Who does this? Legit no other artists at his level spend the time or energy to give us this kind of content showcasing what it takes to make a fire track. Hats off to James for constantly giving back to us fans to help us grow and make better stuff
That’s because many DJs are not producers and therefore using other real producers make a record for them…. James is both a great DJ and a skilled producer that’s the real reason 🎉
Jauz did something similar w his demo roulette series those are really cool too
Deadmau5
@@mikaelholmstrom2513 Honestly yeah, I agree with that. Ppl who can't produce won't go on video showcasing their skills because they have none haha
@@chitalian22 u right u right
WHO DOES THIS?!? Big up to Ben, I hope you love the track after James got his Hype to it, I think it’s fire and you’ve got a legit banger here! Nice one James 😎
I love to see a genius at work; the creative process is a science with you!
@@bettinaouaknine823 hahahahaha
Creating that stabby long noise to sidechain another long midi note is actually really fucking creative. normally id just attempt to sound design the original sound in serum and get pissed off when its nothing like i hoped 😂
I'm back again to say didn't realise how powerful this idea actually is at first lol. When your making a bass stab you could literally cough into a mic and use it shape a filter etc. The possibilities are endless, you can literally "steal" any motion or groove from any clear sound.
what time is that trick shown?
@@AndrewChin-ck9uk God knows brother watch the video. He makes a serum noise that didn't have much rythym to it. Then creates a click track and meshes the 2
@@AndrewChin-ck9uk roughly about half way through
You should try slappin an auto pan effect on your serum sound. Use the phase knob to create what he did with that sidechain. Then automate the rate or slap an lfo on the rate. You"ll be amazed.
Thanks for a master class!
You are here to change the game and not to profit from it, that's why I admire you, with shows and tours you still have time yo drop us some content, cheers mate
Love this, and seeing all the plugins you use, fast and informative.
More of this James! Just learned so much. Thank you 🫶🏽
Such great tips on how to make a track sound less flat and dry. I personally struggle with this a lot. Thanks James for being such inspiration and help to all beginner producers!
You are a legend James! I'm just gettng into edm production but It's so refreshing to have someone like you giving us these amazing techniques :D
What I love about James that he’s giving back to the community ❤
Ben needs to come up with more ideas like this 🔥

Love this kind of vids … wish they are longer ❤
This needs to be released, this is amazing! Well done James.
This is pure gold! Thank you for the in depth look! ✨💕
You have just made me realize how little I can do, but at the same time you have inspired me.
Great work! As an Ableton NOOB I can appreciate just how difficult it is to make what you did look so easy!
This is actually far more helpful than I think it was intended to be - huge fan of this as a new producer
I like your style of producing, it’s very easy to follow what you’re doing and tell what’s happening when you tweak up certain sounds and why they make the song sound better
Lovin these videos of making tracks keep it going 🔥
I’ve only been watching your videos for a few days and man, you’re becoming a favorite. Good video, fantastic DJ, and now you’re making music too?! You made it look so easy. I’m a subscriber now, can’t get enough.

I loved Ben's version. It was eerie. But then it got turned into a mainstream house track. But tips are amazing yeah, thanks for that.
Very nice evolution of that track
Ben is talented Keep grinding brother!
WHO DOES THIS?!? You're an absolute legend for doing this. BIG INSPIRATION for upcoming people and even for medium tier producers who suffers from writer's block.

Need to learn how to use that gate effect 👌🏼
love this content right now
Serious stuff right here❤!
James, I would love to see if you could do something cool with the Acapella from Billy Idol's white wedding! Particularly the spoken part towards the end of the song!
Really helpful seeing all the processing that goes into this. But would be amazing to find a video/ online lesson that explains in detail what all of these processing tools/ effects do and how to use them all. Limiter, Bus, auto filter, etc etc!
you tube
bro there are so many videos explaning all this here on youtube, in fact I've watched them all haha
