    Serosity, I do not know why You do not have a million subscribers. My Dad would have drooled over your shop. Funny, smart educational. You have cleaned up your potty mouth (somewhat), so I am going to start watching with my 7 yo son. Keep up the good work. I am pulling for ya. David McGuinn

    Dude that table would be perfect for somebody just getting started. Even if you were working on a handrail or something long you could always buy one of those adjustable roller stands for like a hundred bucks.

      Even just moving the one to a different location could help, depending on what you're making

    Now I'm curious what you'll think of the fireball tools table. It's a whole different league in price of course, but it looks amazing with all of the tooling.

    • @melgross
      @melgross ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Overpriced for what it is. And he’s locked you into only buying his tooling for it.

      My fireball experience was only for $1300 but did not go well at all. I feel like the whole biz is ran from another state from his shop and it’s essentially drop shipped for him. And yes you buy into his size table and you are stuck if you think it will make a difference you need them I guess it’s worth it.

      Next week's video is a pure fabrication / build video! We've had a lot of ongoing long term fabrication projects that we are finally finishing up, so the coming weeks will be packed. We have fun doing some reviews, but they are by no means what this channel is all about. So we completely understand and agree with that concern! Thanks for watching and sticking around - Walker

      @@LiftArcStudios glad some fab projects are coming up.
      The whole commercial of the week is the main reason I unsubscribed from abom79 and other channels.

    • @LiftArcStudios
      @LiftArcStudios  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@samuraidriver4x4 Yeah that's totally understandable, we've had many internal discussions on how to best avoid that. Which is why even in videos like this we always try to include some real fabrication and put tools to use, but I know it's not the same. To be completely transparent, the last few videos we put out were because I've been catching up on editing after getting back from Europe a few weeks ago. It was tricky coming back and trying to figure out what had been filmed, what builds were worth showing, which ones were complete, etc etc 😅Product / review stuff is much more straightforward to timeline as far as editing goes. But now that I'm back in the flow of things I have a better grasp on all the fab projects and how to turn them into videos! - Walker

      Even if it does, it's their channel, they can do what they want. Abom enjoys his life and what he does. Why is that an issue?

    Right on👍 i can see just using the fixture top on the bench alone for small jobs would definately work out just fine with out the legs mounted. Nice project glad it all worked out, keep them comin fellas🤘😎

    I'm team whatever fits your needs.
    Personally I use obscenely gigantic tables, think mine weigh as much as your shop. 6'x12' with a 1" thick top and 1/2" webbing underneath and a 5'x10' with 3/4 top and 3/8 webbing, both cast iron. Of course I also build things that need that heavy of a table. Since I've got the giant ones I don't see a need (or any space) to have a small one for the small projects I work on.
    If you don't do anything big or heavy and don't need much clamping pressure then the small 1/4" tables are perfect, more clamping pressure requires a thicker top so you don't deform around the holes.

    I just got my Acrflat table last Friday! I was very impressed! It is funny that this video popped up to watch AFTER I got my table! lol I have a friend going to make me some alignment pins and stops for the "fixture" side of using it since Fireball tool is out of everything that I would like to get. I would definitely recommend for a "affordable" table.

    I am not a commenter on socials, however I need to comment on Wyatt’s intervention on the opinion on the smaller table. Sincere or not, the vibe feels real, as does pretty much everything on this channel.Also, it’s just lovely how Walker includes this on his edit. Probably not the first one, but just need to let you all know that LAS (just las the word) in Dutch means “weld” (as in welding bead).

I reinforced the legs. Was planning to buy one of the Lanmuir plasma cnc,hopefully the new company doesn't mess that up.

    not bolting them together allows you to space the tables apart to be able to lay on clamp down and weld longer stuff when needed
    as for the strutbrace , yeah sure needed to be cheap , than again a little grinding on the strip connecting the two pieces making them fit flush with the bars there welded on and then mounting the tri angles at an angle so they flowed off the existing bracket intoo the tube that was moved wouldve made the piece look more factory for about the same amount of materials and welding (just a bit more time fitting the pieces in there and maibe heat up the point to bend it down to conform to the shape of the bar or fill it with weld to be shaped with a grinder ), the guy himself couldve done the finish grinding sanding and polishing and rounding off on those pieces to make them flow like the original bracket to the struts
    the guy is going to show of his work and the adaptation of the brace is right there for all to see and a billboard / showcase for the work you do in youre shop you want it to look nice so others will want the same thing
    can still do most of the grinding and then and just weld some thin stainless sheetmetal over it to cover over the bracing and make it look nicer (bends eazier too )

  • @HEX_NATION
    @HEX_NATION ปีที่แล้ว

    I had my company purchase 4 of these and while they work fine i could not use most of the strong hand tools i already had because of the table’s thickness. I would strongly recommend buildpro’s tables or Fireball. All depending on what fixturing kits you may have already. Siegmunds great too but their fixtures, even on the imperial models are 16mm.
    Additionally the holes on these are 16mm which makes using 5/8” fixtures (sloppy)

    If I had two of these, I would use their legs for the ends. I would then fab a “Y” connector for the middle of the tables that would screw into the countersunk holes for a leg that I would weld on to the end of the “Y”, giving good support with one leg in the middle on each side. There are ways to mount a top to legs with wheels that won’t distort the table on a non perfectly flat floor (every floor that exists!). Wheels, which I put on everything that I build, pretty much, is generally a no no for welding/fixture tables, unfortunately, because they disallow any way of having a truly flat table

    Did your friend regret cutting that strut bar? He basically made it useless having you remove the main cross brace for the shock towers and took all the strength and basically the entire point of it out. That probably made his card handle like shit after that.

    You’re big ass gigantic table is in desperate need of a scotch brite clean and strip XT pro disc. 😂 On a serious note, you’re really gonna want to buy like a 10 pack of them for your angle grinders. They are bad ass man they remove paint, rust, and mill scale in a hurry… Not even joking and they last a long time too… I just cleaned a piece of angle iron with it. I swear man, that’s the cleanest angle iron I’ve ever seen in my life and it had some bad scale on it. I wiped the greasy oil off first with some acetone. I’m not sure if that would make it clog or not but either way I didn’t want to smear that into the clean metal.

    All the welding tables I’ve seen on the market just focus on the surface of the table only… The legs that support the table which is just as important if not more is like a after from the designers… Except for the table from fireball tools 🛠️ another TH-cam welding fabrication channel… It’s extremely expensive but it’s a well designed table that’s flat as flat could be that’s manufactured and fabricated to an extremely high spec… He also excellent fixtures,angles and accessories that welders need when fabricating highly crafted pieces of work… It’s a shame really it’s bad design that’s not well thought out …
