You did an excellent job, the accessories and their flexibility is not an easy thing to design be proud of yourself. I can’t believe how little you are charging.
Hey big thanks! It,s not easy to put a price tag on something like this, I prefered have itmore affordable, so even the guy that wants a 2'x2' table will not break his bank!
seeing this, there is no excuse to fab shop professionally on a bent 4x8 with some wood clamps! Great effort Viny!
Thanks 👍
Looks like an awesome table, fair price on the plans, I'll definitely be shopping here when I get the space for a table!
Nice! 👌
absolutely love this! I was about to start drawing all of this stuff out for a DIY Fixture table in my new shop but I believe you have just gained a customer for those table and fixture plans! I work for a metal shop here in Montana so I have access to the laser tables!
@@Shed.therapy Glad that the plans will help you building your welding table!
You could always rig up some linear rails on the side and build a 'flattening jig' to get it near perfect. Awesome project, really enjoyed watching
Glad you liked it!
I was wondering what you have been up to lately…. I am (a lot) jealous ! Good job !
Merci mon chum!
Looks like something we would make up in the shop if we needed a fixture table exactly like something we would make up in the shop actually nice job dude
Thanks mate!
Im only 3 mins into the video , and this is already the best ideas Ive seen , well done.
Well is not 100% my idea...others had made this kinda of tables...but the accesories is 100% mine, with the blocks, pins and clamps!
@@VinyB57 the test jig is the outstanding part , so you actually get what you expect ,,
@@tomthompson7400 Yes, since I can t garantee the accuracy of any laser supplier in the world...you need to do that test part to get the right fit, you re looking for!!
Very well designed... and assembled! My wife does not compare... she only makes me feel cheap! Merci et à la prochaine!
I prefer beeb compaured then feeling cheap 😅
I love this channel already
Hey thanks Don!👍
3 minutes in... and I am amazed with your approach. Great job!
Hey thanks mate! 👍
Viny, you have a lot of time involved in this project. I wish you the best luck on your adventures. You deserve it. Excellent job with the editing. This is one of the best DIY projects I have seen in a long time. Watch them phalanges and be safe. Cheer's🍷
Hey big thanks Robert! Oh yes, a lot of time was involved in this one...and still!! I spend the entire week end in the shop, working on and with the table!!! It s really a incredable piece of equipment! 🤯 Thanks for you kind comment!:👍👌
Fucking BRAVO, Viny ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Nicely done. You're right... it's not a Fireball table, but it also costs a tenth as much. For most of us hobby fab guys, this table is more than capable. I own several Fireball squares and they are top notch, totally worth the price, but I still do my work on a 40 year old fixture table I bought at an auction 15 years ago. It's not perfect, but it's flat enough for my needs. Great job pal.
Hey thanks buddy! Glad you appreciated my design and video! 👍
Not knowing the prices of alternatives i do know that for 1500 usd that is a lot of tool. And i agree with your reasoning about who this table is for vs. the competitors. Great build and narration!
Thanks...I paided mine, just the table, 975, amd I found similar products to be around 4k$ for the laser plates ...plus shipping! 🤯
Probably obvious to most viewers, but just for the newbies: watch out for the coating on those clamps, vise-grips, etc... it can be really nasty to breathe. Best to grind it off in the weld zone before welding.
The cure for galvanize poisoning is lactic acid. When working with galvanized, a glass of milk or a plain white yogurt keeps you out of the doctor's office.
Fantastic video and product. Thanks for making this available.

You're now my favorite francophone youtuber. That puts the other one in second place :D.
Ok thanks...I guess! 😅
Nice design, especially the accessories!
Thanls mate! 👌
love the videos you're putting out!
Hey thanks buddy!👍
Love your videos. Just a guy in a shop building useful items. Thanks for the inspiration Viny
@@yoti-fab Glad you like it
Absolutely amazing!
Those are some great tolerances regardless of the type of work you do! Anything better and the price tag would probably triple.
Im 100% with you ! 👍
One recomendation. You had your parts cut from hot rolled plate. There exist a plate specialy for laser cutting. It is heat treated and won't warp nearly as much.
Ah! Pretty sure my little local supplier didn't have that, do you know how much more it is?
great video and product! if i had a big enough workshop id definitively look into getting your plans. also, might be a good idea to change the battery in your smoke detector with all that welding you do. Just in case. One never knows what can happen.
For real what smoke detector?! 🤷♂️ I don t have one in my shop...too much smoke!! Think about a small 2x2 has a start...if you don t have a big shop!
@@VinyB57my bad, sorry. Could swear i heard a smoke detector beeping in a fair few shots in your video. apologies. A 2x2 table would be nice. but even that's to big for my "workshop" (firewood shed) unfortunately. all floor-space i have is about 3x3 meters if i'm being generous, and most of that is taken up by other stuff.
Great video. Excellent build, job well done, thanks for sharing. Cheers
Good job bro, you got a new subscriber, smiling the hole way through, and the little woman 😂kept asking what I was grinin about, though I was watching sumthin else lol
😂 Glad you enjoyed it and welcome aboard
Love your work and the quality!
Thanks 👍💪✌
Much appreciated!
C’est malade ta table ! J’ai hate de voir d’autres projet 👍🏾
Oh yes! On va la voir dans tous mes prochains projets! 🤩
Just throwing this out there, I sent the test piece for the holes to 4 laser shops in/around the Houston area, the cheapest price I got back for a 5" X 3.5" X 3/8" plate to get cut to test the pins was $285! (I'm in the wrong business)
What! That's insane!
@@VinyB57 Update, I did have a quote come in at a cheaper price of $255 and the highest price being $335.
As a reference, what did your test piece with the holes cost?
@@adventurefilms OK, for 3 test plates, cause I wanted to test tune at the beginning of the design 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 all at once...for the 3 plates: 86.87$ CAD...so like 62U$D. For only the 3/8'' test plate it was: 20.55+tx CAD I mean, it's a really small plate...285! 🤯Stupid!
Wow.. Super! J'ajoute ca a ma whish/todo list. un jour surement!
Oui, ca t en prend une! 👍
I wish I had a table like that! Maybe someday.

What makes me happy is that there is (OK very fare away over the ocean) someone as crazy as I am. Love you projects an videos. AND, no, considering your wife concerns about you investments, you are not alone. We are at least 2. But, who cares?
100% with you, I do like how my wife conpare EVERYTHING with vacation trips! Even the internet bills !😅 It very entertaining! 😁
Viny your wife is not the only one, my wife looks at my projects and expense as vacation trips, new car, cloths, TV etc. I hear it all the time. Especially when I buy tools. Especially tools. Yup its definitely the tools. And materials as well LOL. Funny, she wants a new kitchen and I was thinking more inline a row of pop and vending machines, much more practical and convenient. Na, she wont go for that, I'm best not to even suggest it. 🤐
Yes you better 🤐 🤣
Thank you a lot from the EU folks for metric one!!
One day we all have the same system...Imperial!!! 😅 Not! Can wait we all are metric! Its doubling the amount of work I need to put in the same design!
My friends wife invites me along to their twice a year vacations to mexico resorts. I ask how much? She says about $3000. I say hello no, i could buy a shitty used car for 3k!!! Hahaha
3k$ per person?
@@VinyB57yeah! Its nutty
Really cool design process and amazing puns, insta sub!
Thanks Ivan! Welcome in the club😉
Thank you!! I've been fumbling through Fusion, but I am *far* from capable of something like this.
Dude, the amount of time it took me to fine tune de design! It's in weeks! 🤯 (ok...it's a lot of tables...108 ..🤦♂️)
@@VinyB57Yeah. I'm floored at the thoroughness. It's incredible! I wish I could do 108 designs in weeks. LOL. Trying to source a local laser cutter as SCS has a max size of 44x30.

Hey thanks! Sure will! 👍
I have no interest in building a welding table but this was funny enough to keep watching
At least, I entertained you, which is my main goal!
Viny is hilarious.
Great job
thanks!
Hey I've been to Dickville no laser cutting machines in that town
What! But I did found one! 🤣
Yoo Viny!!..F'ING AMAAAZING brother! EXACTLY what I was looking for!..I am Canadian but live in Indonesia, and i bought a few fixtures to test for squareness and trueness..3% out on a 150mm piece..so better just make it myself. I guess you dont have plans for a CNC plasma cutter do you? Cause I might as well make my own too. Keep up the AMAZING work. You area God-send :) Maybe we can work out a deal for some of the other sizes as a package deal because I am sure some of my former military friends would lovea tabel like this for Christmas.
a trip to cuba doesnt clean the driveway of snow . the trip to mexico doesnt pick her up when she breaks down with her car etc
just tell her that if she wants to go on holliday to get a job and pay for it herself
back to the welding / fixture table , one thing you might want to add is a large hole in the mounting plate for the legs , reason : if you drop sumting in one of the small fixture holes ( bolt nut pen watever ) the big hol in the plate alows you to fish it back out from underneath
Regarding the holes, all the ribs are opened up, so super easy to get acces if you drop a bolt where there's a leg plate!
But thanks for the comment! 👌
I'm glad I found your channel. 😂 you had me laughing from your jokes.
Yes!!! I did it! 👍 I made someone laugh! Glad you enjoyed!
Si c’est pas l’accent le plus québécois qui ya 😎
AH merde! chus démasqué! 😉
There are pins designed for holding your accessories tight both sideways and vertically to the table. They are not that expensive if you consider the cost of steel, spent time, functionality and visual quality differences. Also if you would chamfer hole edges, the pins go in smoother and if used with said mounting pins, the balls wont take damage as if they would when meeting a straight edge.
Are you talking about the pins with orings or the locking one with 3 ball bearing, cause I have 24 pins and a pack of 12 is 350$ CAD for the ball bearing ones....it adds to the cost, but it could be a good solution too!
@@VinyB57 I got myself some which got both orings and ball bearings. I paid around 200$ CAD for a 10 pack for 28mm system. It obviously adds to the cost but they actually hold tight by themselves. Maybe not necessary for a DIY'er but i would recommend trying them out anyway.
The joy of French Canadian swearing!
héhé criss oui mon ami!😉
I wish you all best in world ,stay strong
thank you
For what you pay, I would imagine the inaccuracy in the flatness, and the inaccuracy of your measurements, this table is better than some of the professional work tested by Fireball Tool in some of the videos he has done, I would love to see how accurate you could build some of his test pieces, awesome job
Hey thanks, that s what Im planning to do and no cheating, cause I want to see how good or bad it really is!!!
Реально КРУТОЙ ЧУВАК!!УВАЖАЮ !
Bridgeport Series 1 2J2 could have been a week in Whistler. I haven't even started the rebuild.
Wow Viny that is awesome! You have me sold and I want to do 12mm table version however I wonder if you could increase your hole tolerance by 1000 percent simply by under sizing the holes to use a reamer for final dimension and also one could use precision ground bar stock (say any size like 16mm, 25mm etc.) or machine dowels for your tooling pegs? I know it is a lot more work during the assembly, reaming all those holes. But I think it would be worth it and your table may end up being 99.95% perfect!! The cost of a good reamer and a few feet of precision ground bar stock or ground dowels is a small price to pay for the increase accuracy. Please let me know if that is something you would incorporate into that plans before I purchase a set. Cheers Joe
Yes, you could reduce the hole size and reamed them. But don't forget, typically, for welded structures, we don,t need to be ±0.1mm and by using the adjustable fences, at the end of the day, it's still your mesuring tape en skill that will set the distance between 2 fences 🤷♂️. So I'll be curious to know how long it would take you to reamed these 3.5 billion holes! 😅Let me know! 😁
@@VinyB57 Interesting reply. True about typical welded structures. But I think it would elevate your table to a higher standard with a slight investment in time and little more money. Most likely just behind Fireball's table. Well kind of close LOL. Now, if I have machined surfaced fixed standard jigs and using known shims I can achieve my measurement without spending time measuring and adjusting. Accurate and repeatable setups as needed, is that not the end game that we want to achieve? Besides, I don't mind spending months with a mag drill and reamer to make holes LOL. Regardless, what you have introduced here for us mortal viewers is an excellent tool that is a million times better that what I have now. I will be building one of your tables for sure.
Great video man 💯 👍
Hey thanks man
Fantastic!!!
Thanks buddy! Let me know when you need the plans..😉 I'll give a copy to Austin!
@@VinyB57 will do. I know Austin is planning on building one. There’s a place near by that has a kinetics (I think that’s what it’s called) that can drill cnc along with plasma or laser. I’m not sure the tolerances of it, but I imagine it wouldn’t be too bad.
I'm look forward to seeing if your table beats the fab shops fireball tested.
Thanks for the videos.
That s exactly what I m planning to do on the next vid!! But Im gonna take a small brake ( like a day or 2) I did a week of over 85 hours to get that video out! 🤦♂️ creating 108 table s dxf files took me 12.5 hours... 😅
This is a great idea! Not to show up Jason @ Fireball, but to prove to all the naysayers that a fixture table, even a cheaper option, is way better than trying to be precise on a flat plate of steel. Take the challenge and let's see the results.
Nice job.
Hey thanks
for sure worth the follow
Thanks Claudio!
lol, this is why my wife and I don't pool our income. We figure out our bills and how much we'd like to save for trips, then divide that based on our relative incomes. Every dime we make over that is our own to do with as we please. If I want tools, I don't have to ask. If she wants clothing an jewelry, she doesn't have to ask. It's awesome.
I agree with and we don t have a money pool either. But since we maried, was is mine is hers ..I guess...but I have a great wife and she never bug me with my purchases...except that little trip comparaison, which I find quite funny!
Those saw horses had me worried lol
me too! 😅
You motivate me ❤
Glad I did!! 👍😁
Great video. Did you use HR or CR 3/8" sheet for your table?
Pretty sure it s hotrold!
Hey viny, superbe projet.
Just bought your plans as my time has a value, and buying them from you was worth me NOT designing it!
Now to find a fab shop with laser and get a quote. I’m hoping to get the 1200 x 2100 in 12mm 😳
Oh yes...you have no idea how much hours I put in this design!! 😭 Have a good build, and send pics to my email, once the table is done!!
Just got the 12mm sheets laser cut and it looks great.
I now need to hire a fork lift to get it off the floor to weld 😂😂.
Cost of steel £1800 here in the uk - still cheaper than buying a kit one elsewhere.
I notice your vid says leg plans are in the files - I didn’t receive them 😢
@@keswickadventure Great news! (1800 👍) for the legs it's part number VIN-WFT-002-MM, or send me an email at design57@outlook.com, I'll send you a copy!
Ok, usually I like to wait until the end of the video to comment so I don't have to come back and edit it for future comments.
But, you live in Dickville? That's a place? I'm surprised I haven't been invited to move there yet...
It,s your lucky day my good sir...my neighbour is selling his house..😲 I think he was firm on the price tho...you know being in Dickville...🤪
@@VinyB57 Oh trust me. Neither of our wives want us to be neighbors.
Saludos desde Puerto Rico, i am a beginner in welding at my late age, my question at what temperature and amp do you set your welder for 14 gage steel welding. Thank you
Out of curiosity, why did you select laser cut parts over waterjet or plasma? I really like this design and am tooling into suppliers before buying the plans.
Hi mate, plasma is a no go, I have a plasma CNC and I know how un precise this thing is (compare to a laser) I didnt check how precise is a water jet , since where I live, for steel, laser is the best ans cheapest way to go! But waterjet, could work...but you would have to check with your local supplier 😁
Valooff toofff.... 🖤
The way my wife counts, The table costs as much as a few days at the track 😅
My wife told me my welding table was worth 2 family vacations.
🤣 At least, Im not the only one!
Then it is good. The table will be a game changer. An inaccurate tool will result in inaccurate work
Fireball tools wants to know your location
Edit: you mentioned fireball 20 seconds after i wrote this 😂
@@DynoRC Yep! 😅
Hey viny I just purchased the plans for the 6mm table.
I plan on cutting the 2400×1200. Is there a way I can figure out what the cutting times should be so that I dont need to send the files to evey cutting shop in my area to get a quote but rather just ask what they charge per hour? Thanks!!
Well, I have no clue what is the cutting time, but I guess you can ask their rate per hour regardless of that number. Have one quote made for that table with one supplier and ask them their rate then you could extrapolate that price with other suppliers by comparing different suppliers rate.
@VinyB57 ok so far a got quoted 7 hours for the cutting time and I got less time when I put the file into my plasma cutting software. I'll keep looking around. Thank you!
Curious to know what hardware store has those knock off vice grips or are they from Bezos boozoes with 3 day shipping to the maritimes? Enjoy your work and dry humour, keep it up. The best project for me yet has been the leaf pickup v2.0
Oh! The leaf pickup V2.0...it's been a while since I posted this project!
Where was this video two weeks ago? Been building my table from scrap and it's been a bear of a process.
IDK...in the making I guess! 🤷♂🤷♂
quick question, accessories parts can be painted or its not worth it? Greeting from Chile
I won't paint it! You'll loose precision. If you really want to protect it, oil, zinc coating or gavanized it! But it's costly! I won,t bother!
well done bra
The fireball will be pissed of sees this XD
He doesn't have too, his product is different then mine. The quality of what he offers is greater then what this table is capable!
A blind man would be proud
!!! 😅
Ok? It s that ugly to look at?🤔
No. I meant that the small deviations from being perfectly flat are nothing to be concerned about. I think you have done an amazing job. I am envious of your talents. Keep up the great work.
Apparently this English saying doesn’t translate well. lol.
@@shaneeickmeier6213 Aaah!! Fioufff! Thanks man for the clarity! 😅

I’m buying plans and building one for sure!!! Nice
Great news ! 👍
👍👍
I notice your plans on etsy stated not to use plasma table. What is your concern here? Is it a kerf issue?
Plasma is not precise enough! Holes won t be round! You ll spend days ans days to make it work and the table won t be as precise as a laser one...don t use plasma 😅
How do I purchase the build print ?
There’s a link in the description
Hot dog in hallway!!!! Un roteux
😉👍
is there a reason why the table shouldnt be plasma cut?
Oh yes! The holes, won't be round and precise...heck the entire table won't be precise at all! Don't use plasma, it's my recommandation!
Get two more steel plates (or cast iron, etc) and some diamond lapping paste; and lap it in using the three-plate method; the same way you'd make a surface plate from scratch. Using some high-torque, low-speed gear motors to move the plates back and forth makes this process much less tedious.
Then you'll have the flattest welding table in your entire town... perhaps country.
Just the tip Vinny, just the tip….
I'm gonna need more context...😅
If you cant make the accessories for the table precise, make it adjustable. Tthen precision is only limited to flatness of the table and your measuring tools..
I'm 100% with you on this one!
It's not much more expensive to bring in a TG&P round bar :)
You might be right, shouldn't be much expensive for tg-p! Well as I wrote this, I checked on mcmaster and it's 50$ for 72'' and it's only .625 +0 -.003...so not as precise as I thought, but still a good option! I'll stick with my CRS tho.
How do we order

Really nice table. You need to have words with whoever laser cut those parts. The edge quality is terrible. I run a 1kW fiber laser and can produce better edges than that.
