You want a Tad shorter BPS with a full flat grind, that cuts like a Laser out of the Box, making it an even more all around type use Knife, try out the BPS Savage.
You messed up that steak with the burn off over the young flame like that, like putting something in a candle flame gets you that burn off soot on it. Same thing. You do not want that. You want to cook over hot coals, in a pan, or even hot rocks. Flare ups now and then are fine, but that's an exception. Not trying to be rude. Just saying. Cheers.
BPS doesn't impress me at all. They are bad designs. Small handles for tiny hands. Soft steel that belongs on garden tools, not knives. Inconsistent fit/finish. Leather sheath that is not pure leather but some kind of composite. Again, not impressed with this company and their product.
@@LXT43 after carrying the Bushmate off and on for awhile I feel the same way. There are better options out there, Condor comes to mind. I like to rotate between my Mora and Tops knives for bushcraft. Hardly ever reach for the BPS.
Thanks bro! Knew you’d do an awesome review
@@411Outdoors thanks, we need to get up so I can return!
@@forestadventureswithscott8777 sounds good, buddy!
I put 1/16th thick teflon liners behind the wood handles, adding 1/8 " total to grip diameter. its now perfect!!
@@MichiganSilverBack good idea!
Yes, good idea. Are the screws still long enough?
@wekoweko71 yes. They screw into an aluminum sleeve or coupling, if you will. So there is some room.
@@MichiganSilverBack I'll do that, too. Thanks for your reply and the good advice 👍
