Who does this? Legit no other artists at his level spend the time or energy to give us this kind of content showcasing what it takes to make a fire track. Hats off to James for constantly giving back to us fans to help us grow and make better stuff
That’s because many DJs are not producers and therefore using other real producers make a record for them…. James is both a great DJ and a skilled producer that’s the real reason 🎉
Love the fact that you honest enough to point out whats crap and needed improving, but also mentions the good that he brought to the song so he doesnt feel like a complete looser.

Such great tips on how to make a track sound less flat and dry. I personally struggle with this a lot. Thanks James for being such inspiration and help to all beginner producers!
Creating that stabby long noise to sidechain another long midi note is actually really fucking creative. normally id just attempt to sound design the original sound in serum and get pissed off when its nothing like i hoped 😂
I'm back again to say didn't realise how powerful this idea actually is at first lol. When your making a bass stab you could literally cough into a mic and use it shape a filter etc. The possibilities are endless, you can literally "steal" any motion or groove from any clear sound.
@@AndrewChin-ck9uk God knows brother watch the video. He makes a serum noise that didn't have much rythym to it. Then creates a click track and meshes the 2
You should try slappin an auto pan effect on your serum sound. Use the phase knob to create what he did with that sidechain. Then automate the rate or slap an lfo on the rate. You"ll be amazed.
WHO DOES THIS?!? Big up to Ben, I hope you love the track after James got his Hype to it, I think it’s fire and you’ve got a legit banger here! Nice one James 😎
You are here to change the game and not to profit from it, that's why I admire you, with shows and tours you still have time yo drop us some content, cheers mate
The funny thing of watching this video is that you make it look everything so easy.. it takes years to master Ableton Live at this level!.. Thanks for sharing!
Really like how you preserved the essence of the initial beat, but then again really stylized it in a clearly superior way. Very interesting and informative, makes me appreciate house a little bit more.
Wow! This was so helpful. Thank you. I love the part when he takes the first chunk of the lead sound, Reverses it as a way to introduce the initial lead better. WIll be using this technique
@james hype You’re a absolute legend Imagine making a tutorial on how to really add a layers to a song and teaching how certain effects can be used Without making a tutorial! I learn more off your videos then I do off others actual tutorials And your tunes are always bumpin Keep doing your ableton videos man they’re 🔥
Really helpful seeing all the processing that goes into this. But would be amazing to find a video/ online lesson that explains in detail what all of these processing tools/ effects do and how to use them all. Limiter, Bus, auto filter, etc etc!
I like your style of producing, it’s very easy to follow what you’re doing and tell what’s happening when you tweak up certain sounds and why they make the song sound better
Thanks James, you are amazing and I admire your fast and efficient style of working, you know exactly what a track needs. Curious what you would do with my unfinished idea-tracks :=)
Brother you are the best!Sharing is caring, please keep sharing your love for music and keep inspiring the electronic music community. You are making history!
WHO DOES THIS?!? You're an absolute legend for doing this. BIG INSPIRATION for upcoming people and even for medium tier producers who suffers from writer's block.
James, I would love to see if you could do something cool with the Acapella from Billy Idol's white wedding! Particularly the spoken part towards the end of the song!
Probably would have layered the vocals with a -12 semitone transposition and warped them a bit more cuz it still sounds a little off, but regardless, hats off mate 😎🤠
That was pretty cool watching you do that. I can only imagine the man-hours that have been put in to get to that stage. I wish I could commit like that lol.
Gobsmacked at the level your at now James. It’s madness bro, becoming an absolute master in abelton. Anything you make now just goes with an absolute bang 💥 Well done 🔥

This is actually far more helpful than I think it was intended to be - huge fan of this as a new producer

You have just made me realize how little I can do, but at the same time you have inspired me.
James you are a pure entertainer - creative, energetic and healthy for the bass community. Respect
Fascinating to watch and listen too. Always dj but never produced. Such a cool thing to be able to do.
Everyone needs to work with a James Hype at some point, Ben was just lucky to work with the best of the james Hypes
Amazing, fun quick nuggets of gold for every producer, would love to ping pong my ideas with you, all the best to you my man!!!
you wanna pingpong your ideas with a successful/established international headlining act? no way? thats nuts man
