I hope Baylon and Shin both have large parts in the show. I find the dark side and the Sith have such amazing lore and interesting characters. I wish we could get something cinematic that focused on that.
These are worthy adversaries for Ahsoka. She is very powerful and a highly skilled lightsaber duelist and needs a credible threat for good fighting scenes.
Ahsoka at the moment is probably the best saber duelist in the galaxy with the possible exception of Luke, these two need to be up there to challenge her
In my temporary head canon, Baylon was an Imperial Knight that went with Thrawn into the unknown regions, and Shin is his daughter born while the 7th fleet was away. Whoever they turn out to be, I can't wait to see the series! Go Grandmaster Dave! This is the Way.

Definitely could be an Order 66 survivor hiding out in the unknown regions where he met or was rescued by Thrawn and now serves him, believing that both the Jedi and Sith have failed the galaxy. It is time for a new order to bring peace to the galaxy and he represents that order
When you said a dead army and night sisters; it reminded me of the ending of the pc game Star Wars empire of war: forces of corruption. Left on a cliffhanger but seeing that ancient army gave me goosebumps.
Now knowing both of their fighting styles I want to see them fight Ahsoka 2v1. Whether a win or loss I think it’ll be another testament to the skill and power of Ahsoka and introduce us to how good they are apart but how even more deadly of a team Shin & Baylon are when they team up and coordinate their attacks.

I dont know what shape her joints are in, but when I was 45 mine werent in too hot of shape for alot of jumping and flipping and twisting! I still like the theory that he is a corrupted Jedi (or child of a Jedi) that was a part of the Outbound Flight. This would explain why a human with Jedi training existed in the unknown regions and has connections with Thrawn

I gotta say: I'm already in love with Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati...and I barely know anything about them. Love their orange-hued lightsabers. Ironically, I want them both to be redeemed, and join The Light Side Of The Force again, and become heroes, or, at least, insanely cool antiheroes who are allies to Luke, Ahsoka, Ezra, and Grogu.
What about Jedi sentinels from the book “The Path of the Jedi” they had orange lightsabers and would rely more on common people skills like robotics. Also they were the ones that were separated from the Jedi temple and would find force sensitive children in the more remote worlds and bring them to the temple for training.
Im really liking the slight hue changes for the classic colors, like ahsokas yellowish green short blade and the cyan and indigo variants from fallen order
I've not read any of the books, but I believe that during the High Republic era, lightsabres had a much greater variety of colours. This opens the path for greater colour variety in Clone War era (even if the Jedi Order seems to be actively supressing non green and blue blades) and post Endor eras
Just made the connection between the characters Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati with Norse Mythology. Skoll (one who mocks) and Hati (one who hates) better known as the two wolves who chase the sun and moon near Ragnarok.
Really curious to see how this all pans out. In thinking how Heir to the Empire could've served as the basis for the Disney trilogy, I imagined Joruus C'baoth instead being a cloned Dooku played by Charles Dance. I wonder if Baylon will ultimately be filling a similar role.

I'm trying to remember now - did the Rebels TV series end before The Rise of Skywalker movie came out? We saw Ahsoka return to Lothal, pick up Sabine, and leave, presumably to find Ezra and bring him home. We heard Ahsoka's voice among the Jedi spirits who called out to Rey to rise up during the Battle of Exegol. That suggests she's dead, though someone, Dave Filoni perhaps, said that Ahsoka's fate was unclear, and it was planned that way. But assuming she's dead, most likely scenario - she and Sabine go looking for Ezra. Did they find him? Unknown. But they did find something that hinted at the existence of the First Order or even the Final Order. They go to investigate, get caught, and are executed. Sad, but an end to their story with definite closure. From her cameos in The Mandalorian, she learned what happened at the end of Rebels, and figured finding Thrawn would be the key to finding Ezra. Understandable. So she probably finds a solid lead, a solid direction, picks up Sabine, and there they go. End result is the same as above. Now it seems that there's a lot more going on. From the Chiss Ascendancy and Thrawn novels, Thrawn may have served Palpatine and the Empire, but his first loyalty was the Chiss Ascendancy. He served Palpatine so he could get into a position where he could protect the Chiss Ascendancy from external threats using Imperial resources. He was also in a position to keep Imperial eyes from looking towards the Chiss Ascendancy for as long as possible. By the end of the second Thrawn novel, that wasn't possible. By the end of the third Thrawn novel, Palpatine had figured out where Thrawn's loyalties truly lied. Palpatine might have wanted to end Thrawn, but he still had his uses. Had things gone differently at the end of Rebels, Thrawn would probably have been killed by Palpatine because of his divided loyalties. But... Now it seems that Thrawn is alive. Presumably back in the Ascendancy and ready to return to the greater galaxy. But for a different reason. Maybe he's found clues about the First Order and/or Final Order, and knows now he won't be able to ingratiate himself into those militaries like he did with the Empire. He began preparing for the conflict with the First Order/Final Order, and he came across Baylon and Shin. He got them to join him, knowing that if the First Order/Final Order is going to have their version of Vader and/or the Inquisitors, he'll need his own group of Jedi. Now where does Ezra fit into this scenario? Could he have helped Baylon and Shin? Unlikely, as Shin is Baylon's apprentice, and Baylon's far more experienced. Does Ezra join them? Unknown. Is Ezra training a group of Jedi from amongst the races in the area where the Chiss Ascendancy exists? We'll find out, but I'm certain about one thing. The path might be more convoluted and might take a lot longer to traverse in terms of distance and time, but I think the end result will be the same as what I first stated.

What makes sense here is if these Jedi were survivors of order 66, it's possible that they were Jedi Sentinels and Watchmen with Yellow blades. Running around the greater galaxy, investigating crimes n such. Like Quinlan Vos. If the crystals got bled a little bit, it would probably cause the orange colouration. Then the fact they survived order 66 would be because they (or at least Baylan) wasn't even close to the temple.

Thrawn left her behind readily, and if he knows Baylan from earlier in the wars, then he knows they are seeking the Mortis Gods. Thrawn understands that they have a mission common to the dark side but a different path than his own. Whatever is going on with the Nightsisters and the coffins is undoubtedly going to take place on Dathomir when they return to the original galaxy.
Dark Lords want to sit on the throne of their Empire (Freedon Nad, Naga Sado & Exar Kun). Dark Jedi are more mercenary like. They pick and choose their paths and try to stay off the radar of Sith and Jedi.

Magick, the practice of dark side force abelites from the nightsisters in the planet Dathomir, does not corrupt the user in the decay of the body like the Sith fully embracing the dark side does. What excites me about the show is explorations in the different views on the force and the use of Magick in the Ahsoka Series.
I speculated 4 possibilities that Baylan could be a Sith Inquisitor. A Jedi who survived Order 66 who turned to the Dark Side. A Sith temple guard or an Imperial Knight.
Several Dark Jedi from the games with Kyle Katarn as the main character. I think the mutant Sith spawn Gorc and Pic each had a lightsaber with orange blades

I think if Ashoka goes to pull Kenobi into the world between world Baylon looks like an aged alternative version of Kenobi or Anakin. He's wearing clone wars era armor and shoulder cuffs... Their sabers look like lava crystals... Maybe from an alternate timeline.
If it was an orange lightsaber then I feel the inside would be white like all sabers with the lighting part orange. With this lightsaber the outer part is red with the inside part of the blade looking like a shade between red and orange. I feel it’s a custom lightsaber where the force user did something not so usual to the crystal.
What if these two were banished from the Jedi Order prior to Order 66? That would make them similiar to Ashoka except she left the Jedi Order on her own terms.
the VFX should be drastically improved just like during the prequels as during that time the lightsabers VFX were the best and now they are just hockey sticks. Hopefully they improve on this.

They're not megalomaniacs and they seem to have a genuinely respectful mentoring relationship, whereas the Sith were a constant threat to each other.

If it was an orange lightsaber then I feel the inside would be white like all sabers with the lighting part orange. With this lightsaber the outer part is red with the inside part of the blade looking like a shade between red and orange. I feel it’s a custom lightsaber where the force user did something not so usual to the crystal.

the VFX should be drastically improved just like during the prequels as during that time the lightsabers VFX were the best and now they are just hockey sticks. Hopefully they improve on this.
