I have a problem man , When i switch from perspective to orthographic view , it doesn't appear like yours , its completely black for me , where I can only see a pivot
when i bring any mesh like cube or stairs once i placed it i couldnt make any changes and even after placing a mesh a new one is coming along with my cursor
trying to learn. very good teachers
Thanks for these tutorials. Great so far. Is there an alternate way to measure the wireframe hanger rather than the middle mouse key? TIA
you guys are awesome!!
Not sure why but when I select the "left" orthographic view and enable wireframe the camera becomes blank gray. Panning in/out with the zoom does nothing and neither do my movements around the frame. Thoughts? Also, the warning does not appear either.
thanks so much !!!
Absolutely ❤️
best tutorial for sure
mind blowing omg
How come when i go into the left view mode it only shows a grey screen? It doesn't show any of the grid or anything. I deleted my original hangar to try and make a new one that is a little cleaner, but now I cannot get to that view mode....
After accepting the model it shows the object in line form instead of solid colour
I can't follow this tutorial. It crashes when I'm making the mesh and turning on rounded corners. Please update this tutorial and provide another way to make the shape. I'm new to unreal and can't proceed to the next part because it keeps crashing.
I am not able to accept after using cube grid , getting a pop-up saying I can not modify the built-in asset
The Pride of Iranian Artists
Hey there, been using this tutorial and enjoying it so much. I ran into a problem though. I can not for the life of me get the measuring tool to work. I tried the mentioned method in Orthographic view, but nope. Then I found and alternative method of clicking the middle mouse button and pressing the down arrow, but also nope. Help please :D
Sir the fire is not interacting with the cube ho to do it to make it ultra realistic
my UE just appearing nothing after i click from perspectif to left (orthographic). anybody can help? (on minutes 19.28)
Amazing guys
I can't move around when using extrude path. But you guys can.can you please tell me why that is ?. It's annoying
When I click on 'accept' after using the cube grid tool, it doesn't work and I receive the message 'cannot modify built-in engine'. To fix this, I created a new level, but I'm unsure why this happened
Finished part 2 - Going through part 3
When I use CubeGrid and press accept I get an error: "cannot modify built in engine asset cube grid floor"
Can i round the corners after creating the object? Or only during creation?
When I'm trying to use cube grid, it's shows cannot modify built in engine asset please help
Hey guys I'm not able to see the measurement option in the settings. There is no drop down menu called "Level Editor" in my project settings. Can anyone pls help??
Hi, the view port is empty when i changed into orthographic mode(Left side view) and object appeared if changed to perspective mode. please help to fix this guys.
