Making Modular-Type Sequences with the Nord Drum 3P and Ableton Live

- In this video I want to share with you how you can create generative, modular type patches with the Nord Drum 3P and Ableton Live. You can modulate almost all parameters with LFOs individually per Pad, making the Nord Drum 3P some strong 6 voice polyphonic synthesizer where the individual voices can be triggered separately. I'm also using a super amazing device from Tobi @abletondrummer , which makes the process way more convenient!

Is it possible for me to do that exact type of set up, but with Maschine instead of Ableton? (Mk3 & Software?) That will be literally amazing! Cheers
I think yes. I don’t know Maschine well, but as long as it can send out midi CCs it should be possible!

I noticed some midi "fake" signal that trigger sounds randomly when i try to connect my nd3p to mac thru ZOOM u44.
I usually like to have both treshold and sensivity to max because I love nd's dynamics.
Do you know something about issues like this?
Thank you 💚 Hmm. Sometimes if you fasten the pad in a non-optimal way the body can resonate and create false triggers. Unfortunately the pad is quite sensitive for that. So I check if all screws are tight or if it touches something that it shouldn't.
but the triggers appears after plugging cables, not when I hit the pads…
@@enzimacimino Oh okay. That's really weird indeed... difficult to guess from the distance. Maybe you can try some other midi cables/interface to check if the same problem occurs with different gear.
It seems like Tobi's editor is the only option that actually works

@@JannisLeWolff yep, i've send you email about vst editor from one polish developer. Unfortunately it's too hard to route for me, there's some difficulties with third app for virtual midi port 🥲
@@JannisLeWolff nope, i know only 2 options for a monent, and i expect to try one from abletondrummer. 20$ is not 7$, but i desperately need a tool for normal sound management with Nord Drum 3P

@@JannisLeWolff yeah, there's some mess with nicknames and emails from 2000s) As i work in Ableton M4L stuff is ok, but i tried Bitwig and had some plans to work in it in a future instead of Live, so the VSTs will also be an alternative in that future.
