    The Fronius MIG machines really are amazing; you have steel, ally, & stainless settings, CO2, Argon, or mix settings, & thickness settings. If set-up properly it's REALLY difficult to make a bad weld.

    I made the big mistake of demo a Fronius machine at my supplier. That same week I ended then ended up selling all my Miller equipment and purchased both Fronius I-Wave TIG and TPSi MIG machines. Be careful trying them or could end up like me, I think they are that good. On the other hand I found Fronius consumables a bit pricey but they actually do seem to last longer as well so that may be a moot point.

    Fun demo to watch! I'am more familiar with watercooled PCs, but yeah, one leaky fitting can ruin your da(y)te! 🤪
    If you run a 170A at 22V that's 3740W. I reckon you don't draw that current continously, but there has to be some badass zappy electronics in there, to deliver those peak amps right when they are needed. Here in my neck of the woods, standard outlets are rated 3520W. But that is still less than what that thing delivers.

    I use a Fronius trans pocket stick machine mobile. For TIG welding I use Gold tungsten for just about everything also chartreuse is another that will run all metals and modes. I will be trying that next tbh

    I have a everlast 221sti. I kick my own ass for not waiting until the upgraded interface came out. I love my welder it does everything I want and more. It was the worlds first ACDC mutiprocess mig tig stick. I had to have that tech then and 7 years ago when I purchased it I paid $2200 and could of now had not only the newer interface but a 250 amp machine for less. But I am very very happy with going everlast and I have had nothing but good things to say to anyone in the market.

    I had the luck to start learning Tig on a Microtec and this exact Fronius, and while complex and as a begginer i was lost in all the settings, there wasnt any guessing involved, if i set it up right it worked.

    If Fronius pricing is in line (cheaper?!) than Miller or others, then I would go with Fronius for sure. They make very nice machines, with all the latest tech and durability. However, a Fronius machine really isn't going to do a whole lot more than something like an Everlast for most things. So if you are not welding every day or if you care about price/performance ratio, Everlast or something like that is the way to go.

    Does anyone have a fronius cu600 cooler? I'm building my own cooler for a magicwave 230i and I've already figured out how to turn on the pump and fan but I need a few pictures of the cooler harness to figure out how the flow and temperature sensor and coolant level are connected. Can anyone help me because there are no pictures or diagrams on the internet?

    As an owner of multiple fronius machines, I want to see everyone push them because they are amazing machines. However the other half of me doesn’t want everyone to want them because their prices are downright reasonable and I don’t want them to go up!

      The more they sale the lower they should get. I would love to demo one. I think this old tony was my very first place to see one used. I am pure in it for a hobby at this point and my little 221sti everlast handles everything I need and then some. I have welded with about all big box store machines at some point. Everlast impressed me for the money.

    I couldn't weld worth a damn with my Millermatic 250. My wife bought me a Fronius 220 & I built so much stuff like I could really weld; I couldn't believe it! My supply lines on the Miller used to get WARM when doing 1/2 aluminum. The Fronius only uses 16.8 amps on 220v. The welder & water cooler only weigh 56#. Had the welder 20 years now & it has never let me down & works like brand new. Still can't weld with other brands, but Fronius makes me a pro.

    The thing about TIG welding is there is a whole line TIG welding from just regular carbon steel that any good decent you know TIG welder Prime what do just fine matter of fact a prime welder will do good on stainless and aluminum and all these things where you get into the high dollar ones and everything is when you're an aerospace type welding do you need to have art controls that go all the way down 25 and 8 maybe 12 amps and hold a good Ark on a very thin piece of expensive metal and that's really it is you know I mean everybody don't need a dynasty to do what they do you know if you fabricate on cars and stuff like that you really don't need that I mean unless you just want it, really the only time you really need to hide in ones like I said is when you are dealing with Specialty Metals and you need some real good Precision welding arks holding its shape and it's the whole nine yards you know to bring out you know these 2000s of an inch weld and they're so thin they're like you know it's kind of like buying a Corvette or a Ferrari you don't need it get you from A to B no different than you know a $3000 car you bought out of somebody's front yard even a $1500 car you bought out if somebody's front yard it's just the style and how you get there, that might be a different story when you're calling it that but far as getting from A to B in it, you can get from A to B in both

  • @welderfixer
    @welderfixer 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Fronius machines produce a fantastic arc and weld awesome, but the build of the machine is made with typical delicate "wimpy" European style parts. Certainly not as rugged as older USA made machines. It seems like all welding machines are becoming "Chinesium" build quality and durability. Currently, I think welders(really everything) are only built to last to the end of the warranty. Maybe not even that long. And, don't dare ask manufacturers for parts to repair welding machines over 5 years old. It's really sad at the moment, but I have high hopes that our USA based welding equipment manufacturers will get back to building machines that you can pass on to your grandchildren and still be repairable with common parts.
