It's weird though since the show was still really good at the end of 4B imo, so there were a few episodes without Ragnar and it was just as good. But season 5 just doesn't hold up. I'm literally at a loss for words to describe how it's different but it just isn't as good. The main reason it annoys me is because for the rest of 4B without Ragnar I really enjoyed the show and I was convinced it would last without him but the first season to begin without him and *BLAM* somehow it's just not as good.
A true king Ps to the guy above: by that time ragnar was beyond broken, he was literally begging to die and end his suffering, there’s only so much hurt a man can take, no matter how great the man is.

Learning history on the history channel is believing a deer is a mouse. To learn history you have to want to learn history. Show was good but used to many lies.

Den Law Ragnar lothbrok is really one of the best characters in tv right now but it is really hard to decide if he is the best or not cuz there are other characters that have better acting than him examples Rick grimes ( the walking dead) Walter white (breaking bad) Tony soprano (The sopranos)
Not really, this last season is pretty good to me. But true, the show wasn't the same without Ragnar. The show was really good without him as well, but even better with him.
Samir J tbh, Vikings was an S Tier show imo. For me, it can proudly stand next to great shows like GOT. The practical effects were amazing, writing was good, the characters and their development was incredible and the actors as well. And on top of that, the last season wasn't complete garbage, unlike GOt
It took me 3 days to finish first 4 seasons in this qurantine.... All because of ranger.... And i haven't completed yet season 5 in almost 14 to 15 days... Again because of ragner.....
Although, I prefer Ragnar story. I have to say the actors do a really good job of playing his sons when it comes to mannerisms that Ragnar had in specific parts of his life.
The last 2 season will a massive let down. It had so much potential as well as a amazing cast. Instead the show focused on revenge , Flokis story was nonsense.

Travis fimmel made vikings 1 of the best TV series that i have ever seen and so did the guy who played bjorn i can't remember his name because of memory loss problems but I have an vikings addict who had a problem with it my problem was that they stopped filming it and left us with a bit of a habit because we couldn't get any more of it, it's a shame that all the best carictors had to die.
But they actually really did a great job of keeping it interesting after regnars death, ofcourse the first 4 are the best seasons but season 5 also isnt bad.
